Chapter 2

Two days passed after our quiz with that professor and today she’ll announce it to us. I’m so excited and nervous at the same time. I hope she wouldn’t notice.

“Hey, calm down Pressy. It’s alright, you don’t need to worry about anything.” He said to me, trying to calm me down.

The professor suddenly walks inside our room making our classmates go back to their proper seat. 

“Okay, class I’ll just give you your paper with a score on it from our last quiz. Just come to me when I say your name. Got it?” She said. Our classmates just nod at her

Some people complain and some are excited. I looked at Nicco who is now smiling at me. I looked back at our professor again, waiting for her next move.

“Niccolaigh Alcantara.” She said then Nicco stand up and walk towards our professor. 

As I expected, Nicco got a higher score. My nervousness came back the moment I heard my professor say my name.

I immediately go to my professor and get my paper. 

“Good score, Pressy. I can’t believe that you could get a score like this. I’m not degrading you or something. It’s just that I’m surprised because I notice that you’re not really paying attention to my class most of the time. But you get good scores so, keep it up.” She said while handing it to me. 

I go back to my seat and look at my score. Oh my goodness! I passed. Well, I kinda know that I'm going to pass this test because Nicco answers it for me. I feel guilty about it but I appreciate Nicco's effort though.

I suddenly hugged Nicco. I was taken aback on what I did but when I was ready to pull out, he hugged me back. It's not new that I always hug him whenever I'm excited or elated. We're already used to it.

“Congrats, Pressy! I told you, you’d going to pass.” He said still hugging me.

“It’s all thanks to you, Nicco.” I said while giving him a smile.

“You’re welcome.” He said.

It’s a relief that our professor doesn’t caught us. I don’t want to ruin what he worked hard for. I know how he struggles just to get higher grades and to be on a dean list.

“Let’s get some food after today’s class. My treat, game?” I asked him.

“I won’t refuse that.” He said.

I started to pack my things as soon as our class ended. Nicco texted me that he'll wait for me at the parking lot. He brought his car, that was his father's gift to him when he turned 18.

I suddenly stopped when I hear someone is using the piano at the music room. I followed the sound until it brings me to Lui playing the piano.

Aww, my baby is so talented. Why so perfect, Lui? 

I stood beside the door so that I can see him secretly. I won't miss this chance to glimpse at him this close. I can't always see him like this because he has so many fan girls. I don't want to be beaten by them.

I start to panicked when he got up from the chair in front of the piano, ready to leave the room. I decided to get out of this place but before I leave, I already hear his voice asking who I am.

OMG! What to do?

I slowly turned around while covering my face using my hands. I was just like a child who got busted by her parents from stealing some coins on her parents' wallet just to buy candy. This is too embarrassing! I am sure that my face is red as an apple right now because of this stupid action that I did awhile ago.

"Are you some sort of stalker?" He asked while peeking at my face to see me. I do my best to cover my face even if it's hard. I hope he won't recognize me.

"I'm not a stalker." I said. I'm one of his fan girls but I'm not a stalker. Duh, I'm not that too crazy to do that.

"Can you remove your hands? So that I can see your face clearly." He said.

Even though I don't want to, I just did what he says. As I slowly uncover my face, I can see how shocked he was.

"Oh! err... What's your name again? Per-" I suddenly cut him off.

"Pressy!" I said. 

It's too sad that he can't remember my name but what can I do? I'm not that important to him nor his friend. I can't blame him because of that.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"I heard the music that coming from the piano when I'm passing by the corridor. So, I followed the sound and it brought me here." I explained.

"Oh I see..." He said.

We became silent for awhile. He just looking at me like his scanning the whole me. It's so awkward that's why I try to divert my attention.

We're surprised of Nicco's sudden appearance.

"Oh, there you are. I thought something happened to you." He said while panting. 

I was shocked when I remembered that I have a promise to Nicco that I would treat him. I almost forgot it. 

He came to me and hold my wrist. He gave Lui a death glare but I think it was just an illusion or something.

"Let's go, Pressy." He said with full of authority. 

What's with him?

Lui said something that makes me and Nicoo stopped.

"Goodbye and see you around, Pressy." He said while waving his hand.

I'm going to wave back but he hold me too firmly. His footsteps are going faster and I can't barely walk well. My wrist is starting to ache because of his tight grip.

"Wait Nicco." I said but it looks like he doesn't hear me.

"Nicco, I said wait!" I said again. I almost shout at him. He stopped and I bump into his back.

"Sorry." He said then he let go of my wrist. His hand tracing my skin is obvious.

"What's wrong with you? Are you in different world? I've been talking to you since earlier." I complained.

"Look, I'm sorry okay?" He said.

"Why did you just drag me out of that place? Lui and I we're talking and it was just rare chance you know." I said emphasizing the 'rare chance'.

"I'm calling you for several times and you're not picking up. I'm so damned worried, I thought something bad happened to you." He said changing the topic. I saw how worried he was. I felt so guilty.

"I'm sorry, Nico. I was just mesmerized, how Lui plays piano." I said to him while reminiscing the scene that happens awhile ago.

"You forgot that you'd going to treat me, Silly girl. Trying to avoid it, huh?" He said then he jumbled my hair.

I slightly tapped his arm.

"It took me for a long time to properly fix my hair and you're just going to destroy it?" I said while throwing him a death glares.

"What? Okay, let me fix it." He said. He combed my hair using his fingers. After few minutes he's already done with it.

"There you go. It's fixed now." He said happily.

"Nicco..." I called him.

"Hmmm?"

"I'm sorry that we didn't fulfill our plan today. But don't worry I'd make sure to make it up to you next time, I promised." I said while raising my right hand.

"It's okay as long as you're safe and alright then I'm fine with it." He said then he pat my head.

Suddenly, my heart skips a beat. Wait, what was that?
