Lazy Ass

VALENTINA RODRIGUEZ POV

We all laugh hard after Keith storm out to his bedroom. After a few minutes, our laugh finally dropped. The guys went to their room, and I went to mine. I decide to shower before sleeping.

I woke up the next day when my phone rang. The screen on my phone states 4:35 a.m.

“It’s freaking 4 in the morning, woman! ” I grumbled at Nancy after picking up her call.

“Jeez, calm down, lazy ass, ” She scoffed, annoyed at me.

“Shut it! What do you want? ” I asked.

“Woman, how did you build that freaking castle of yours? I envy you so much! ” She shouted, making me perk up.

“Nancy, shut up! I asked you for a favour. Keep this a secret, okay?” I whisper yelled at her.

“Okay, fine. How about a sleepover there for the next Friday night? ”

“Don’t know yet. I might have a work to do, ” I stated.

“Oh, shut it! If he doesn’t let you go, tell him you’ll never cuddle with him anymore, ”

I blush at this. Did she know?

“Fine, but I can’t confirm it yet, though,”

“Yes, you will!” she says enthusiastically.

“We’ll see,”

I got up and ended the call.

I walk to the bathroom and do my business. After that, I change into a white crop top and black pants. I put my brunette wavy hair into a bun and wear my black boot. I walk out to the basement and train for one hour. After that, I go back to my room and shower.

Then, I grab a grey jumper and short black pants. I walk out of my room towards the kitchen and start cooking.

I finish cooking, and the guys haven’t walked out yet. Being a lazy ass, I am, I screamed.

Guess what?

They all run towards the staircase with their gun, and the guard runs into the house. They run wildly, searching for what makes me scream. I just stood in the centre of the house. I was grinning from ear to ear with my hands on my back.

After a few minutes of them running here and there, they walk towards me with sweat covering their shirtless body.

“Good morning, guys! Do you have a good sleep? ” I mock them.

“Shit! Vale, what do you think you’re doing?! ” Keith glared at me.

“Umm... Waking you guys up? ” I smile innocently at them.

They all groan before murmuring something like,

“I almost shoot him and... ”

“Damn it! One more inch and I’ll hold my rewards... ”

“Urgh! I was a few meters before I reach the finals line... ”

“I almost saw her face... ”

“I almost kiss Nancy... ”

My eyes grow wide when I heard this as we watch Caleb rubbing his temple. He looks up at the sudden silence and looks at us in confusion before his face goes red.

“Wow... Man, that’s new, ” Jake teased him.

“Shut up! ” he cried out in embarrassment before storming upstairs but not before turning back to us and said in a whisper-yelled tone.

“Don’t tell her! ”

We burst out laughing before they go back upstairs, and I walk back into the kitchen to arrange the breakfast on the table in the dining room. Yeah, table. Not countertop anymore. I just felt like I want to use the dining room today.

I took out my phone and saw a text from mom.

‘Sweetie, where are you? I’ve been waiting for a visit from you and Kayden,’

I swallow back the lump in my throat. I know what she means by the visit. She wanted to know about our marriage date. I close my eyes as I lean back on the chair.

“Boo!”

I jump, startle. Jake grin sheepishly as he takes a seat beside me. I rolled my eyes at him.

“Hey, Jake, ”

“Yeah? ”

He turns to me, raising an eyebrow.

“Do you mind going out with me for a while after this? ”

“Sure,“ he shrugged.

I did a little victory dance on my mind.

“Where are you going? ”

Keith suddenly appeared on the door, followed by the others.
