Chapter 5

"Don't bother calling the police. The rumors you heard about me are all true," Alex's cold blue eyes pierced through Noah's heart.

"If I hear that you said anything to anyone, everyone you love will slowly disappear, one by one," he added.

Noah gulped and nodded. He had no intention of calling the police. It didn't take a genius to know that this man was not joking.

"Great. Then we shall start the wedding preparation. You may leave now," Alex said dismissively.

Jon escorted Noah out of the building. Noah released a sigh. He was finally out of the nightmare.

But wait...does this mean another nightmare will begin? Does he really have to marry Serena Wolf? Fuck...he didn't know how to get out of this mess.

He thought about Kelly. After that wild night with Serena, he left the hotel room quietly. Guilt washed over him as he remembered Kelly's face. She looked so sad and angry when Serena pulled him away from the club right in front of her eyes.

The next day, Kelly called him and asked him to meet up. Noah was surprised to hear from her as he thought she will be too mad. Besides, she already broke up with him. He met her at her apartment just as she asked.

Kelly asked him about Serena and he lied through his teeth. He told her nothing happened between him and the woman he met at the club. To his surprise, Kelly expressed how jealous she was and how she still loved him. She wanted him back. Noah liked being with Kelly as she had made him happy for the past two years so he agreed right away. He was happy they were back together and thought this was it. A new beginning of his life with Kelly.

Until now...

He should've never slept with Serena. It was an impulsive decision and now he has to suffer the consequences.

"Fucking bullshit!" Noah cried out in frustration and kicked an unsuspecting empty can that was lying on the road. He decided to go back to his apartment and cool off. It wasn't like he could continue to study anyway. His entire day was ruined.

He opened the door to his apartment and walked inside. Time to take a nice relaxing shower and take a nap.

"Hello, lover."

He almost had a heart attack when he heard the melodious voice of his nightmare.

"What the fuck?" he cried.

Serena was laying down on his couch wearing a skimpy bodycon dress, holding his cat Mr. Knickers on her lap. She smirked as she looked at Noah's shocked expression.

"Surprised?" she asked casually and stroked Mr. Knickers' back.

"What are you doing here?" he demanded to know. Why can't he escape this crazy family today?

"Can't I come to visit my fiance?" she laughed. Evil witch.

"You aren't my fiance. Your father may have forced me to say yes to this marriage but I will never accept you," Noah declared.

"Be careful what you say to me future hubby, or it might come back and bite you on the ass," she looked at him intensely with those strikingly green eyes.

How did you get inside my apartment? And how did you convince Mr. Knickers to sit on your lap?" he asked. Mr. Knickers was a feisty animal. He wouldn't let anyone touch him, not even Kelly.

"I have my ways. I belong to the Mafia, picking a lock is a child's play. I mean... I've done worse things," Serena giggled. "As for Mr. Knickers," she stroked his back. "It was love at first sight. He came to me. Goes to show that I am the perfect bride for you my love," she placed Mr. Knickers on the couch and got up, then slowly moved toward him. She pressed against him and slowly trailed her index finger on his chest.

"Stop fighting me. You won't find anyone better than me," she whispered.

Noah shivered. He had to admit she was the sexiest thing he had ever seen but that's not enough to swallow his pride and become her slave.

"I don't like you. I loath you, you psycho bitch," he hissed.

"Harsh. This is no way to treat your fiancee," she pouted.

"Ge...get out of my apartment!" he stammered.

"Not a chance. I've been waiting for you all day. I am not leaving until I get what I want," she said seductively and grabbed his ass firmly.

Noah felt his jeans tightened. Fuck...now is not the time to have a natural bodily reaction, he thought. There was no way he was still attracted to her, was he?

They were both startled as the doorbell rang. He wasn't expecting anyone around this time. Who could it be?

"Noah? Are you in there?" his heart thumped as he heard Kelly's voice.

OH FUCK, OH SHIT! he thought.

"Oh look, the ex is here," Serena said. Her eyes turned cold.

"Shit, you need to hide. I can't let Kelly see you," Noah said quickly.

"Why not? I am your fiancee. Don't tell me you are back together with that tramp," Serena laughed.

"Yes, I am. And I get you are fucking insane but could you please do me this one favor and hide? I really don't want Kelly to see you with me," Noah pleaded.

"Boo! You are no fun. This could've been a fun-filled dramatic confrontation. But since you are looking at me like a lost puppy, I will take pity on you," Serena said and kissed him on the check.

"Great, go inside my room and stay there. Thank you," Noah said and pushed her into the bedroom then slammed the door shut.

He prayed that she stays quiet. He took a deep breath and opened the front door.
