The Shrapnel inside the Princess' heart

Do you hear it, Andromeda?

The bombs that kept exploding and your friend's and family's voice wailing deeply in sorrow.

With every explosion that happens, their tails got ripped off, their soul would start vanishing into thin air as they uttered the word, "Escape, Andromeda"

The moments you shared together, those laughs, each meal you had together can no longer happen again because of the selfishness of other people.

Why must we suffer?

Why should my people be drowned in agony?

That day, the sea looks palely blue, it should've stayed that way, but with a sound that resembled a thunderstrike, the blue seawater turned bloody red.

The screams echoed loudly and clearly...

Revenge...yes, the sole reason why she's here, in the land.

Do you remember, Andromeda?

How you take care of that one angelfish you loved, you gave her a name, Sammy...and she was pregnant, ready to give birth to a thousand more of her kin...she was pregnant, yet, they caught her to become one of their meals.

It's funny how they can painstakingly get anything they want, their greed amuses me.

Teach them a lesson that will be forever embarked in their hearts full of holes.

The day when the Ocean was filled with blood and tears of your clan. When no one would've guessed that you're already crying, no one sees it nor can trace it underwater, but you know it yourself, you were dying inside, yet with your tears, you filled the ocean with golden pearls.

All those sea animals you tried to heal, all those wounds you kept putting medicine to, went down the drain because you see, they killed them fully without any mercy.

What more do they want?

You gave them seas that they turned into the land to build those various gigantic buildings.

You kept your mouth shut each time they take some of your beloved, and you didn't let your rage get past you.

How much more, would you love the creatures that shattered you?

They were like shrapnel in your heart, it digs in deeper, wanting for more blood yet you keep giving love.

Remember the travesty of their actions.

They are wicked, and you, you shouldn't love what is wicked.

"Father, humans are amazing~ mom said she tasted one of their foods before, it was delicious!" the young Andromeda spoke, her eyes filled with happiness and excitement, would she be able to taste one of their food too?

Will she meet one of the humans in her lifetime?

Her turquoise eyes glistened with joy, it brightened up and even her father can't help but smile.

"You'll get there one day, young lady" her King father smiled while patting her head, he indeed gave birth to a lovable child.

But...you get it don't you, Andromeda?

Humans are vile, they are cruel.

When your mom became sick, it's because the food they gave has poison in it.

When your father became unable to swim, it was due to the bombing...

You get it, don't you?

You were living in the sea, yet you drowned still.

As a child, you were fond of the way they speak, the way they talk, you gave them the things you owned, even those that are precious to you.

If anyone has the power to get revenge they long for, it's you who can do it...after all, you're a great observer.

Dearest Andromeda, let your shine blind every human species...

"Why must you go?" it was her best friend, Cassiopea who asked...

"Didn't I tell you? It's payback time,"

"But you love them, you adored them, Andromeda! You should let me be the one who will exchange tails for feet, I will avenge you" her mermaid friend insisted, her hands gripping at her chest.

Andromeda's hand started trembling with anger and sadness, emotions that she didn't have before. She took a deep breath and continued to clench her fist, with all the calmness she gathered, she replied...

"Look here, I of most mermans, understand what you are feeling Cassiopea,  your beloved died after all. We lost many of our people, but please, let me be the one to handle it"

"That heartless beings killed my betrothed! We were enjoying the view that night, the moon is in its full form...yet...they killed him...in front of my very eyes, I saw blood spurted out of his body that used to serve as my warmth... Why kill our loved ones?...your family, my soon to be family...our friends!" her words are full of resentment, it echoed throughout Andromeda's heart.

Swimming swiftly beside Casiopea, the Princess of the vast sea of Sutra Kingdom gave a tight hug to her friend while whispering...

"Trust me, I'll put them down, all of them. The love that I gave them earnestly was dead the time they dropped the cause of death of our people...from now on, there will no more bountiful catch, the divers will go home, without a pearl or any valuables and the greatest revenge is for me, the Princess of the Sutra Kingdom, to become one of their kind, reach the pinnacle of their strength then crush them with it."

"I reassure you, they will bow down their knees while I destroy their lives the same way they did to us." she ended.

"B-but Andromeda, don't taint your hands" Cassiopea stopped sobbing upon hearing what the Princess said.

"I won't, don't worry, my hands are too precious to be filled with their dirty blood, I have other plans if ever the elders succeeded in changing my form"

There is no room for fragileness in this world, the aftermath of the bombing they caused are still resonating throughout the sea. Millions of corals were damaged, and even 15 years later, the chemicals still linger.

"Who said you can't kill a person internally?" she smirked but deep down her heart, it was loneliness that topped everything.

'Why must it have come to this point?' she thought while digging her long nails into her skin, drips of gold flowed around.

This was back then when she can bleed freely without any curse.
