Mel

I whistled a tune as I leaned against the wall going through the notes, our class timings are extended which means the semester exams are nearing.

“Hey, Mel.” I lifted my head to see Samuel walking towards me with his notes. My eyes checked him out, he is hitting the gym hard or daily. 

“Hey, Sammy boy!” I hugged him as he stood beside me. Samuel and I met on the college campus. We both are med students but he is my junior class wise.

“Wassup?”

“I need your help Mel and I will do everything if you help me understand this topic.”

“I’m free after my third break. I will meet you in the library.”

“By the way Mel, we are having a house party tomorrow. I will forward the location and timings.”

“Okay, any seniors?”

“Yeah, but most of them are from business and engineering block.” He said while looking at other block’s students.

“It sucks right, that our stream’s peeps don’t have time to attend those parties.” I said, actually it’s true. Most of the med students spend their evenings and nights in their hostel rooms going through the lessons.

“True, hardly twenty med students attend the parties.”

"Hmm, where were you all these days? I haven't seen you at house parties or in the canteen." I close my notes looking at him.

"Bad break up, decided to go home for some time. It helped and here I'm." Samuel was in a relationship with a girl from art block. 

"What went wrong?" I asked, from what I know Samuel is a good boyfriend. He is one of those commitment type guys.

"My classes and gap. You know how our timings extended and I was busy with my classes, practicals and exams. We barely had time to talk, I believed she would understand but guess what she didn't and decided to break up."

"Sucks!"

"Chill, don't wanna talk about breakups. So you will tutor me after your classes end?"

"Yup!"

"I will be there on time." He said putting on his lab coat. I smiled at him, Samuel is of my height with a few inches taller than me. Good looking with fair skin and sand blonde hair.

“Will meet you after break man, have to attend class now.” I said putting on my laboratory coat.

“Okay.” I walked towards my class as I have my Antepartum Hemorrhage class. I made so many friends here and they are good. I don't have any problem on my campus.

I sat beside Lucy as she looked like she is about to fall asleep. Lucy and Mavies stay in campus dorms while I stay with my parents and save money to buy my own apartment after my graduation.

"I will take notes from you, I don't think I will copy the notes today." Lucy spoke with her one eye open.

"What you did last night?" I asked as I opened my notes.

"Oh, I got laid last night."

"Uh-huh. Who?"

"Someone from junior section."

"Was it good?"

"It was okay as I had to adjust if I want to get laid." She said giving me that naughty smile.

"Does it really matters? it's just a dick." Sherlyn said who sat beside me. Sherlyn is one of my friends from class. She is goodie shoes of our stream... The cute girl who hasn't done the deed.

"It's a dick but the size of it really matters babe, you will know when you get laid." I said pinching her cheeks. I don't have any filter when it comes to my friends and we are med students so sex and all are very common.

"So when you are trying sex?" Lucy asked Sherlyn. I laughed loudly as they both started fighting. Lucy loves to have protected sex often, she is very bold and does what she wants. People often thought she is from commerce field. When they learn that she is from the medical stream their eyes widen dramatically.

"Silence." We stopped laughing as the professor started his projector. My thoughts drifted to Seb, I bite my lip as I don't want to cry in front of everyone.

From last one month, things started changing dramatically, I literally don't have any idea of whats going on in Seb's mind. After meeting Harris I feel this bad vibes every day. I tried to talk with Seb but he is busy with meetings and work.

Not many know about Seb and there isn't any news about him online other than about his travelling and now I'm frantic to know about his past love stories. The classes went on and the break ended. I lazily went to the library. My hair is up in a bun and dark circles evident. I stopped at the canteen to buy a snack and smoothies.

I got two sandwiches and two smoothies for me and Samuel. He was already waiting for me and I waved my hand when I saw a few students whom I know.

"I'm so tired man, I just want to sleep all day." I said placing the food in front of him.

"Thanks Mel." Removing my coat and putting my bag on the table I looked at his notes and textbook.

The next one hour I explained to him with the topic and shared ppt's which I prepared when I was in junior year. We even made a few sketches of human structure.

"Thak you so much Mel!" Samuel hugged me as I packed my bag.

"Samuel I need a help man."

"Sure, I will help you."

"It's actually about Sebastian Jolie, I need to know about his past relations or anything from his college life."

"Sebastian? the one you are dating?" Samuel is one of my close friends. He knew about Seb because he had a crush on me in the beginning. I told him I'm dating a guy called Seb.

"Yup."

"Did something happen?" He asked now turning his posture. I nodded my head.

"Growing distance and I feel like he is hiding something. I mean I met his best friend whom I don't even know existed. And that guy doesn't know I existed... Things went downhill and Seb is busy with his routine life."

"I will tell you when we meet tomorrow."

"Bye and go safe." I smiled at him before towards the parking lot. I will just take a nap after going home. Being hyperthymesia means I remember every moment which happened in my life. I can't stop my self from recollecting all the moments between me and Seb.

The distance which is building between me and Seb scares me, I don't want anything coming in between him and I. My mind is playing a dangerous game with me inserting all the ideas of what if's.

Over imagination plays a dangerous role when things change in a relationship. I can't stop myself from over imagining. I parked my car in the garage and walked inside to see my mum watching friends show.

"Hello, mom."

"Hey, aren't you going to eat?" She asked as I climbed the steps.

"Nope, I ate a sandwich before." Throwing my bag on the chair I plopped down on my bed and looked at the pictures of I and Seb which are on my wall. I pulled my phone out and called him.

Switch off...

"Don't cry...Don't cry..." I chanted as I removed my sweater and pants.

I ended up crying as I remembered everything, the first time he winked at me, the time when we went to a restaurant, the time when he kissed me and when I lost my virginity to him which was recently in the summer.

He always told me that I'm super weird and very different from the people with whom he usually spends time or works with. That's the thing which attracted him in the first place.

I went on dates before I met Seb but I never developed feelings on those boys like I developed my feelings on Seb.

I sipped my fruit punch as I waited for Samuel, the whole place is filled with college students. The music is blasting but I don't care. This time the house is pretty big, I wore a satin camisole and high waisted jeans.
