Chapter 2

Evan's POVI'd never been so eager to get home. I couldn't stop watching the clock for the rest of the day, waiting for school to end. As soon as I got home I threw my bag on the floor beside my bedroom door and flopped down onto my mattress, glad to be back in the comfort of my bed once again. I let out an exasperated sigh. Today had been unbearably annoying.

Chapter 3

Waeland's POV I leaned against my locker, listening to the group of people that called themselves my friends. I was pretty sure they all just hung around me for my popularity and/or money. Except for Samantha.

Chapter 4

Evan's POV So there I was at the popular kids' table, not by my own will, either. Seriously - Waeland had picked me up bridal style,

Chapter 5

Evan's POVThe walk to the nurse's office felt like forever. I couldn't stop running all these scenarios through my head. What if I got suspended? Or worse, expelled? Then I'd never get into a good college, and I wouldn't get a good job and I'd have to find another way to take care of my dad. Why did I let my anger get to me like that? It was so stupid of me!

Chapter 6

Evan's POV  I woke up the next day and looked at the clock beside my bed to see that it was around ten in the morning. I didn't mean to sleep in, but since it's a weekend, I guess it doesn't matter. My eyes squinted at the bright sunlight that came beaming in through my window. I almost went back under the covers, but I need to get up. So I sat up in bed and rubbed my eyes, hoping to rub the sleepiness away. It helped a little bit, not as much as I wished it would, but it was enough. I looked over at my nightstand again and noticed the note from Waeland sitting beside the clock. I put it there last night before I fell asleep, I don’t know why I decided to keep it though. It’s not like I’m going to actually use his number.

Chapter 7

Waeland's POV "Wow, Waeland, I never expected you to actually bring him. I thought you were just kidding," Jonah said as he took a sip of whatever alcoholic beverage he picked up. "When am I ever joking?" I asked, raising a brow at him. He laughed and patted my shoulder. I rolled my eyes and smiled. "Yeah, I know. I kid around a lot, but I was serious about bringing him. It was a lot of trouble so I wasn't going to give up so easily." Jonah nodded, "Now that sounds like you. Not wanting to put your work to waste." He then looked behind me and tilted his head a little before smirking. "Hey, I think your buddy is looking for you." I turned aro

Chapter 8

Evan's POV I woke up with my head pounding, as if my brain was trying to escape my skull. I groaned and blinked a few times, adjusting to the light before sitting up. I don't know what time it is, but seeing as it's still dark outside; I'm assuming it's around midnight or later. I rubbed my eyes in attempt to see better and got up, realizing I was on the couch. I want my bed. My comfy warm bed... I thought, picking up the blankets that were draped over my body. I dragged my heavy feet up the flight of stairs, wishing that we didn’t have stairs. It would make getting to my room much easier. When I got to the top, I walked to my bedroom. I opened the door slowly with a small creak. I wrapped the blankets around me and flopped o

Chapter 9

Evan's POV  I found the shovel in the backyard beside the small shed that my dad had for the few tools he had and the lawn mower. I glanced around the yard, looking for a good spot for my resting place. Until my dad noticed me from the back door and came outside."Whatcha doin', kiddo?" He asked, glancing between the shovel and me with a questioning look on his face."Burying myself in the backyard," I replied dryly."Um... Why would you do that?""I kissed Waeland. And the moment I did that, I signed my death warrant. So, here I am." I said and gestured to the shovel. Oh. I just realized I told my dad I kissed another boy. Well, as far as I know, my dad's not a homophobe so I don't think he'll flip or anything. I hope. That's when I heard a small snicker and someone trying to hold back l

Chapter 10

Evan's POV"Shut up..." I grumbled, irritated as Wealand kept laughing. "I never thought you'd be the type of guy who screamed like a girl. And your face was priceless! You should have seen it, you would have laughed, too." He said as he chuckled and looked at me. "I wouldn't have laughed." I crossed my arms and stomped off. Yes, I'm acting like a two-year-old, but I don't care. He's annoying me. "Aww, hey, don't act like that. I was just playing with you." Waeland whined as he chased after me. He caught up quickly and grabbed my hand. I almost jerked my hand out of his
