Chapter 3

We’ve decided to reschedule our  plan for that day and move it to Saturday. I don’t want to be unfair to him. That’s my gift to him for helping me out that day. I really felt guilty on what he did, but it’s over now so, I think that I will just review next time so that it won’t happen again.

I’m not with Nicco right now because he will advance his studies. I’m pretty sure that he’s in the library on his usual spot. I can’t come with him before because I have something to do but I’m done with it so, I’m planning to surprise him. 

As I entered the library, I scanned the whole place and I see him getting a book from a shelf. I slowly walked towards him so that he wouldn’t notice me. Before I could reach him, I saw a girl who is now beside him, smiling widely from ear to ear.

Who is that? He's girlfriend? How come, he didn’t tell me about this? 

“Of course Pressy, he has his own life to live with and you’re not his obligation to tell Nicco to you every bit of what he’s doing.” I said to myself.

I waited as they took their seat before I could even approach them. They’re so close and laughing at the same time.

Excuse me? Are they flirting or what? This is library. Noise is not allowed here because you might disturb someone's business.

They looked so close. Hmmm, I can sense something.

“Oh Pressy, you’re here!” He shockingly said.

It looks like my presence caused them to stop laughing. Like, I’ve just ruined the whole mood.

“Seems having fun, eh?” I said.

I seat in front of them. The girl is seating beside Nicco.

“Yeah, well Trixie says something and it’s so funny. I can’t help but to laugh.” He said keeping his self from laughing but there’s still small laugh escapes from him.

“Oh, I see. Good then.” I said and force myself to smile. I think if I would see myself right now, I could say that it’s not a smile, more like a wince.

“Yeah and you know, after that he threw his-” I cut what she’s going to say. Her voice is getting louder so, I need to say something to make her quite or just make her realize something that isn’t right.

“Hush girl, we’re at the library. We don’t want someone to be mad at us or be kicked out here by the librarian.” I said.

She looked at me then to Nicco. Nicco just nod on what I said that’s why she just shut her mouth. They hold their laughter but sometimes they can help it especially when they look at each other.

Okay, I feel so stupid here. I can’t relate on what’s going on. Trixie girl whisper something on Nicco but I can still hear it.

“Let’s just continue it later, alright?” She said then she giggled when Nicco give her an 'okay' sign.

What’s really going on?

I try to get Nicco’s attention. I’m glad he notice me.

“Can we talk?” I asked.

“Sure Pressy.” He said. 

“I mean just the two of us in private.” I said. Just for him to understand briefly.

He talked to Trixie to let know that we’re going to talk for awhile. Trixie just nod at him.

C’mon! Why does he need her permission? Are they on a relationship now?

“What is it, Pressy?” He started to asked me when we got far away from our place earlier.

“Seems like you two are close, huh? Where did you meet each other?” I opened him.

“Oh that, yeah we just barely meet each other but we easily got close. You know, she’s fun to be with.” He said.

“Nice, so do you like her?” I asked him.

“Yes, I do.” He said. My heart aches on what he said. It’s just like there’s a pang on it.

“Oh…” I paused for a while. “Then is she your girlfriend now?” I asked again.

“What? No, Pressy. I mean I like her as a friend. That’s all.” He explained. 

I just nod at him. I feel so relieved on what he said.

What’s wrong with you, Prescilla Shane Trinidad? So what, if Nicco would have a girlfriend? It’s better that someone would take care of him. I can’t be with him all the time if I have boyfriend, especially if it is Lui.

“Good to know.” I said.

“Are you jealous?” He teases me.

“No way!” I blurted.

“Really huh? You seem so defensive.” He said while poking my cheeks.

“Can you stop that? I’m really not, okay?” I cleared to him.

“Okay, if you say so.” He said while smiling.

“So, it’s okay if I date her?” He asked me for permission. Why does he need to ask me that? That’s his life duh.

“Why are you asking me? I’m not her.” I said while rolling my eyes.

“I want to know what my best friend wants.” He said to me. My heart aches again a little bit. What’s wrong with my body?

“That’s your life Nicco, it’s not mine.” I said.

“I just want to hear your thoughts.” He said.

I just sighed. He looks so excited. Is that how eager he is to date that Trixie girl?

“Then date her.” I bursted.

His expression changed. From happy to being in a serious mode. What? I thought he want to date that girl?

“Are you really sure about that?” He asked me as if my answers are wrong. 

“What do you want me to say? No? Then if you don’t want to then don’t. I’m not forcing you and it’s your choice after all.” I explained. I’m starting to get annoyed to him. I can’t understand him.

“Just forget it.” He said the left me dumbfounded. What the hell Nicco! I can’t get you.

I just want to punch someone right now. I’m so stressed out, gosh!
