Chapter 20: A new Ability

The sound from my phone woke me up, it was a text from Cassie saying that she needed to talk to me but that she was okay. I had gone to Cassie house a few hours before but realised that she was out with Leah, I was a bit worried, but after I had flown around a bit and not detected any threats I had gone back home for a nap. I was seriously lacking in the sleep de

Chapter 21: An Emotional Evening

Leah’s car pulled up to the house and Cassie and Leah got out as I watched from the tree, I did not expect Cassie to look up to where I was sitting as I had only just said goodbye to Cassie before she left my house. Surprisingly, the window to her room opened a few moments later and Cassie looked out from it and waved at me before she closed it again. I was surprised that she had not left the window open for me as usual but maybe she needed some alone time. After all, I was sort of staking her.

Chapter 22: Elemental Magic

Cassie's cheerful good morning greeting woke me up. She seemed to be in a very good mood. I was happy that it looked like she had recovered from the previous day.Not long after she had gone downstairs, I heard the front door opened. I watched as Leah and Cassie got in the car. I started to follow but thought better of it. It was probably better if I just went home and

Chapter 23: The Official Date

I spent some time trying to find the right outfit, I wanted to look a bit dressed up but at the same time I did not want it to look like I was trying too hard. When I was finally happy with what I was wearing I made my way down to the garage to get my car and drive over to Cassie's house to pick her up for our date. I was very excited. I had booked us a table at a restaurant that was located by a river. It looked nice and cosy with an outdoor terrace overlooking the scenery. My first thought was to go somewhere very fancy, mainly to show off, but I had realised that it was not Cassie's style, and she would likely appreciate this place better.

Chapter 25: A Magical tree

After an hour or so Leah turned up to give Cassie a ride home. Cassie and I got out to the driveway to greet her. When Leah got out of the car, she looked happy and excited. I could tell that she had been practising magic as the energy she radiated was almost overwhelming, especially considering the neutral energy that normally surrounded her, due to the enchantment of the house her and Cassie lived in.

Chapter 26: An Evening Without Cassie

I woke up the next morning with Cassie looking at me strangely., It was easy to tell that she was trying to talk to me telepathically. I really wished that I could hear her but unfortunately there were no voices to be heard in my mind. After a while she seemed to give up trying and instead just said Good morning out loud.

Chapter 27: Feeling the Energy

I woke up as the sun was starting to come up, creating a colourful display in the sky. After a while, I flew over to Cassie's window to check on her. She was still asleep but seemed a bit restless. I hoped that she did not have another nightmare

Chapter 28: A Pentagram of Energy

I flew over to Cassie's house and while I waited for Leah's car to turn up, I transformed back to my human form. When they got out of the car, I started walking towards them. I had tried to come up with the best way for Leah to sense the energy around the house, but as she could not fly, she would have to walk around it on the ground.

Chapter 29: A Spell to Recall Memories

I had completely forgotten that we had fallen asleep on the sofa the day before, so when Cassie started to move, I thought I was under attack. I quickly jumped out of the sofa, ready to summon my weapons, should I need to. As I looked around, I realised where I was and started to relax. Cassie looked a bit stunned. "What was that?"
