Aisha cried all day and slept all night. She woke up after midnight and was lucky the fever had gone down and she realized she was hungry beyond words could tell. She slowly walked to the kitchen and cooked for herself, after she was done, she took the plate to the balcony and sat down with a heavy heart. She sighed and hugged her body before she ate her food, she was still feeling dizzy and sick. She finished eating and stared blankly into space, not bring herself up to cry or even feel. The chilly wind of Taraba woke her up and she felt as the pain, the ache and heartbreak through her soul in full force. She couldn’t life a finger and she sat there unmoving as she watched the sky getting clearer with each passing minute. She was only crying, not that she felt the pain in her heart but because she figured it was only natural for her to cry over this. One of the resisdents came walking around when he spotted Aisha and he seemed to be terrified. He spoke to her but there were only tears from her eyes, and that made him realized she couldn’’t speak. He was the one that guided Khalid’s relatives to the house when they arrived in Bauchi. It wasn’t an easy task driving in Buachi with no precise location and he had been on phone with them until he was fortunate enough to get the right location they were in. Something was surely bothering him, he didn’t know the kind of life Aisha had been living in that house. She had no phone with her, and whenever he pestered Nana to call her, they would have to wait until Abba got back home and he would give her the phone to chat briskly with him. Her whole shoulders shook, this was the first breakdown she had ever since she came back to Buachi. She had stayed in this house alone with neither laughter nor tears. But today, as she told Mama all that had been happening in her life, Aisha had the most painful breakdown. Mama was crying so much that she couldn’t even console Aisha to stop crying too. She had never imagined the kind of life Aisha was living in Taraba, but now that knew; she felt disgusted of herself. Abba staggered backwards and felt as though she pointed an arrow to his heart. He placed his hands on his cheek and touched, he still couldn’t believe that Aisha slapped and even acted as if she didn’t know him. What kind of life had she been living ever since she left his house? He had been looking for her all over Taraba and still couldn’t see find her until today. Almost after every two days he made sure he came to A & H with the hope of seeing her but he didn’t until today. It got to the point that fought with Nuiryya because of how worried he seemed.

Just like Humaira ordered, no one dared let Abba into A & H from that day. It had already been months, but Abba could only wait when he saw her driving out of the hotel and he would follow her. He knew she knew of his stalking and was just waiting for the right time to have her guys mercilessly deal with him. But he wasn’t going to relent just too soon, he knew she was going back to him. She was only angry at him for a mean but as he kept persisting, Abba was sure she would relent and come back home. That way, this silence Mama and his whole family were treating him will be brought to an end. He knew if it was their normal selves, Mama would’ve already came to Taraba herself or sent Nasir to come and check up on him since he changed hi sismcard, but none came.

The police came in and both Humaira and Abba were handcuffed and taken to the police station for further investigations. Huamira had been crying all the way, she had been in the poloce stations for times she couldn’t care to count, but today was a different case. She had never thought of killing someone, but today she was a murder susupect. Who called the police in the first place? That’s a question for another day. All she had been doing was stared at her blood stained hands non stop. She couldn’t believe the blood in her hands was Rafiq’s, that Rafiq was gone forever. Who killed her Rafiq?
