"Get lost! This has nothing to do with you."

The old man pushed Verdell away in disgust and walked toward James.

James had both his hands behind him. He looked calm and relaxed, or it could be that he was in shock.

‘They’re really here to take James? That’s great!’

Verdell, Yvette, and Zack were all taking pleasure in what they assumed was James’ misfortune. They were not bothered as long as the Fuller family was not implicated.

At that moment, the Fuller family breathed a sigh of relief and was looking forward to the drama that was about to unfold.

"Walker, you’re here!"

James' bright eyes shone like the stars.

The old man, who James identified as Walker, trembled with excitement. He respectfully bowed to James. "You’ve had it rough for the past ten years."

Everyone on the scene was stunned. It seemed that the development of the situation was completely different from what they had imagined.

‘Isn’t James the Fuller family’s good-for-nothing son-in-law? Why is that old man from Dragon's Soul treating him so respectfully?’

Their minds were blank. The shock from what was happening was too much for them.

Verdell's face paled, and he had a horrified expression on his face.

Zack, who was cheating with Yvette, was starved for air as his face turned crimson red and his body started flailing about.

Those who had mocked and looked down on James quickly lowered their heads as they panicked internally.

Yvette touched her swollen face and tried to process her extremely complicated feelings.

She suddenly realized that she did not know James at all. For the first time in her life, she felt regret from the bottom of her heart.

At that moment, James glanced around with his clear and deep-set eyes.

Whoever met his sharp gaze immediately lowered their head and did not dare to look into his eyes. The air of arrogance from the crowd disappeared just like that.

"You have one month left. Today, I will only teach you a small lesson. Everyone from the Fuller family, including you, will be hospitalized for a few days."

James pointed at Zack, then waved his hand in a seemingly casual way.

A smoke that was invisible to the naked eyes appeared and automatically split into dozens of strands. Like dozens of poisonous dragons, they penetrated the skin of everyone from the Fuller family and Zack. None of them realized what was happening.

Those were a tiny dose of the soul purgative elixir made by James himself.

James had already turned and walked out of the hall. The old man followed closely behind him.

James' voice came from the courtyard outside.

"It’s nothing!"

They said that in unison, their mighty and majestic shouts shaking the sky.

"Are you not battle-dressed? Let’s share the plate for breast! Let’s share the coat and vest! Your job is mine. Are you not battle-dressed? Let’s share kilt and the rest! We shall go up the line. Let’s make our armor shine!"

James' singing sounded in the yard. This was Dragon's Soul's battle cry.

Hundreds of people gathered together, and their mighty and majestic singing gradually faded away in the night.

The solemn, sacred, and majestic aura stunned everyone.

It was not until a long time after the singing had disappeared that Verdell and the others came back to their senses completely.

The lively celebration from before had turned into complete silence. No one spoke.

Especially Yvette, whose face was pale and eyes were full of regret.

‘Could it be that James is really a member of Dragon's Soul? How can this be? It’s impossible!’

If he was indeed a member of Dragon's Soul, why did he marry into the Fuller family ten years ago?

Verdell narrowed the corner of his eyes and nodded. "Yes, I remember that many years ago, the eldest son of the Harrison family, the richest family in North City, insulted a member from Dragon's Soul. He lost his leg that night itself."

The Fuller family's relatives breathed a long sigh of relief.

"So, James is definitely not from Dragon's Soul!"

"It's fake. He must’ve hired extras to fool us! A few extras will cost only a few hundred dollars. He has been living for free in the Fuller's house for so many years. He must have some savings to pay for it.”

At that moment, the Fuller family seemed to have become Sherlock Holmes. They went on and on, holding onto the so-called ‘evidence’ to reveal the ‘truth’.

In the end, everyone came to a unanimous conclusion that James was definitely not a member of Dragon's Soul. They were convinced that everyone who had been outside previously, including the old man, was all extras.

All of them were invited by James so that he could gain some dignity before he left.

"Hmph, at the end of the day, he’s just an incompetent good-for-nothing. He thinks that the Fuller family will be scared by his tricks?"

Yvette snorted disdainfully. The smile on her face was regained as she put her regrets behind her and flirted with Zack again.

In a blink of an eye, the deserted hall became very lively again. Wine cups were passed freely, and the conversations continued.

Everyone had forgotten about James' warning. Verdell and Zack even discussed how they would get someone to teach James a lesson and have him hospitalized for a few weeks.

"Ouch! My stomach hurts!"

Verdell was the first to feel the sudden sharp pain in his abdomen.

"Me too!"

Yvette's face was pale. She clutched onto her stomach.

"Oh no, could it be food poisoning?!"

"Help me!"

In a blink of an eye, the lively celebration became the scene of endless moaning. Everyone from the Fuller family, along with Zack, fell to the ground. They clutched onto their stomachs and rolled around the floor while screaming for help.

The others were safe and sound. However, they were either dumbfounded and shocked or felt helpless.

Since they were all right, it was definitely not food poisoning.

‘Is it one of James’ tricks?’

Suddenly, they remembered that before he left, James said that the Fuller family and Zack would be admitted to the hospital for a few days.

Everyone took a deep breath and felt a chill going down their spines.

After James left the Fuller family house, it was already late at night.

There was no one in the Central Garden. A street lamp served as the only nearby light source.

Jordan Walker was the chief operating officer of Dragon's Soul. He used to serve the previous War God, Ari Fuller.

James smiled. "How are they doing?"

Of course, Walker knew exactly who James was asking about, so he quickly pulled out a satellite phone. He then dialed a number and handed the phone to James respectfully.

Soon, the other party picked up the call, and a coarse male voice said, "Chief, you’ve finally dumped that woman. That’s great! A lot of beautiful and rich ladies are waiting for you!"

When he heard this familiar voice, James immediately felt relieved and said with a smile, "Iron Fist, when was the last time I beat you up? Are you itching for a beating again?"
