Chapter ten

10.

       XARA. 

  I pulled back and stared into his eyes as his Blue orbs shined under the dimmed light of the room. 

   "What are you doing, red? "

   I asked, totally confused. Did he just kissed me? Did I just kissed back? 

    "Why did you leave in the first place? "

   He asked and I raised my brows confused. When did I leave? 

   "You got me so crazy and scared. I was worried about you. You don't even have anywhere to go, how could you have left like that? Never leave me like that again, okay? "

   He muttered while I just stared totally perplexed about the while situation. 

   Why is red acting like this? This isn't Red, did his head hit against something or what? Red would never say that. 

   "Red,  are you...? "

  I tried to say but he suddenly pulled me to his chest to hug him. Seriously? 

    "Don't say anything ... "

   And that was the most stupidest, craziest and Impossible dream I've ever in my entire life. 

   No wonder it was so unexpected and felt so unreal. I was gonna go crazy if red kisses me. But wait! Why will I dream about Red kissing me in the first place? 

  It's probably cause I was thinking too much of red before going to sleep, I really need to stop all these if I don't wanna disappear into a puff of air like Mermaid Lisa. 

    I groaned and got out of the bed. I glanced at the wall clock. 3:00am.

  I haven't even sleep that much. 

   I got out of my bed and grabbed the laptop like red told me it is which was beside my bed. 

  Red gave this to me. Actually, I just found it in this room untouched so I asked if I could use it and he told me to if I can. 

  Fuckin asshole! Couldn't even teach me something I didn't know. 

 I had to ask one of the guards on how to use the thing when I was less busy and finally I'm getting the hang of it. 

  It's really useful. A very powerful machine. 

  Humans are really highly intelligent and clever, I'll give them that. 

 But they're selfish, mean and rude. 

  Now that I think about it, I'm still yet to figure out why those humans kidnapped me. 

 And that human that saved me... Blake. 

  He sounded as if he knows red or something, I mean why else would he have known his house without me even telling the address? 

    I don't even want to get entangled with bad human business. 

    I opened the laptop and typed in the pass code before typing in vacant jobs. 

   A lot were displayed and I scrolled down through.. All these jobs requires qualifications. 

I can't believe I already know how to handle some of the human machine. I'm lucky to be a mermaid with fast learning skills.

   First, I don't know what the hell that thing is. 

   Second, I definitely have a feeling it's a human thing .

   Third, I know whatever it is there's possibly no way I can ever get it. 

   Which means I've never getting a job but how the hell do I survive through this stupid freakin human world. 

    I glanced back at the display on the screen and sighed. It wouldn't harm to try. 

 This one.... BT technologies. 

  I zoomed in the picture.. Wow, this company is a hit. It's building only. I'm sure it's gonna be more than this in reality. 

   I'm gonna try this out. 

     I dropped the laptop and got off the bed before walking downstairs. 

   I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a glass, filled it up with water and gulped it down before dropping it and sighing. 

    Life outside the sea is sure hard. I miss the mermaid world. I miss the sea. I miss mother. I miss crystalmerma. I miss kiara. I miss everything. 

    I breathed out and turned back and jumped in fright. Oh my gawd! 

   Red stared at me with his arms crossed over his chest and a smirk playing at the corner of his lips. 

   Damn! He's shirtless. My eyes unconsciously trailed down his chest and I let it linger a little across his abs. 

   He cleared his throat and I took my eyes back to his gaze. Why is he staring at me like that? 

    "I thought you left... "

  He trailed off and paced across the kitchen to get to my side. 

   I shifted back immediately but he took a step further, he's too close to me and he isn't giving me any space. 

  First, he's invading in my thoughts.. Now my breathing space? 

  He literally takes my breath away with his presence and perhaps my speaking ability cause I suddenly became nervous. 

    What is these feelings called in the human world? 

  To me, it's foolish. 

