am2_3 Chapter 3 Is He Ronald's Dad?

Five years later.

In Hilton Hotel.

As soon as Suzy opened the door of the private room, she smelled the pungent scent of cigarette smoke.

Scanning her surroundings, she finally found the person she was looking for. The person in question was currently drunk and lying on top of a man.

“Lawrence, come, let’s have another drink,” said Yvonne Lake. She burped and sat down on the man’s lap, sweetly asking, “Aren’t I beautiful?”

Lawrence Chance said nothing, simply drinking his wine with no expression whatsoever on his face. He had no interest in the women who would suddenly cling onto him. On the contrary, his attention was captured by the woman who had just pushed the door open and entered the private room.

She was wearing an ordinary cartoon T-shirt. It was clear that it was just a cheap brand. But, her skin was rather fair. Moreover, the features on her palm-sized face were quite exquisite.

It seemed like she was quite young, and she appeared to be innocent yet seductive at the same time.

Suzy had no idea that she had just become someone’s target. Spotting Yvonne sitting on a man’s lap, she could not help rolling her eyes. She approached her and snatched the glass of wine away.

“Yvonne, Jack asked me to take you home.”

Jack was Yvonne’s agent. He had some family business to deal with, and so, he had asked Suzy to take the drunk Yvonne home.

Yvonne shoved Suzy away. “I don’t want to go home!” Narrowing her eyes, she looked at Lawrence. “You haven’t answered my question!”

Lawrence pushed Yvonne off his lap and onto the floor. He then looked up at Suzy and said, “I’ll give you a million dollars to be with me for a night. How about it?”

It took a long while for a very stunned Suzy to regain her senses and realize that he was talking to her.

A million dollars. It was a million dollars again!

Suzy was shaking internally. Was he the man from five years ago? And if he was, would he promise to save Ronald?

She had all kinds of questions in her heart.

Hearing his proposition, Yvonne stood up and sternly glared at Suzy. “How wonderful! Suzy, you came and tried to snatch my man away from me.”

Suzy frowned. “Yvonne, you’re drunk. Let me take you home.”

“Don’t be a hypocrite, Suzy. I know what you’re thinking right now,” said Yvonne, looking at her scornfully. She laughed icily. “You’re not as innocent as you seem. Don’t try to act like you’re so much better than the rest of us.”

Keeping in mind that she was indebted to Jack, Suzy suppressed her anger. She did not want to argue with that crazy girl.

The sound of her phone blaring “Mom, you’ve got a phone call” snapped her back to reality. It was her ringtone.

She turned around, intending to answer the call outside the private room. But she was suddenly hugged from behind, and her phone was snatched away too.

“Give my phone back to me!” Suzy turned back and stared at Lawrence with anger written all over her face.

Lawrence smiled softly. He handed a glass of red wine to her and spoke in a deep, sexy voice, “As long as you finish this glass of wine, I’ll return it to you.”

Infuriated, Suzy clenched her fists tightly and gritted her teeth, staring at the man standing before her. He laughed wickedly and switched off her vibrating phone with a flick of his finger.

“Be with me for a night. Then, I’ll let you take up the role of the female lead.”

He had seen so many women who worked in the entertainment circle. They all just wanted to get famous.

Suzy was so frustrated that she started to tremble. How terrible he was!

What would she do if he was indeed Ronald’s father? Did she want Ronald to be with this man?

In despair, she looked around the private room and realized that everyone was waiting for her response. Their reactions ranged from jealousy and contempt to disdain and indifference.

Suzy blinked her eyes and broke into a fake smile. “Is that true? I have something to tell you. Could you ask the others to leave?”
