Chapter 8

I walked into June's room and saw exactly why it was a private room, it was so much bigger than the other rooms, very very nice. 

I walked over to June's bed side and held my hand still smiling *funny right* it's not as though she's awake, so why am i smiling? I don't know myself. I gently stroked her hair

"JuJu it's Bre, I'm sorry I haven't been able to come here to see you till now, the doctor said I couldn't see you till today but just so you know. I kept my promise and i was waiting outside all through your surgery, the doctor says the surgery was successful and all that's needed is for you to wake up, so Ju please wake up. I want to hear your voice and also see you smile and i know that you want to see me too so i will be here patiently waiting for you"

I kissed her forehead and took a sit on the chair beside her bed

*would Mr obnoxious allow June to stay in his home as well, well he would he knows she is your sister and would obviously go wherever you go too, my subconscious reminded me and i nodded absentmindedly 

"Why are you nodding Bre?" I heard June say and I facepalmed myself, way to go Aubrey

"Bre" i heard again and looked over at June's bed, she was actually awake. I scrambled up from my sit, rushing over to her bed-stand

"June you're awake, how are you feeling, what sort of my question am i asking, I should call a doctor " i rambled and tried to leave her room

"Bre" she called out to me and I paused "are you feeling pain anywhere, oh goodness what if the surgery was not successful" I started to pace around. " I should call a doctor "

"Aubrey" she says and i look at her

"I am fine Bre, just weak and I don't feel pain anywhere but you can call the doctor " she says and i nod, i walked out of her room and knocked on the doctor's office

"Doctor, she's awake" i tell him and he smiles

"Alright, let me see her" we walk out of his office together and went into June's room

"Hello June, how are you feeling " The Doctor asked her

"I feel weak but apart from that, i think i am fine" she replied and i smile "thank Goodness" i muttered and the Doctor looks at me "Aubrey, you would have to go out i need to examine her" he says and i nod, i walked out of the room and paced around at the hallway *June is finally awake*

The doctor comes out of the room and looks at me "She's fine, we still need to keep her here for about 3 days just to observe her before she can be discharged, it takes time well at least 3 weeks for the healing process, so I wouldn't advise any solid food for now till then" he says and i nod at him, still smiling

He walks away and i went back into her room

"Juju" i whisper and she smiles at me

"Bre, thank you very much " she says and i furrow my eyebrows "what are you thanking me for Ju?" She smiles and holds my hand

"You still think i am a baby, but i am 7years old Bre and i know it wasn't easy for you too.."

I placed my finger on her lips "everything is fine Ju, you don't need to say anything alright, I'm glad you are okay and that's all that matters" i smiled and kissed her forehead.

"I love you very much Bre" she says and smiles at me "i love you too sweetie" i say

"I have to go soon, but I'll be back tomorrow " i tell her and she nods "when you are coming, can you please get me a doughnut " she asks and i smile

"Yes sweetie, i will ask the doctor if you can have it"

I walk out of the room and went to the Doctor's office "sorry doc, she's asking fir doughnuts, can i give it to her?" I asked him

"No, you can't but maybe a few laters " he says and i nod 

I walked out of his office and went back to June's room "sweetie, you are not allowed to have doughnuts till a few days later" i say and she pouts

"The doctor doesn't like me" i laughed at her silliness 

"The doctor likes you sweetie that's why he wants you to get better uh" i tell her and she nods

"I'm feeling sleepy Bre, I'll talk to you later" she says drowsily and i kissed her forehead 

"Good night sweetie" 

I walked out of the hospital with a huge smile on my face and went home, i had my bath and i laid on my bed and slept off.

The next day i woke up with a huge smile on my face, I'm sure you all know why, i looked at the time and it was 7-57 i knew Mr obnoxious would be here soon, so I brought out a faded blue top i have had over the years and a black skirt, tied my hair into a ponytail. I was ready to get pregnant.

My phone started to ring and i saw that it was Mr white so I picked it " come outside " he says * no good morning or how are you* just straight to the point, i wore my sandals and took my phone, i locked my door and got into the car

"Good morning " i greeted him and he nodded again, i used my seatbelt and he starts driving, we got to the same hospital and walked in, going into the same office but this time he knocked

"Good morning Doctor white " she greets him and smiles at me "good morning miss" i smiled back at her and greeted her too

Mr obnoxious nods at her " can we please start with the process" he asks and she nods, looking at me she gestures for me to follow her and i did. She did a couple of test and started with the Embryo transfer, mr white sperm had been take 

"You will need to rest for some few days after this and stay away from caffeine" she tells me and i nod

*its not like i have money for coffee*

I stand up and we went back to the office, i sat down beside him and the doctor sits at our front

"The transfer has been done,but you also need to remember that it might not be successful on the first attempt but for now you need to stay away from caffeine and stress, take a lot of water and again stay away from stress, you can come back when you confirm if you're pregnant or not" she says and i nod

"Thank you Doctor "he says and stands up, i stood up too and walked out of the hospital 

"You're moving into my house today, i will have someone pick you up and your things" he tells me

"My sister, when she is discharged from the hospital can she stay?" I asked him meekly 

"She will be staying with you, i will have her room ready for her when she's discharged " he says and i nod

"Thank you"
