RONAN'S POV:

Groaning and mentally cursing

at my wolf as I woke up for the fifth time as he couldn't stop whining and whimpering about something. I tried to get some more sleep but its no use.

With a frustrated groan, I sat up and reached for my phone to look at the

time,

'3:58?! Are you serious?!'

Great, I only slept for 3 hours. (Sighs) might as well go for a run. Swinging my legs over my bed, I stood and stretched and dragged my feet towards my bathroom and did my business.

After brushing my teeth and

splashing water in my face, I dried myself off and went back to my bedroom and then I changed into black short and white shirt. After tying the lace of my black Nike shoes.

I opened the door of my room and peeked my head out and looked left and right then carefully and quietly as I could, I closed it and tiptoed down the stairs.

While walking through the living room, a faint smell of blood invaded my senses.

With furrowed eyebrows, Ronan searched for the source of the smell only to end up in the living room and the blood from yesterday is now all dried and has stained the brown carpet.

'He still hasn't cleaned it? Maybe he was too tired. He better take care of it soon before Dad comes back.'

I walked a bit further and the stairs that led towards the basement came into my view. I stopped and contemplated whether  I should go and check on him? Wake him up and tell him to clean the carpet? Or let him rest seeing as what he went through yesterday came to me.

He stands up for himself to me and even my father but he can't fight them. Why? I don't know. He just let them beat him, after all, he is just one and there were four of them which is kind of unfair. But then again, his life hasn't been fair.

And when he saw me yesterday, the

look in his eyes, asking me for help and I almost did. Key word: almost. But I didn't, instead I just left and felt............

'Guilty?'

I quickly shook that thought out of my head.

'What the hell? Why am I thinking like this? Whatever, he's on his own if dad comes back and sees the blood. That omega deserved it.'

Taking one last glance at his door, I went outside and took off. At first, I jogged in a slow pace as a warm up then speeding up. I was already on fifth lap from running around our territory when I spotted a figure ahead of me wearing workout clothes.

'Huh, must be one of the pack members. But they're awfully early.'

But when I neared the figure, I recognized it was Seth. An idea came into my head as smiling mischievously, I went through the woods ahead of him and went to hide in a bunch of tall bushes between two big trees and crouched down waiting till he passes in my direction.

When he was right infront of me, I jumped out and latched on his back while biting his shirt taking him by surprise while he screamed.

I'm pretty sure some of the wolves doing patrol from the borders heard him. I got off his back hitting the ground clutching my stomach from laughing. He turned then he growled and lunged at me.

"Damn it Ronan!! What the hell?!! You scared the shit out of me!!"

He said while punching me in the stomach and trying to land a punch in my face but I was too busy laughing,

"Y-y-you scr-screamed like a gi-girl."

I said between my laughter.

"Damn man, Its still not funny. I thought you were a rogue, I could have done something, may even have killed you." 

"Really? I don't think so, you do know I've beaten your ass a lot of times when we were kids and up till now right?"

I said making him roll his eyes and glare at me in reply. I continued.

"Now mind getting off me? The position's a bit..."

He frown in confusion, then looked down before his eyes widened in realization. He jumped up and dusted himself off then extended a hand.

I took it and dusted myself off. He looked at me for a while.

"Have you been running for a

while now?"

"Yeah, already on my fifth lap, couldn't sleep cause of a certain furball."

I said muttering the end directing a glare at my wolf.

"Hey!" 

My wolf snapped

"What?! It is your fault"

He just grumbled in reply.

"Well, let's run together then."

He said. I nodded in reply and asked just as we started a pace.

"What about you? Just started?"

"Yup."

He replied making me frown a bit as he's usually a chatterbox when he's either with me or our friends even if its past 4 in the morning.

We spent the rest of the morning talking about random things while running.

During our talks, I noticed that he zoned out a lot. We were now walking back to the pack house to cool down.

"Hey man, you ok?"

I asked.

"H-huh? Uh, yeah. Why wouldn't I be?"

"Well, you zoned out a lot"

"What are you talking about?"

He asked while I gave him a deadpan look.

