“So how does it feel to feed again?” Penny asked over a mouthful of steak.

“Surely at your age I don’t need to remind you not to talk with your mouth full?” Thea teased her.

Penny responded by sticking her tongue out to show her half-chewed steak.

“Leeuf ma age awt oof it” Penny gargled back.

Thea rolled her eyes.

“To answer your question, I feel good, exhilarated really. Plus, I’m not feeling the usual guilt that comes with feeding,” Thea said as she shovelled a spoonful of risotto into her mouth.

Penny took a sip of her lemonade as she mulled her words over.

“Thea, you never should have felt guilt. It our job, it’s what we’re here to do, you wouldn’t condemn a lion for hunting a gazelle, its our nature and what happened with Lucius, it wasn’t your fault.”

Thea’s heart wrenched at the mention of Lucius.

“Penny, please don’t go there. He never should have met that fate,” Thea dropped her fork.

“Thea, I’m sorry, I just… It’s been like 200 years almost, what happened was a terrible, terrible accident. We didn’t know his birthday; you couldn’t have known he had come of age. Please Thea, you have to stop blaming yourself.”

Thea’s green eyes twinkled with tears, Penny reached her hand out and grabbed Thea’s, giving her a gentle squeeze.

“If I hadn’t killed his father, he wouldn’t have ended up in my care and he would have lived,” a tear escaped Thea’s eye.

“No,” Penny shook her head, “When you found the boy, he was malnourished and dehydrated, his father was struggling to feed him, he would have died of starvation, you gave him a longer life that he was supposed to have.”

Thea gave Penny a weak smile, “That doesn’t make the hurt any less…”

A sad silence followed; Penny continued to eat her steak whilst Thea just pushed her risotto around the plate.

“Are you almost finished? We can grab a quick drink before your shift?” Penny look a long drink of her lemonade.

Thea nodded, “Yea, I’m done. I’ll get the bill.”

Thea raised her hand to wave for the bill when she noticed Bellamy approaching the café with a young girl.

Bellamy saw Thea and Penny and strutted over to them.

He looked far too enticing in his distressed jeans with a simple white t-shirt and a leather jacket. Despite the loose fit, you could clearly tell his body had been practically designed by the Gods.

His damp curls fell in disarray around his face, his blue eyes shone against his sun kissed skin.

Every head turned as he waltzed past; Thea felt a sharp pang of jealousy as she saw the eyes following his steps.

She knew damn well that those vultures were mentally undressing him, her green eyes twinkled with danger. “He’s mine,” she growled the thought.

“Well talk of the Devil,” Bellamy announced as he arrived at their table. “Lissa, this is Thea, the girl I was telling you about-“

“Woman,” Penny corrected him with an arched brow.

Bellamy rolled his eyes, “the woman I was telling you about and this is Penny, her pet- I mean, her sister,” he smirked at Penny as her eyes hazel eyes burned with anger.

“They don’t look like sisters?” Lissa arched an eyebrow.

Thea laughed, it was true.

Though they had always called considered each other as sisters, Thea, Penny and Aggie were nothing alike.

Thea was short and curvaceous with sun kissed skin, dirty blonde hair and green eyes.

Penny was tall with impossibly long legs, she had beautiful dark, bronze skin, hazel eyes and a wild array of raven curls and Aggie too was quite tall but curvy with fiery red hair, milky white skin and baby blue eyes.

They were each designed to be the perfect specimen of a woman, even without their sirens call, any many would struggle to not find them irresistible.

“We are sisters by circumstance, not by blood,” Penny smiled at Lissa.

“Well, Bellamy is my brother by blood, unfortunately,” Lissa rolled her eyes eliciting a chuckle from Penny.

“You were talking about me?” Thea cocked her head to the side and arched a curious eyebrow at Bellamy.

“Yes.” Bellamy was unphased by being called out.

Thea frowned, “And what exactly were you saying?”

His cockiness pissed her off.

Bellamy grinned and raised a finger to tap his nose. Thea narrowed her eyes at him.

She could sense that was the only man in the café, Thea decided to take a risk and she began to quietly hum her song.

Bellamy’s eyes glazed over, “I was telling Lissa that I met the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen and even though its barely been a day, I think I’m already falling for you.”

Penny burst into a fit of laughter, Lissa tried to hold back a giggle as Bellamy shook his head and frowned at them.

“Lissa, why don’t you go a get us a table,” Bellamy urged her towards the front of house desk.

Lissa rolled her eyes as she dragged her feet along the floor.

Once her back was turned, Bellamy bent down to catch Thea’s lips in a kiss.

“You know, you don’t have to use your abilities to get the truth from me,” he frowned slightly.

Thea rolled her eyes at him, “Are you coming over tonight?”

Bellamy raised his eyebrows at Thea, “Someone is eager.”

“Please, you’re just convenient for me that’s all,” Thea scoffed though she could feel her face redden.

“How so?” Bellamy mused.

“I can very easily find myself another toy to play with but, it’s expensive to dispose of a body and I hate the smell of death,” Thea studied Bellamy’s face for a reaction.

“I thought old people were rich?” He grinned at her.

Penny shot Thea a bemused smirk from across the table.

Thea narrowed her eyes at Bellamy in warning, “Yes, I am old. I have forgotten more ways to pleasure and punish than you will ever know in any of your lifetimes. You would do well to remember that.”

Bellamy’s cock twitched to life at her warning, he wanted to be punished, he wanted to be punished by her so badly.

“El- Eleven, I’ll come over at 11.” Bellamy gulped.

