CHAPTER XXIV:  He looked like a fish gasping for breath

“Hey.” *poke*

“Stop.”

*poke*

“Stop it.”

*poke*

“I said stop it!” I almost jumped out of my seat at his sudden outburst.

“I am bored.” I stated, slumping down on my seat and propping both my feet on the coffee table.

“So?” he sarcastically asked.

“Let’s play a game.” I suggested.

“No.” he deadpanned without even looking up from his laptop.

“Why?” I asked while looking at him as he typed furiously typing on his laptop.

“I am busy.” Seriously? He is still busy? When was the time that he is not?

“We are on board and you are still busy?” I whinned throwing my hand in the air and averted my gaze on him towards the couple who was busy flirting with each other.

The ex-girlfriend slash former secretary? I do not know where that bimbo went.

I stood up from my seat and went to the couple who were busy doing their own stuff and sit at the seat opposite them.

“Ahem!” I cleared my throat. They both stopped at what they were doing and turned to look at me, their faces wore a big smiles.

Aweeee. What a sweet couple.

“Hey, Audrey.” Isla greeted while Cassius just gave me a nod and a ‘sup’.

“Hey.” I greeted back and slumped on the seat and folded my arms, “Why is your brother such a d*ckhead?” I asked, making my voice louder enough for the man that was at the same room as us to hear us.

I turned to look at Sebastian who stopped typing on his laptop and was now throwing daggers at me. I rolled my eyes at him and flipped him the middle finger and averted my gaze back to the couple in front of me which was now laughing hysterically.

I shrugged my shoulders and decided to take a nap so I threw my shoes away and curried up on my sead. As I was about to close my eyes, I heard a slight movement and a heavy footstep coming my way. I looked up and there stood my ‘knight shining armor’ ready to kill me with his dagger eyes.

“How may I help you, sir?” I asked, turning on my sarcastic mode.

I watched him open his mouth just to close them. He looked like a stranded fish who were flapping desperately on the sand, gasping for breath.

I got up to seat not too properly and turned to look back at the man standing before me, “Ahm. Are you okay, sir? Do you want me to get you a water?” I asked, faking a concern look as I looked at him.

His face turned into a frown at what I had just said. “And why would I need a water, Ms. Mcfeller?”, he asked.

“Because you looked like the fish owned by someone I know.” I innocently stated.

I heard a snort and turned to look at Isla and Cassius fighting back their laugh. My face brightened at my joke and averted my gaze on them to look at the man before me whose red was now into its crimson red from anger.

“What the hell is wrong with you!?” his voice boomed throughout the whole place and I jumped out of my seat because of it.

“What!? Do not tell me that you took it seriously? Geez, you need to loosen up a little bit man!” I exclaimed, now feeling annoyed at his action.

He opened his mouth again and was about to say something when he closed it back up again and stormed off to his seat.

Told you he looked like a fish gasping for breath.

“Phew.” I breathed out. I did not realized that I was holding my breath until now.

You cannot blame me, even though I was a sass a while ago my boss still intimidated me.  

“That..” Cassius started his face was wide from surprise, “Aweeeesoooome!”

“Yeah, totally awesome!” Isla agreed, her face also showed a surprise expression. “I have never seen my brother that mad! Damn girl, we really would get along so fine!” she exclaimed.

“Tell me about it.” Cassius stated, releasing a deep breath.

I just laughed and shook my head. I was not expecting that to happened. I never thought that my boss was that so easy to annoy.

“Now, I am bored.” I stated, slumping back on my seat. I looked at Sebastian and he was back at typing furiously on his laptop, with a hard expression.

An idea popped into my devilish mind as always.

“Hey, do you know how to sing?” I asked Isla which resulted Cassius to groaned.

Isla smacked Cassius at the back of his head before turning her gaze to look at me and smile widely at me, “Well, I can sing.”

“Great!” I exclaimed and turned to look at Sebastian.

“Pst, Mr. Schulz” I called out.

No response.

Hmm. Okay then.

“Let us entertain you two!” I said louder enough for him to hear.

“And how will you entertain us?” Cassius asked raising his brow.

“I will sing you a song of your choice.” I said wiggling my brows.

“NO!” my head snapped back towards Sebastian who was now looking right at me.

It seem like my idea got his attention.

“Why?” Cassius asked.

“If you want to lose your hearing then you could surely listen to her beautiful and soothing voice!” He said looking at me. Sarcasm dripping in his tone.

“Uhm… her voice is not that bad, right? Well, I can undertand with Isla’s voice, but Audrey? I have never heard her sing. 

“Hey! My voice is not that bad too! You have hurted my feelings, babe.” Isla exclaimed.

“Yeah, whatever.  Come ono sing Chandelier by Sia.” Cassius said with amusement in his voice while Sebastian groaned and covered his ear by putting on his earphones.

“Yeheeey!” I bellowed as I stuck my tounge out at Sebastian and earned a glare from him.

“Okay, you ready?” I asked Isla and she just nodded her head. “You lead the song and we will sing together at the pre-chorus and chorus.” I said.

Isla just nodded her head once again and cleared her throat and began singing. I heard few grunt from Cassius when Isla started singing while I looked at Isla with an adoration in my eyes.

“Wooooo! Go girl!” I cheered her up and cleared my throat when its my turn next. Now, it was Sebastian’s turn to grunt but I just locked eyes with Isla with a smile in both our faces.

We ended our song and smiled at the gentlemen who was looking at us as if we had grown two heads.

“Cassius?” 

“Quinnel?”

I called out Cassius name and Isla called out his brother’s name and both men shook their heads. Cassius brought his hand to his ear and rubbed it and Sebastian took of his earphones and also rubbed his ear.

“Wow.” Cassius said, his eyes were sticking out of its sockets.

“Thank you!” I said sheepishly.

“Holyshit. You guys are one hell of a bad singer.” He said as he brust out into laughing. I pouted my lips at him while Isla smacked him at the back of his head.

“Told you.” I turned to look at Sebastian and I rolled my eyes and stuck my tounge out at him.

“Shut up!” Isla and I said in unison but Cassius kept laughing like a lunatic.

“Get me an Advil.” Sebastian said angrily at the flight attendant who happened to passed by while we were singing, her eyes are also wide and its as if like she just saw a ghost.

The flight attendant nodded her head and went to get the Advil. Minutes later, the flight attendant came back and handed Sebastian two pills. He took them and downed it all the while looking at me fiercely.

“Loser.” I muttered under my breath as I leaned back into my seat.
