Chapter 1726

That night, the four of them took shifts monitoring. The shift was split into two and for each shift, two people would be monitoring while the other two would rest. Each person would be working for four hours to ensure that the rest of them got enough rest.

They thought that their plan was perfect but they had no idea that everything had all been planned by Charlie.

Till now, Charlie hasn't taken any actions because he didn’t want to tip off the enemy. Additionally, he wanted to proceed more flexibly as things unfolded.

The main reason as to why he was not interested in dealing with these ninjas in Tokyo was because he didn’t want the Takahashi family to be on his tail since he would be travelling to several other cities as well. If he were to kill off the ninjas, the Takahashi family would definitely watch him like a hawk, which would cause more problems in the future.

Instead of all these unnecessary problems, it would be better to just let these four ninjas follow him. When the opportunity arises, he would then try to take them out one by one.

At eight in the morning, Charlie got up to bathe and take his breakfast. Isaac’s escort team was already waiting downstairs then.

As Paul had completed his work, Charlie arranged for him to fly back to Aurous Hill in order for him to start his work in his law firm without delay.

After the escorts had sent Paul on his way, Charlie, Albert, Liam, Isaac, and Ichiro immediately left Tokyo and made their way to Yokohama.

Masatetsu and his siblings tailed them in two commercial vehicles. It was originally thought that Charlie was just going to the airport to see Paul off, but unexpectedly, the escort team did not return to downtown Tokyo but directly made their way to Yokohama instead.

Immediately, Masatetsu called Machi to report on Charlie’s departure from Tokyo.

Machi ordered him to continue his tracking and not to act rashly for the time being.

At the same time, Jaime and Sophie Schulz were attending a formal meeting with Machi. They met at the property owned by the Takahashi family in Ginza, Tokyo.

Machi enthusiastically invited the two of them into his office.

He then said humbly, “I had originally intended to invite the two of you for a simple exchange but an accident happened and thus, I was forced to delay our meeting. I really hope that you can forgive me for this.”

Jaime, who is the eldest grandson of the Schulz family, laughed and replied, “Mr. Takahashi is too polite. May I know if your son’s injury is getting better?”

Machi sighed aloud and said, “Both his arms had to undergo some surgical treatment and they’re now in casts. It might take a while for him to recover.”

Jaime nodded slightly and said politely, “It’s such a pity that Eikichi had to encounter such an incident. If you need anything from our family, Mr. Takahashi, we will try our best to help. Please do not hesitate to ask!”

Although Machi knew that Jaime was just being polite, he still replied gratefully, “Thank you so much for your concern, Mr. Schulz.”

Jaime smiled. “You don't have to be so polite, Mr. Takahashi. The Schulz family is very particular when it comes to taking care of our alliances. Since you and I are about to reach an agreement, then we will be considered partners. Thus, we will try our best to help out partners. I was just on a call with my father yesterday night and he was very worried about Eikichi, even constantly reminding me to ask you about his condition. If you need the Schulz family’s help, we will do our best to aid you. If the bone specialists in Japan are not good enough to solve the problem, then we can always invite several world-renowned bone specialists from Eastcliff.”

Machi, who was overwhelmed by their concern, replied, “That would be amazing! I am really grateful to you, Mr. Schulz. Should I need help when the time comes, I will definitely let you know!”

As he was speaking, Machi sighed. “The Schulz family’s earnest attitude has really impressed me. Nevertheless, if the opportunity to work alongside the Schulz family were to be presented, the Takahashi family will definitely do our best and we will not let the Schulz family down!”

Jaime nodded gently, smiled and replied. “That’s great! Let’s get down to business and discuss the terms of our partnership.”

Machi’s face immediately turned cold as he began to speak. “Mr. Schulz, Ms. Schulz, before we begin, I would like to add another term to our partnership agreement.”

Sophie twitched his brow. “Mr. Takahashi, isn’t this a little inappropriate to add a term at the last minute?”

Machi spoke earnestly, “Ms. Schulz, this added term is not to raise the stakes for the Schulz family. This added term is actually requesting the Schulz family, if we were to cooperate, to help get rid of the Ito family once and for all!”