“Why don’t you go with her Thea to work and you can come home together? Saves getting David to walk to you home again,” Penny suggested.

“I can’t, I promised I’d take Lissa for dinner,” Bellamy looked genuinely disappointed.

“I can feed myself,” Lissa announced as she returned to the table.

“No, you cannot, it’s already late, you’re not being out in the quarter by yourself,” Bellamy frowned.

“I’ll feed her and take her home, you two love birds go,” Penny urged them.

“No, Lissa is my responsibility.” Bellamy’s voice hardened.

“Hey, if she’s with me, she literally couldn’t be safer besides, if Thea is going to be keeping you around, I’ll need information to use against you and I have a feeling that little Lissa over here has plenty,” Penny’s eyes shone with menace.

Bellamy hesitated.

“Please Bellamy, I’ll be fine, I promise, I’ll text when I get home,” Lissa pleaded.

Bellamy pinched the bridge of his nose. “Fine but, you text me every 30 minutes to let me know you’re safe and I want a call, not a text when you get home. And we’re going for breakfast in the morning, if I find out you’ve been talking shit about me, I’ll bind your powers for a month.”

Lissa crossed her arms and pouted, “Ugh, fine, whatever. You’re such a kill joy!”

Bellamy pulled out his wallet to give Lissa some cash, he quickly kissed the top of her head, “You be good and you,” he locked eyes with Penny. Penny braced herself for a snarky comment.

“Look after her, please. Call me if you need anything, I mean anything.” His blue eyes bored into Penny.

She was stunned silent for a moment, “Yea, yea, of- of course. Uhm, have fun I guess.”

Bellamy extended an arm to Thea, she hooked her arm through his and the pair left but, not before hearing Penny try to bribe Lissa for blackmail material on Bellamy.

“Lissa is safe with Penny, right?” Bellamy’s face was marred with a frown.

Thea smiled at him, “She will, quite literally, kill anyone who even offends Lissa. It’s sweet that you’re so worried about her though.”

Bellamy sighed, “How could I not be, she’s my baby sister, since dad died, I’ve practically been raising her. She means everything to me.”

Thea’s heart ached, she knew that love, the love for your child.

She gave Bellamy’s arm a gentle squeeze.

They walked in a comfortable silence.

This was strange to Thea, she hadn’t known such simple, intimate contact like this in… well ever.

Bellamy noticed her frown, “What’s the matter?”

Thea looked up at him, “What? Oh, it’s nothing… Just, this is nice.”

“What? Holding my arm?” Bellamy gave her an amused look.

“Well, yes. I’ve never done this with anyone before, I’ve never been able to just innocently touch someone.” Thea chewed on her lip and tried to concentrate on the street lights, anything to avoid meeting Bellamy’s gaze.

“Damn, I never realised what your gift would mean for you, so you’ve never had a boyfriend?”

Thea scoffed, “I wouldn’t exactly call it a gift but no. I’ve been called many things in my time but, girlfriend is not one of them.”

“Well, hopefully I’ll be the one to change that,” Bellamy gave her one of his signature crooked smiles.

Thea’s heart fluttered. “Now look who’s eager.”

Releasing the tip from her mouth, she placed a gentle kiss on it before looking back up at Bellamy. “Should I continue?” She asked him, a seductive smile playing around her swollen lips.Bellamy gulped before nodding his head.

Bringing her knees up to her chest, Thea pulled the blanket tighter around her shoulders as a cool breeze blew through the open patio doors. Sipping her glass of chateauneuf du pape, a small smile spread across her face as she looked up at her sisters, listening to their animated conversation. “I can’t believe you killed the designer!” Penny threw a hand up in disbelief.Aggie choked on her bourbon as a smile played around on her lips.“He was the designers apprentice but, it’s not my fault! He said he was gay so, I assumed there wouldn’t be any danger in him fitting my dress.”

“Oh, that… That’s Bellamy, Thea’s boyfriend,” Penny teased.“Uh- Not my boyfriend!” Thea snapped back. “Soooo, what is he then? And why isn’t he affected by us?” Aggie stretched her neck around to see Bellamy stood still, frozen on the spot with his mouth hanging open.“Well, not totally affected,” Aggie chewed her bottom lip as she looked back at Thea and Penny. A heavy silence lingered in the room after Lissa and Alex left. Bellamy ran a clammy palm over his face and dropped down onto the couch with a sigh. Thea tiptoed over to where he sat and curled up next to him, she leant against his shoulder and peppered light kisses along his neck.“She’ll be safe Bellamy, you’ve done right by her,” Thea gently turned Bellamy’s head to face her. Bellamy’s eyes glistened with unshed tears as he looked at Thea, her heart twisted and a lump formed in her th

Tension was thick in the air as Thea helped Bellamy strap Lissa down onto Penny’s bed.“Is this really necessary?” Penny pleaded. “Removing my branding would be like trying to saw off my arm, we can’t bind my magic until after the brand is gone so, it’s the only way to keep you all safe and stop me from running.” Lissa tried to shrug but, the movement was limited to little more than a twitch due to the bindings around her hands. A shudder rippled through Penny, “This whole th

Bellamy chewed on his finger nails as he paced up and down the living room of Thea and Penny’s apartment.“Are you sure we can trust this Alex person?” “Yes, we can trust Alex… Bellamy, we would never put Lissa in harms way,” Thea tried to reassure Bellamy.“So, what, is she a siren as well? How will she even be able to protect Lissa?” Bellamy cracked his knuckles. “No, she’s not a Siren
