CHAPTER 10: THE KILLER'S MYSTERIOUS LABORATORY

The killer really makes Adam and Hannah tired, he didn't even stop for a minute. He's running after the two the whole day while Terrence and Dave are finding ways on how they'll save their friends from the zombies.

Huhhhuuuu! Haaaaahhh! Adam gasped! his sweat flows continuously. I am sooo-ooo thiiiiiiirrrrrrsty! I-iiiii wannnn-nnna stop running. I'm so tired.

Hannah holds his hand and said, don't stop running, we have to reach the perfect place for us to rest, come on! I am sure we'll find a way, she lends her arms to Adam to support him and run again...

They run while looking at their back caused them to stumbled. Uhhhhh! Shocks!

When they opened their eyes, they saw someone standing in front of them. That shoes? They looked at each other's eyes and seems like they understood each other without saying any words.

They get up their heads and yet they were wrong with what they have thought who's in front of them.

The man wearing leather shoes and a leather jacket with black shoes, and a cap. They also noticed his wearing a medical mask. The man took them with him and tell them to hide in an abandoned train first, the one near the abandoned train where they friends are.

The killer tried to run after them but the man who took them in an abandoned train stop him and call him "DAD!"

"Stop doing this to yourself!", he shouted to the killer.

You are not a killer you're a good father. So please! please! pleeeeeeaaaaasssseeee. Don't do this to yourself. I know you're still thinking that you lost everything but I am still here, you're son, he cried while begging his dad to stop killing other people who are innocent.

I lost my lab son! I lost it!, he said to the man.

Hannah and I were still wondering how they get on that point. The son of the killer is their savior. They continue listening to the two, to find out the answer to the questions in their minds.

However, Dave saw Hannah and Adam in the window. He's waving his hands and shout asking for help while the zombies are approaching near him.

The two saw their friends but they knew they are not still in a good condition. Hannah still holding her wounds in her left arm bleeding and a weak legs while Adam has wounds bleeding in his both hands, that really made them move slower than the usual.

They want to save their friends but they're weak and they were not enough to save their friends immediately unless they ask for the help of their savior.

Seeing their friends fighting for their lives, they were both motivated to get up. Hannah tears her dress and now looks like a cropped top revealing the part of her navel. Adam tears his shirt's both sleeves. He tied it to Hannah's arm bleeding. While Hannah tied the tore cloth tight to Adam's both hands to stop it bleeding.

On the other hand, the father and son are still talking to each other, a familiar face. The old man and his son.

But why? Why the old man is trying to kill us? Why his son is trying to save us?

The killer's son didn't able to convince his dad to stop killing innocent people that moment. His dad just walked away from him but he didn't promise to his son not to kill anybody.

When the killer left him alone, he went to the abandoned train where Hannah and Adam are.

Thank God you're fine here, he said but he felt how lonely they are while looking at the abandoned train in their front.

Yes! We are lucky because you saved us but look at our friends they are suffering with that of situation. The zombies attacked them and we can't do anything to stop them and save our friends. Who would have thought that they will experience this, said Adam.

One thing is for sure guys! They will not die if they were bitten by one of those, they will become zombies too but still they are alive. They can be cured and there are possibilities that they'll get back to normal, if and only if, we successfully found the cure for them and the zombies were not shut by anybody that will cause unrepairable damage. In short, if they were not shut using a gun.

Hannah asked him, "But how? Is there any way to find the cure as fast as we can?"

Yes! I know there is a cure. My dad is a scientist. Zombies started from him. That is when he tried to inject his invented cure which he thought a perfect formula to cure his disease. A skin disease that will make his life in danger during summer, the savior explained.

I remembered that story, I don't know who told me that, Adam said while tapping his chin.

Aha! I knew it. Adam it's the old man we saved from the zombies. He told us about when it started, Hannah answered.

Yes you're right Hannah! But why did he tried to kill us? Adam stared at Hannah.

Maybe that is because he lost his hope to find the perfect formula and no one will stay alive in the town if he didn't get. He was so pressured. He was cured without knowing how. He thought his invented cure was the right cure because he was cured by it, he replied.

What do you mean? Hannah asked.

I think my dad's skin disease was cured by his invented cure but he was get infected when he injected the cure in an inappropriate vein. So, his body experienced a lot of complications. Then, when he accidentally bites one person, that person got infected too and the virus spread out all over the town, he discussed.

Few hours, my dad's body get back to normal but the other one didn't, he added.

Right now in this moment, I am pretty sure that your friends were bitten by the zombies inside the train, he continued.

So, what are we going to do? Hannah asked him.

We have to find my Dad's laboratory. I think we should find the cure there, he replied.

Do you know how it looks like? Adam asked.

I didn't know, he replied sadly.

We can find the lab! Trust me boys, Hannah motivated the two and smiled at them.

They run and run and run until they saw the old man looking at a place and he was crying that moment.

The old man said, "My laboratory is now a shelter for the zombies. How can I get back there. My wife became one of them, and I really don't know where she is right now. Is she alive living as a zombie or she died because of people who wanted to save their lives from her, he sat down on the ground and punch his own face like a child begging not to bring back his bad luck, his unwanted experience in the past.
