We're Engaged

VALENTINA RODRIGUEZ POV

He grabs my right wrist stopping me. I look back and open my mouth. But, end up closing it when the woman he kissed before began to walk in our direction.

Pecking his lips when she reached us making me look at her with disgust.

I tugged on my wrist and look straight into his eyes. Daring him to say-do-something.

And I saw his eyes which speaks louder than anything.

Guilt.

I tugged again but harder this time.

Mia noticed this and furrowed her eyebrows before smiling at me. Sickly sweet.

“Hon, who is this? Stop playing with the women’s heart. It’ll break their heart to know that we’re engaged, ” she calmly said.

What the hell?! They’re engaged?! Engaged?!

I gritted my teeth harder and it began to hurt. I narrow my eyes at Kayden before shouting.

" Let me-fucking-go!!” I shouted over the music with ferocity gaining attention from the crowd. Great. Just great.

“No, Vale. Let me explain-” I cut him off with a hard slap. A series of gasps and whisper arise within the crowd.

I use my left hand and slapped him. Hard. Just like how I slapped my victim.

He stumbles as his head snapped to the side as I stumble along when he refuses to let go of my hand. When he regains his position back, he turns his head to look at me with his eyes wide awake. Surprising him for not knowing where did I gain such strength.

I am not one for violence when I am outside of my dark job. He knows that I am a sweet and soft woman. But, he never knows who I really am and he missed the chance to know the other me when he decided to cheat on me.

The music stopped as everyone turned their attention towards us. Mia is standing a few feet away from us not daring to intervene.

Kayden and my eyes locked together as we glare on each other. Our eyes speak for our action. He gripped my wrist tightly. His face twist in anger. But, It does nothing to me.

My hearts ache more than anything. How dare he met my family when he was already engaged with someone else?!

Fucking liar!

“Hon-” Mia must have been expecting the show to end right there and take a step towards us.

Stupid woman!

He shrugged her off and walk away from the crowd. Dragging me with him.

I was furious as I try to yank my wrist from his strong grip. He doesn’t want to let go. I’m sure a bruised will appear soon.

We step outside of Remy’s house and he keeps dragging me until we come to a halt beside his car. The music started booming once more. He unlocks the car and opens the passenger seat in front.

“Get in!!” he tries pushing me in but I shut the passenger door back.

“Hell no!!” I turn to him with anger lacing my voice.

He gritted his teeth as he pinned me to his car. He gripped my face with one hand. While the other gripped both of my hands on his chest.

He leans in and forcefully kiss me as I struggle to push him away.

Realizing that my legs are free, I kick his groin using my knee. He immediately back away crouching down on the road as he groans in pain.

I bit my lips until it started to bleed as I hiss in pain. Using the blood to wipe away his kiss, I spit the blood on the road as I look at him with disgust. How dare he kiss me when he already kissed another woman’s lips just a few hours before?

I tried to control my breathing terrified that I almost see red. I want to hurt him, injure him, and kill him. I shake my head as I think about Mia. He loves her, got engaged with her and yet he leaves her when he saw me.

“We’re over. Don’t come near me anymore!!”

I walk away from him. Striding towards my car and saw Nancy walks to me with concern.

Sober now, do we?

I shake my head as a sign that I don’t want to talk about it.

“Come on, ”

I walk past her and march to my car.

I unlock the car and slid on the driver seat. Nancy walks to the passenger seat and slide in.

The ride is silent before she finally speaks.

“What happens to your Mustang?”

I gulped the lump in my throat. I think I’ll buy my own. Should I get rid of it?

“Remind me to get rid of it, ” I calmly spoke.

I can see her eyes widen in shock.

“Who’s car is this? Did you steal it? Oh my God,” She asked again while covering her mouth and I stifled a laugh.

“Mine,”

“What?!”

“Problems? ” I raise an eyebrow.

“Damn, how did you get such money? ”

She is totally freaking out at this. Though, I don’t see the reason why.

“I work to make money, babe, ” I chuckle.

I came to a halt when we reach her two-story mansion. I use to hang out with her on my day off so I know where her mansion is. I turn towards her when she didn’t open the car door.

“Yes, Nans?”

Wait, let me pray first. She might want to give a lecture to me.

“Are you okay?” she asked looking at me.

“Babe, did I even cry?” I chuckle when she sighs.

“That’s what scares me the most. Just, remember that I want you to be my maid of honour on my wedding day. You had to live until that, okay? Screw it, you had to babysit my children also. You know what I mean, right?”

I laugh and nodded my head.

“Sure, ”

She opens the door and got out of my car.

“Nans,” I called her when she is about to close the car door.

“Yeah?” She turns around.

“Who else knows about him cheating?”

“I just saw them today. I’m not sure about the others, ” she said.

I nodded feeling relieved.

“Goodnight, Vale, ”

“Goodnight, Nans, ”

She closes the door and I drive back to my mansion.

Not wasting any more time, I put my phone and bag on my bedside table. I lay on the bed, grab the sheet and sleep.

Don’t judge me, I’m too tired to argue.
