The first semester of college...I looked in the mirror and found myself staring at the more mature and grown-up version of myself. Or at least, that's what I think I am. Macie would disagree and call me immature at times but we both knew between me and my brother Jake, I was ten times more mature.

I guess my harsh treatment got through to her. She stopped bothering me. I didn't see her every morning, running to my car with food in her hands. Nor did she hang around me on campus and stared at me longingly. I finally got rid of her.I saw her walking to her class a few times. She looked away when our eyes met and kept walking."I guess she finally got the hint, huh?" Macie said. We were sitting in the cafe after class.
