Chapter 9: let's get married

Cole moved to stand beside her. His face possesed no sort of emotions and one would think he was unaffected by her minor sentence. He gripped her wrist and pulled her hand away from her ear, even though she was still holding her phone.
He took the phone from her and ended the call.
"And what do you think you're doing?" She glared at him.
"I think the real question should be, what do you think you're doing?" He asked her. He acted as if what he had done was absolutely normal. "Why would you cancel the wedding?" He wondered, handing the phone back to her.
"If you think I'm going to sit around and wait for a man…" She tried to argue.
"But you initially agreed to marrying me irrespective of my conditions," Cole argued.
"Yes, provided none of your hoes would be in my matrimonial home." She snapped at him, getting to her feet.
"This isn't your matrimonial home!" He gripped both her arms and shook her a little.
Karen thought about his words for a moment. He was right. She met his gaze and squinted her eyes a little. Was she willing to miss the chance to finally get married? She really didn't care if he had sex, she wasn't going to commit to the relationship anyway.
With a sigh, she shook herself free from his grip and turned to look at the girl in the room, "send her away."
"But-" Cole tried to say, surprised by her suggestion.
"I said, send her away." She repeated with confidence.
"Brittany, you heard her. Go through the back." Cole simply put, keeping his gaze on Karen and disregarding Brittany's presence.
"Excuse me, you promised me a new round." Brittany stood to her feet from the bed, shuffling the sheets into a tough manner in that attempt.
"I'll call you or something." Cole waved his hand behind him.
"Why? You're listening to this woman? You think I don't have the power to do shit?" Brittany challenged, clipping the blanket around her with her fingers and walking in their direction. "Trust that I'm easily a demon and I wont take things lightly with you. I'll go downstairs to where your parents are and explain my identity, dare me." She warned.
Cole turned to look at her with irritated eyes. Did she forget so soon she was paid for this and had no place in his life except to do what he asked of her? He wondered.
"Excuse me, you're paid for this and…" he tried to remind her but she was fast enough to cut him short.
"Yes, for three hours and we only spent two so far so good." She frowned.
Where did Donald get this bitches arranged for him anyway?
He sighed and strode across the huge room to a small closet. He brought it open and pulled out a black shirt. Digging into the breast pocket, he had a handful of cash in his hands and tossed it onto the bed aggressively. "There, there you go." He said, his eyebrows drawn together in harmony, wrinkles spread across his forehead, expressing his disgust and anger at her.
"Isn't that what you're here for? Take it, it's compensation for supposedly not giving you enough time." He said.
Karen's eyes went wide as the hot-mouthed girl went to the bed and arranged the money into neat piles. How could one easily be distracted by bribe?
Brittany dropped the blanket around her and went to the closet to arrange her clothing materials together. She got into her underwear and coupled it up with a lace dress that visibly showed her strapless bra and panties.
"Worth it." She shrugged and blinked at Karen before leaving the room. Karen wondered how Elizabeth could be so oblivious that a whore slept with her son under the same roof as her, and thought he was still a virgin.
When the room was empty of living souls except the two of them, she sat on the and watched his every step like he was a child that would leave her presence if she disconnected their gazes.
"How is your mother unaware that you're not an innocent man? She was curious to know.
"I'm an actor," he chuckled, "what did you expect?"
"An actor hmm?" She craned her neck to the left a little, leaning her weight on her elbow. "How popular are you? Have you featured in any major movie?"
"I have three million followers on social media so…" Cole told her.
Karen knew it was the kind of thing that would make Faith go crazy but she wasn't impressed. "Nice. I know celebrities who have over a hundred million followers." She boasted.
"Nice," he began with the same phrase she had used, "but you barely have twenty thousand." He mocked. She was surprised to know he had stalked her that well but she was also a great actor when it came to concealing emotions.
"Good to know you have nothing to do with your life. I'm not a celebrity so it's not supposed to be my thing." She shrugged.
"You're supposed to be my future bride, what do you expect? I have to know the sort of things my wife posts on her social media.
"So, is that saying you totally agree to this marriage?" She lifted one eyebrow at him.
"Maybe." He smirked, "it depends. Do you agree to this marriage?
"I have no problems, we could as well get this over with the fastest we can." She said, staring at her feet like they were all that mattered to her.
"Alright. Let's get married." He said, waiting for her response..
"Let's get married." She nodded in affirmation.
