Chapter 5 Brought a Lady Home

When Ginny finally woke up, she could sense a faint, but familiar aroma surrounding her. As she opened her eyes, she saw a simple, elegant chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

She relaxed against the soft caress beneath her and sat up. She realized that she was on a huge bed, covered by a soft, comfortable, dark-grey blanket.

She was in a bedroom that was decorated in muted tones.

It was a simple but large bedroom. It was easy to see that this belonged to a rich family, even wealthier than them, the Youngs.

Suddenly, as it dawned on her that she was on unfamiliar grounds, she started to feel a little frightened. Uneasiness and loneliness also slowly crept up on her.

As she thought about what happened last night, she clenched onto her blanket tightly. She started to sniffle, and her eyes reddened. Tears swam at the brim of her eyes.

"Are you awake?" A voice suddenly rang out at the door. Ginny hastily wiped away her tears and saw a lady wearing a white dress, standing by the doorway. Though she had a pale face, she was beautiful.

When she saw that Ginny had woken up, she greeted her with a smile. She stepped forward, touched Ginny's forehead, and said, "Oh good, your fever is gone."

The lady spoke with a smile on her face. Her gentleness was angelic, and it brought great comfort to Ginny.

"Do you have any discomfort?" the lady asked tenderly, as she looked at Ginny with earnest, concerned eyes.

Like an amazing attracting force, Ginny's eyes were glued to her and she shook her head lightly.

She was no longer feeling any discomfort.

Lowering her head, Ginny noticed that she was wearing white pajamas. It was made of high-quality material and was very comfortable.

"It's mine, but I have not worn it. You also don't have to worry. It was me who changed you. Please wait here for a minute, I will go and get Master." The lady had guessed what was on Ginny's mind. As soon as she cleared Ginny's doubts, she stepped out.

"Master?" Ginny sat there, bewildered. "Was the master she mentioned the man who had shielded in front of me that day?"

While Ginny was in a daze, someone walked in. She only recovered her senses when the person had walked right next to her bed. Caught off guard, her panicked eyes clashed with the man's gaze as she raised her head.

Juan Lipp was instantly stunned but managed to recover quickly. He frowned lightly. The moment his eyes met with Ginny's crystal clear eyes, his heart stirred.

She looked like a frightened rabbit when she panicked. It had been a long time since he had seen such a clear display of emotions in anyone's eyes, yet these could be plainly seen in her eyes.

Moreover, this pair of eyes had evoked his long-forgotten memories.

"That little girl who had double ponytails, hugged on to her doll, and stared at her doll in tears."

Those everlasting memories of innocence and purity.

"Thanks... Thank you..." Ginny stuttered.

She was equally astounded. She had not seen such a handsome man before. "No, not true, I have." The images of her father, uncle, and little uncle when she was a young girl were all good-looking. Although she could not clearly recall their features, she felt that they should be comparable to this man in front of her.

That was why when Ginny saw this man, she had a good impression of him and was grateful.

If not for his sudden appearance, she would have been the laughing stock of the Young family.

When Ginny recollected the incident that night, she felt like hell. Now, she was in heaven.

Clenching the blanket tighter, Ginny bit on her lips. Her eyes suddenly reddened. "Why? Why did it happen? Why did Rowena have to do that?"

Her life had been destroyed.

"Who was that man last night?"

Juan noticed her despair and his eyes narrowed. Without another word, he turned and left the room.

As he stepped out of the room, the lady quickly ran forward.

"Master, Old Madam is here."

Juan frowned. "Why is she here?"

Though puzzled, Juan did not hesitate for a moment. He strode downstairs quickly.

When he reached the living room, he saw a silver-haired old lady sitting on the sofa. She was energetic and alert, and her face was glowing with a benevolent smile.

She looked like a kind old lady.

However, Juan knew that this old lady of theirs was not only kind but also a child at heart. Juan was also most afraid of her nagging.

"Granny, you have not been feeling well. Why are you here?" Juan asked respectfully.

"Oh, I'm all right now. Juan, I heard that you brought a lady back last night?" Granny grinned. She could finally heave a sigh of relief as her precious grandson had brought a woman home at last. This quashed all the rumors of his sexual orientation.
