Chapter 11.

“Ouch”, I yelped as my butt hit the ground for the tenth time that night. There was no hope for me, I was absolutely horrible at ice-skating and Bianca was doing a damn good job at showing me how bad I was at the sport, “Look at me mummy! I’m skating! This is so fun!”, Bianca hooted as she did an elegant turn, leaving me to wonder how she had even learnt how to do that,“This is so not fun”, I whined as Blaine went to pull me up from the floor, I dusted off the snow on my jeans and stylishly massaged my ass- I had no doubt that I had suffered a couple of bruises, heck! Maybe a broken ass for all I knew.“Sorry, Belle&r

Chapter 12.

Anabelle's POV. The date had gone perfectly well- much better than I had expected it to go. Blaine and Bianca sure knew how to brighten up a room; I had laughed so hard, especially when Blaine used his French fries as fangs, the act was childish- extremely childish but it was also very cute. What wasn’t cute was the fact that my suddenly spoilt daughter started demanding for fries as well, saying, and I quote, “I want to be like Dracula”. If she wasn’t so cute, she would have been grounded- not that she went out frequently but I could stop her from going to the park.

Chapter 13.

Anabelle's POV. Nothing was official- at least, not yet. But it was impossible to deny the chemistry Blaine and I shared or the sly kisses we stole whenever we got the chance and privacy. Really though, how many people in this century actually stuck with the good old ‘asking out’ routine? I mean how do relationships actually end when they never officially started? One day you just wake up and start calling a person you have shared a few kisses with your boyfriend or girlfriend- it was really funny.

Chapter 14.

Anabelle's POV. The car came to an abrupt stop in front of a large cabin- like building. My eyes widened at the exterior of the place, it was absolutely breath taking and a huge bonus was that it was hidden and far away from any other building or house in town- the perfect place for a kidnapper to hide his victim. Not that he was a kidnapper or anything. After taking in my surroundings- lots and lots of trees, I finally got a better look of the two storied cabin. Of course, the walls were made entirely out of wood but one look at it and I knew it was very solid and could probably withstand any weather

Chapter 15.

Anabelle's POV.The next day at work, I was much more distracted than usual. I could not seem to get the beautiful scenery out of my mind, it was burned into my memory just like the hot kiss Blaine had stolen from me as the water splashed unto our feet in small calming waves. The moment seemed perfect, the sun setting behind us, spreading beautiful shades of orange, yellow, purple and red over the horizon- picture perfect. But that was not the only thing that tugged aimlessly unto my delicate brain, I really wished it was but no, my life was full of feral thorns waiting to prick me if I dared to touch the roses.

Chapter 16.

Anabelle’s POV.There was something about stress that made journeys longer, of course, the distance from Blaine’s home to mine was no trekking distance but right then in his car, felt like we were going two towns over. Bianca who had been woken up from her sleep had fallen sound once again in the back seat of the car while I stayed wide awake, unable to bat an eyelid shut for more than a minute. We finally pulled into the garage of his house, the large space filled with other beautiful and expensive looking cars- I was never too

Chapter 17.

Anabelle's POV.“Good morning sunshine”, Blaine greeted as I sulked my way into the living room,I let out a loud groan before plopping myself on the sofa, “There is nothing good about mornings, what time is it?”, my eyes were half way shut and I could tell that my words were slurred, would it be so bad if I just slept for the rest of the day?“Do not even think about it, Belle. It is nine in the morning and the court trial starts in three hours”, my eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets,

Chapter 18.

Anabelle's POV.Being alone was one of my best hobbies, I mean, being alone doesn’t really mean you are lonely right? You could be in a room full of your closest friends and family and yet, you could still be… alone. Sometimes, being alone was the best type of feeling you could ever get; the serenity, the peace, the quiet and the calmness were all things even the most important people begged for, while some of us lucky people got it free of charge- I was one of those lucky people.I watched in awe as the waves hit the shore in the most elegant way possible, the scenery of this place never ceased to amuse me and

Chapter 19.

Anabelle's POV. Dinner was extremely silent for me as I just couldn’t clear my conscience or the thought that he had an injury because I allowed him to chop the fucking tomatoes. I couldn’t stop glaring at the bandage on his hand, I hated that he had it. He had done so much for me and my daughter and how did I pay him back? By giving him the chance to cut himself… accidentally. What the fuck was I thinking?“Belle?”, I heard him call my name and I immediately looked up to meet his eyes, “Why are you crying?”, I was crying? How had I not noticed that?

Chapter 20.

Anabelle's POV.After completing the dishes, Blaine and I had made our way to the basement, we sat down behind Bianca who had her eyes glued to the massive television in front of her- I was quite sure that she hadn’t even noticed us entering, but if she did, she had decided not to acknowledge our presence, not that we minded that at all.As usual, Blaine’s arm had found its place on my shoulder and he used his hand to pull me impossibly closer to him. I was somewhat squished in his body in an awkward position that was actually very comfortable, the warmth of his body wrapped around me in the cold room was amazin
