CLUMSY MERMAID

    IN_THE_SEA.

    .

     "It's true really, there are humans in the world, up after the sea. I see some always come here to take a look at the sea "

   Xara uttered as she swim alongside her two best friends. Kiara and crystalmerma. 

    "Really? So we are being watched by those people? "

  Kiara uttered excitedly, her tail doing a double flip. 

   "Yes, the humans are so beautiful. They also wear some strange clothes. "

  Xara uttered again. 

    "Really? Can I go see? Pleaseeeee! I really want to see one "

   Kiara danced again. 

    "No... "

   Crystalmerma spoke up for the first time. 

   "You guys are going no where. I don't know what's wrong with you xara, the queen has already warned you to stop speaking about those humans but you won't stop blabbering about those monsters. And now you too, kiara. Are you guys crazy? "

   She scolded. 

     Xara scoffed and stopped swimming turning to crystalmerma. 

   "I think you guys are just being absurd. Those humans are not monsters, they're just creatures who think catching fishes from seas is cool. There's nothing monstrous about that "

   She folded her arms against her chest and crystal shook her head. 

   "Those non monstrous like you said are the ones who captured Fiona a hundred thousand years ago "

   "That was hundred thousand years ago. There ancestors are the ones rude, not now. Just like aunt Elle from a hundred years ago was evil in the mermaid world, same with their ancestors "

  Xara defended. 

    "Yes, wait till they kidnap you too then you'll know they're monstrous. Let's just go to the palace. I'm sure you already missed the meeting cause you were busy blabbing about your idols. "

   Crystalmerma muttered and swam forward, leaving the duo behind. 

    "She's so unpredictable "

   Xara muttered and swim together with kiara to the palace. 

    THE_PALACE.

   "And so you mind telling me why you were so late to the meeting princess xara? "

  The queen scolded as xara swam in to the meeting. 

   "I'm sorry mama. I was coming from offshore and it's a long distance before I get here "

  Xara muttered and she watched her mother's eyes turned to that of anger. 

   "How many times will I warn you not to go offshore again? You're gonna get caught by those monsters! Why won't you just listen?! "

  The queen yelled, standing up as all mermaids bowed to her. 

   "But mama, the humans are not monsters. They are really cool and.. "

   "Shut up! "

  The queen yelled and xara shook in fear. 

    "Now get out of here. You'll be in lockdown for five days. You shall not come out of your room. Maybe then you'll be back to your senses and perform your duties as a mermaid princess instead of going about defending those monsters! "

  The queen ordered and xara swim out of the palace in sadness. 

  She doesn't understand why they don't just get it. Why they keep calling them monsters. 

  She's sure they would have been doing the same thing if they were created as humans instead of mermaids. 

   Xara swims offshore instead of her room. 

   She's just gonna see the human world one more time before she won't be allowed to come out again. 

  On getting offshore, xara smiled and swims happily as her eyes met with the bright sky but her eyes also met with something else. 

   She gasped, it's a human. 

   He made eye contact with her as his bright dark eyes shine. 

  Wow, he's beautiful but that's not the time for that. 

   He saw her. He saw her. He wasn't supposed to see her, it was against the rules. 

   What will she do?

XARA. 

   I can't believe i just allowed a human to See Me. I'm gonna be in deep trouble with mother, why did I even came here in the first place? 

   I looked over at him again and his eyes were glued to mine. 

   I gasped and dugged into the sea immediately. 

   I swim back to my room and sat on my bed. What will I do? It's only a matter of seconds before mother finds out. 

   Making sure no human sees you is the most sacred rule here. 

   Once you let out your identity, you endanger other mermaids and you'll be sent out of the sea. 

   Many years ago.. Mermaid Lisa made a mistake by letting a human see her. Then those humans came to the sea and injured lots of mermaids. 

  Mermaid Lisa was banished from the royalty sea and every other seas so she had no choice but to go to the human world. 

   She fell in love with a human and mermaids are known to love only once in their lifetime.  

  The human couldn't return the love and mermaid Lisa disappeared into a puff of air. 

     "Xara!! "

  I heard someone screamed my name and I gasped. Oh no, they're here to take me. 

  Mother found out! 

   Two security entered and dragged me up from my room and we swim to the palace. 

    Every mermaids was present and I was in the middle of the palace with mother fuming with anger on her throne. 

"What did you do this time xara? "

  She roared and everywhere shake.

   I closed my eyes and breathed out. 

    "It wasn't my fault. I didn't know that human was there, I just wanted to see the sky "

  I explained. 

    "Shut up! I can't believe this! I told you to go inside your room , didn't I? But you never listen. Now that human has seen you and you'll be punished for it. "

   Mom roared and I looked up at her in tears. 

    "Princess xara of the royalty sea will hereby be stripped of her authorises and will be sent out of this sea. Never to be seen again! 

  You wanted to see the humans, right? Well now you can do that "

   Mother turned her back as tears rolled down my cheeks. 

  No, no please. How will I survive? How do I act in the human world? 

   I looked over at Diana, my sister who had a smile plastered across her face .

   Yes, she has always hate me and I don't even know why. 

   I looked over at mother whose back is still turned to me. 

   "Mother, please. Don't do this please, I promise never to go offshore again. Please mother "

  I begged. 

   "I warned you xara. Now look where your stubbornness led you to, I'm sorry but there's nothing I can do. 

  Take her away "

    She ordered and I was dragged away by the guards. 

  I looked over at my friends and they shook their heads in sadness. 

    I was pushed out of the sea and I swim to offshore. 

   I looked down back at the sea before getting out. 

    My tail disappeared and it was replaced with two legs just like the humans. 

    I smiled as I looked back at the sea, my reflection looking back at me. 

   My blue yellow mermaid eyes was replaced with dark brown ones and my green hair changed to gold. 

   Now, I'm naked. How do I cover myself? 

  I walked down the sand and saw some clothes that the human wears on the floor. 

   I quickly grabbed it and put it on then start walking but my legs were feeling somehow. It felt strange walking on my feets.

   Walking with human legs is gonna take some time to get used to. 

   Now, where do I start from? 

  How do I find that human I saw at the sea? 

    He's the only one that can help me. Why won't he? He was the reason I was sent out of the sea in the first place! 

     I breathed out and looked round, human world is sure beautiful but I miss the sea. 

   I walked alongside some humans who were looking weirdly at me. 

  Is something wrong with me? Why are they looking at me like that? 

   I frowned and looked up. God, please help me. 

     I got to a place and they were giant machines going up and down. 

  How do I move to the other side? 

    I quickly ran to the middle of the road when I saw that it was empty but I ran into a car instead. 

  It didn't hit me but I jammed in the glass. 

      "The fuck? "

  I heard someone muttered and I looked up as dark blue eyes stared back at me. 

    Oh my gawd!
