Stalking the Prey
Kataya MoonThe elderly man had been watching her ever since she ran away. Having experimented on himself years prior to taking her from the hospital he knew just what her life would have turned into had he left her there alone. He had used clairvoyance to monitor once she was reunited with her parents. Every time she succeeded in MMA, he smiled. When she was asked out on a date, he reached into the mind of the person giving them threats that he made good on if they hurt her. He was obsessed with her safety and her wellbeing. When her loving parents talked about selling her off to another brothel when she was a teen, he took over the madam’s mind and discouraged them. Once she turned eighteen and went off to college, he sent them a mental message letting them both know to drop off the face of the Earth. He helped them get on the next ship to the moon. Once they were out of sight, he began to place people in her life that would drop bits of information whenever he needed to casually check on her. He no longer had the time to be the doting father he tried to be to her in his own way. Professor Jay had other children he tried rear in the hopes that they would meet his expectations just as Akaisha did.
The day she went into the hospital he felt the spike in her hormones. The same spike she had when she started displaying the mental capacity for powers. He knew she wouldn’t find him but he had planted the seed of doubt at their reunion. Professor Jay tried to reach into Akaisha’s mind to speak with her. Again, it ended in failure. Somehow, she had a mental block. Her mind had erected a mental force field against him. He wanted to invade Blue's mind but decided against it. He chose to have Dave contact her instead. Professor Jay knew that Dave had a small crush on her, but he wouldn’t allow this rejected specimen to go forward in a relationship with HIS Akaisha. Akaisha was his first genetically altered child. Her brain capacity was bigger. Her body was solid, thicker than the average person due to her bones being dense, always regenerating itself. She was and always has been a beautiful flower in his eyes. Her beautiful gray orbs were windows into the souls. Dave would never be suitable for her. He went as far as removing all romantic feelings about her in his mind and replaced them with feelings of friendship. Dave was also one of his children but unfortunately his body never took to the serum. Dave was the disappointment. His extreme disappointment. Thinking about how Dave failed everything he was presented burned his brain. Professor Jay had to calm down before he could reach Dave. Going into someone’s mind while being angry could cause the person's brain to melt. Although at this moment melting Dave's brain seemed like a plus, instead he calmed himself down. Once he felt the heat within his body cool, that was when he telepathically reached out to Dave. Professor Jay closed his eyes. ‘Akaisha was in the hospital. You should check on her.’ Dave ruminated on the thought that passed through his mind. ‘It would be good to check on her.’ With that repeating flame in his mind he decided to give her a call.
Professor Jay made sure to use clairvoyance to see of she was out of the shower. Just as he was about to give Dave the thought to wait, he already heard the holographic video call going through. “You son of a bitch! She’s in the bath.” Just as he was about to melt Dave’s brain, he heard the soft lull of Akaisha’s voice. Instantly the heat cooled when he heard her voice. He listened in in on there conversation.
“I’m sorry to call you when you’re in the bath. I just had to check on you.”
“Well it is a bit of a surprise that you called but I have the privacy block up so you’ll only see my head.”
“I could never disrespect you in that manner.” A faint blush could be seen peppering his cheeks.
“I’m alright Dave. Thanks for asking. I need to get Blue something to eat and go to bed.”
“I’m just glad you’re safe. We can go check on Miss Mahima tomorrow.”
“Sure, but they said she’s in a coma right now. It’ll be alright to go then. Considering she won’t be asking for astronomically impossible demands.”
“I'll pick you up at 9 am. Then we can head to the studio together.” He didn’t want to impose on her any further and ended the call. Professor Jay felt relieved. He also planned on being at the hospital. He wanted to be close to his best girl without fighting with her. He needed to get her to see he was trying to protect her, arm her with the best possible life she could ever have. People may see him as a villainous mad scientist but he was in fact a visionary. Arming children who came from shitty parents with a means to protect themselves and garner a better life was not villainous it was revolutionary. Parents would be forced to treat their children better. If wanting everyone to grow up into loved and fully functioning adults was villainous then he would support the claims.

It wasn’t hard to understand what he was saying but to actually meet a designer baby born in the GMW, genetically modified womb, made her feel as if she wasn’t alone. Even if it wasn’t truly the same, for a small moment, she felt a kinship with him. “I see. So did they also try to give you talents too? I’ve heard that’s how some super beings were formed.”“No, my parents, they wanted me to be as normal as possible without the stress of having to deal wit

Seeing her own death certificate made her tear up. Her voice was a little hoarse when she spoke. “Yeah. That is me. Ah, my parents weren’t home that night our house caught fire. Akaisha was still checking out places when she felt it had been long enough for the Sergeant to have gotten some information. She had just gotten to the last listing when it seemed it was perfect, perfectly run down. The outside was dreary. There was a hole in top of the roof. The windows were bashed out and boarded up. She looked at it and smiled. This was perfect. There would be no reasons for the council to veto any remodeling plans. Pulling up the listing she contacted the realtor. Within minutes Akaisha had paid the amount for the listing. The paperwork was sent to the mailbox for signing. After putting her seal and information on it she requested her personal
