I sat behind my desk, leaning back and relaxing into my office chair. My legs spread wide apart, My black stiletto heels resting upon the surface of my desk in an attempt at keeping my shaking legs at bay. 

This side of Lucien is something I was very afraid of, something that shook me to my core. With Lucien's threat James  bolted up and raced for the door grabbing the arm of his girlfriend and pulling her with him as they made their way out of my office. My heart sunk. They had left me alone with a fuming Lucien. 

I shivered at his deep husky voice still making an appearance even in a whisper.  How is it that I still have butterflies at his touch? How is that possible? 

Lucien gracefully Stepped forward raising his hand to my cheek gently glazing his palm across my rosy red cheek with his right hand.  His thumb slowly smoothing across the skin of my jaw as he took a hold of my chin between his thumb and finger. 

 She rubbed James's arm placing a kiss to his cheek before making her way towards the table that the other women were occupying.  "Hey María" James greeted me with a smile. At his words the whole group of women's heads snapped towards me each with a snarl on their faces.  

Roaming my eyes over the crowd I searched the room for any sign of my brothers, or the Garcia brothers. I strained my neck, It's pretty hard to see with so many tall men in here. Eventually My eyes landed on Lucien who was already looking right at me.  He licked his lips before giving me a small smile. I made my way over to him, James clearing and guiding me through the crowd of men.  Lucien reached out, taking ahold of my hand in his and pulling me into his warm embrace. The scent of his cologne enveloping me as he wrapped his arms around me firmly.  A content sigh passed my lips as I relaxed into the warmth and safety of Lucien. Lucien looked down at me "What's wrong princess" He asked with a worried look upon his face.  He looked into my eyes as if he was searching them for an explanation. "Nothing, I'm fine I promise" I said trying to sou

I kept a straight face masking my true feeling on the situation.  "NOW SIT" I Yelled. 

"Yo you alright man?" Diego asked patting my shoulder to snap me out of my thoughts. Throughout the meeting María looked sad, Distracted even. 

María pull at her arm, trying to pull it from my tight hold.  With no success it angered her as I watched her screw her face up 

María's pov-  I slid my back down the wall, my knees collapsing beneath me, My tears uncontrollably streaming down my face.
