Five hours later.

The sky was already turning bright.

The faint colors of dawn began piercing through the Tokyo skies.

A new day had begun. Many had just awoken from a deep slumber, but many too, didn’t get a wink’s worth of sleep.

Last night, the entire Tokyo city had been turned upside down.

All of the officers from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department had been dispatched, and they had even seconded a large number from several nearby cities. Not only did they search all over Tokyo, but they also barricaded all the roads leading out of Tokyo.

Countless roadblocks were set up, where police conducted strict searches on each vehicle that was leaving the city. It was all because they needed to find the whereabouts of the Schulz siblings.

Overnight, the entire Tokyo city fell into a state of emergency.

Media houses had already been told that the eldest grandson and granddaughter of the most influential family in Oskia had been kidnapped in Tokyo. To add on to that buzz, more than a dozen of their subordinates had been murdered.

Such mind-blowing news was totally unprecedented!

Even though Tokyo had also encountered terrorist attacks and several major criminal cases in the past, there had never been such a horrifying and vicious case as this.

After all, the Schulz family was the wealthiest and most powerful family in Oskia.

They actually encountered such a serious criminal case in Japan. The nature of this crime was even more serious than if Bill Gates were to be kidnapped in Tokyo.

The men working for the Schulz family also looked around Tokyo for half the night.

This time around, the Schulz’ did not only send more than a hundred masters over to Tokyo, but Sheldon even personally made a trip here.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department saw Sheldon’s arrival in Tokyo as of utmost importance. The Superintendent General personally invited him to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department to inform and update him about this investigation process.

The so-called investigation process was simply to bring Takahashi Machi and Ito Yahiko to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department for an interrogation, as both of them were suspects in this case.

Moreover, both of these parties were currently assuming that the crime was carried out by the other, putting the blame on themselves at the same time.

Yahiko felt that Machi was deliberately trying to take advantage of this incident to smear and damage the Ito family’s reputation. He believed that Machi was simply trying to use the Schulz family to directly eradicate the Ito family.

On the other hand, Machi felt that Yahiko was deliberately setting him up because the Ito family could not secure the collaboration and partnership contract with the Schulz family. However, the evidence from the crime scene seemed a little out of place.

No one had gotten injured by the shuriken at the scene where the shuriken was discovered. The murderer was so professional, and he killed more than a dozen people without leaving a single survivor behind. So, why did he leave behind a shuriken that was basically useless at the crime scene?

This was most likely a cover-up that the other party was using to deflect any suspicion from themselves.

So, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department told Sheldon, “Mr. Schulz, we will have to continue the investigation, and we’ll look into this case. After all, it is challenging for us to crack the case based on the evidence of a shuriken alone. Furthermore, this could most likely be a piece of evidence that the murderer intentionally left behind to confuse and misdirect us.”

Sheldon clenched his fists and shouted angrily.

“I don’t care if the evidence was left behind to confuse or misdirect the police! I will not pursue this matter any further if the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department can find my son and daughter and ensure their safety within twenty-four hours. However, if it exceeds twenty-four hours or anything were to happen to them, I will definitely ensure this goes global! I will make sure that the entire Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department loses all of its credibility and reputation!”

The Superintendent General of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department felt extremely uneasy at his statement and did not know what to do.