"Uhh... Well. I am thinking about something... Or....someone"

He mumbled the last part but thanks to being a werewolf, I heard it. I perked up interested.

"Ooh!  You like someone?! Who? Is she nice? What's her name? What does she look like?  When did you meet her? When can I meet her?"

I bombarded him with questions.

"Whoa, whoa there man. Calm down."

"I can't calm down! Now tell me!"

He rolled his eyes at my demanding tone.

"Yeah, a certain someone."

"C'mon man, you gotta give me more details"

He sighed giving me a side-glance.

"Its someone that we all already know. H-She! is a strong person"

"He?"

I asked narrowing my eyes.

"No! I said she!"

He corrected. I glared at him.

"Now you're just lying."

"All right, yeah its a 'He'"

"Ok. Tell me more about him"

He suddenly smiled.

"Well.... where to start? He's a very strong person. He doesn't let anything get to him. He always stood up when he's down. And when he does, he always comes back stronger.

I admire him for that and I continued to do so throughout the years. He stands up not only for himself but for others too. He takes care of the others as if they're his own children. He put the others needs before his.

But he isn't always happy. That's what makes me mad so I make him. I try to make him laugh or smile but when he does smile, its so bright and beautiful that when I did make him smile for the first time, I fell in love.

He's different.

There's this whole other side of him that we haven't seen because we are blinded by our own judgements. In doing so, it prevents the others from seeing what he truly is.

And believe me when I say, he's a truly wonderful person. I'm just disappointed about the way he is treated."

He said, at first his tone was happy when he described him but sad when it came to the end. My forehead creased as I thought about who it might be when a certain someone came in my mind. I stared ahead when I asked.

"Well what's his name?"

Looking at him in the corner of my eye, his eyes widened and he looked like he was contemplating whether he should tell me or not. Finally, he let out a defeated sigh,

"Zannicus"

He said immediately halting me in my steps. I turned to him, my teeth gritted in anger.

"Zannicus?! That rebellious filthy fag? Why?"

I asked. He stopped walking and turned to me with a glare so fierce, he might've just burnt a hole through me.

"Yes, Zannicus. And don't call him that."

He replied his hands billed into a fist.

"What? Filthy? Fag? Why wouldn't I? Its true isn't it?"

'Stop it!  Don't call him that!"

My wolf Logan suddenly yelled

'What the? Now you're talking?  And why the hell are you taking his side?'

He just growled in return. By the time I snapped back, Seth was already in my face yanking my shirt, as he snarled.

"I. Said. Don't. Call. Him. That. I had enough of all this, I had enough of you."

Harshly, he ripped his hands off me then pushed me back. Stumbling slightly, a shocked expression on my face as he started yelling.

"Zannicus is more than you think!! Look I never understood why you hated him so much in the first place and I probably never will, but don't go going around talking about people as if you know anything about them.

You don't know ANYTHING about Zannicus! So I suggest you stop talking about him that way especially if you're in front of me because I swear to the moon and back, Alpha or not......I will punch the hell out of you."

He said, my eyes widened even more at the threat.

"Just leave him alone!!!"

With that, Seth turned and marched towards the pack house leaving Ronan there stunned into silence.

I clenched my fists.

'I've never seen him like that. Damn that omega.'

My blood boiled in anger but I can't go to the house so I turned and ran back to the woods shifting in mid-air and landing perfectly onto the ground. I ran off trying to calm myself down but got angry once more when I remembered how he talked about him.

But thinking back, he always has been defending him. But why?  Sometimes I would catch him staring at Zannicus while he works or cooks.

I remembered the times I would catch him cleaning his wounds and sometimes going to his room. My mind drifted back to what Seth said.

'......when I did make him smile for the first time, I fell in love.'

My eyes widened,

'He.....he likes him? No. He....Fell...In Love?  With Zannicus?'

Unbeknownst to Ronan, his eyes glowed as he growled before he ran faster across the forest. His paws digging into the dirt as he swerved round trees and jumped over logs.

He felt frustrated.

Frustrated because of these foreign feelings. Frustrated because he doesn't even know why he was so worked up about this.
