   Faith was finally discharged and as they headed back home, the silence in the car was deafening to her. A smile escaped her lips at the sudden thought of being Gunner’s girlfriend, and her parents were not letting her live that moment.  

   “You did what?” Palmer asked, surprised, “do you have any idea how bad that’s for you? We don’t need them to keep bullying you again.”    Christopher shrugged his shoulders

     Grace was frozen on the spot as Bill’s voice was resonating on the other side of the phone. Her heart was pounding and her head was starting to ache. 

   It was Tuesday morning and Gunner would finally leave the hospital. Faith wanted to see him, but her parents had prohibited any interaction with him. She decided to walk to school instead of taking the school bus, but on the way there, she took a detour towards the bus station.