     "I never left. I just went out to... "

  I stopped and gazed at him before quickly averting it to the floor. I can't possibly tell him I went to look for him, now that I think about it that was a dumb thing to do. What's wrong with me? 

    "You went to what? "

   He asked moving closer and I moved back till my back hit against a hard surface, the refrigerator and there's no where to go again. 

   He smirked and took a step forward, closing every distance between us. 

    "I went out to get some fresh air. "

  I muttered, avoiding his gaze and suddenly his breath was all over my face. 

    I closed my eyes and reopened th

I closed my eyes and reopened them. I felt his touch, his hand on my skin. 

   I looked at him and he lifted up my chin. 

   I gulped in and watched his movement carefully. What is he doing? 

   He looked down at me  before looking back at my eyes. 

    "Why so I have this feeling that you are telling a lie? But it's okay anyways. You possibly have nowhere to go, you'll always remain here cause you basically cannot survive without me. "

   He smirked and I breathed out hard! 

   His hair flew to his face and he closed his eyes before opening them. 

   I stepped on him before pushing him off me. 

    That's what he thinks? I can't survive without him? How rude. I'm gonna show him, he should just wait and see. I'll make sure he eat back his word. 

   I walked back upstairs and breathed out. Such a proud guy, he's so gonna regret looking down on me and making me feel so little.

    #MORNING. 

   I came out of the bathroom and dried my body with a towel then applied my body lotion. 

    I put on one of the gowns red brought for me and sandals. 

   I let my hair fall down and walked downstairs. 

    Red and some guys stopped talking immediately and he took his eyes to me. He stared at me and I took my gaze away. 

     I walked past him but surprisingly he grabbed my wrist and pulled me back. 

    "Where are you going? "

   He asked and I scoffed before proceeding to walk away but he pulled me back again. 

     "Where are you going, xara? "

   He muttered, holding tightly to my hand. 

     "None of your fuckin business red, let me go. "

    I whimpered and he gritted his teeth together. 

       "Come here. "

     He grabbed my hand and pulled me away. 

    "What do you think you're doing xara, where the fuck are you going? "

   He snapped angrily and I scoffed. 

    "You told me that I couldn't survive without you right? I'm going to prove you wrong. "

   I snapped and walked out despite his callings. 

   But... How do I get there? I don't even know the direction there. How the hell will I get there? 

      I got out of the house and looked round the street. 

    I started moving down the street but suddenly bumped into someone. I grumbled and looked up. Blake? 

     "What are you doing here? "

    I muttered and he smiled at him softly. 

    "You seem to be going somewhere. "

    He muttered nodding his head to my dress and I sighed. 

    "Yes, I'm going to... Can you please help me to BT technologies? "

   I asked and he stiffened for a moment and I wondered why. 

    "Does red know that you're going to BT technologies? "

    He asked and I raised my brows. 

     "No and what if he does? It's none of his fuckin business.. "

   He smiled and led me to his car and we got in. 

   Now that I see him in broad daylight. He's really beautiful. Green dark eyes and blonde hair. 

      "What so you want to do with BT technologies? "

   He asked and started the car. 

      "I want a job. "

   I uttered and he smiled at me.

     He asked some questions on the way which I answered till he stopped in front of a building. 

    Wow... It's really beautiful. 

   I stepped out of the car and thanked Blake, he smiled before driving off while I made my way to the building. 

    I stepped in and went to a woman I saw attending to others. 

    "Hi, I'm  here to see the boss. "

   I muttered and she just stared at me weirdly before asking me to seat. 

  How rude.

   After waiting for an hour, I was finally ushered in. I was took to the boss by a lady. We entered the elevator, took some stairs before finally arriving there. 

    The lady smiled at me and walked away. I breathed in and knocked on the door. 

    I heard a come in before entering and I walked inside. 

   "Good morning, I... "

   I stopped immediately as my eyes widened and my jaw dropped. 

    Him?
