        “A sacrifice?”asked Carmen in confusion. “What kind of sacrifice? Money?”she inquired, turning around to the other brother. 

        They rode in silence. The two brothers were sitting in front, Ronald in the passenger seat and Adrian was driving. 

        Carmen opened her eyes widely. She turned her eyes away and stared at her beige and brown furniture as she tried to grasp what she had heard. 

        Carmen walked out, her hand entangled with her brother’s. She sent a smile towards Ronald who was waiting for her in the car. 

       “It’s really not what it sounds like.”
