Chapter 8 I’ll Take Care Of You Sooner Or Later

“Good girl, hurry up and change your clothes. Make yourself pretty. Philip is waiting for you downstairs,” Susan urged Ramona.

Ramona felt extremely frustrated as she knew exactly what Philip was trying to do.

Looking out the window, she saw Philip Kingsley standing elegantly in front of his BMW with a bouquet of fresh flowers in his hands and his face raised towards her window.

“Mom, I’m a married woman. Is it appropriate for me to go out on dates with other men?” Ramona said.

“Are you and Tyler even considered man and wife? Stop lying to your mother. You’ve never allowed him to touch you, right?” Susan pursed her lips and asked Ramona.

Ramona lowered her head.

“Mona, you’re still young and have a long road ahead of you. I don’t want to see you ruined by Tyler. Your life is as good as finished with that good-for-nothing!”

“Mom, don’t say anymore. I’ve accepted my fate.”

“I’m still going to say this. Philip’s family is loaded. Yesterday, he bought me a bracelet and told the gold shop to send me a diamond necklace. He’s so generous! Besides, isn’t it all thanks to Philip that your boss has also stopped harassing you? Just accompany him for a meal and see if you can get along well…” Susan persuaded.

“Mom, just return all the jewelry to him. It’s impossible between us,” said Ramona seriously.

“Are you trying to make me angry!” Susan got agitated and suddenly clutched her chest, about to fall over.

“Mom!” Ramona was flustered and rushed forward to support Susan.

Rosalyn heard the commotion from her room and also ran out to support Susan with Ramona.

“If you’re not obedient, Mom will end up in the hospital…” Susan said weakly.

Ramona was caught in a dilemma and had no choice but to agree. She was afraid that Susan would be ill from anger.

“Mom, please calm down. I’ll go downstairs at once.”

“Go on then.” Susan massaged her chest.

“Rosie, take care of Mom,” instructed Ramona before heading out.

Susan smiled in satisfaction as soon as Ramona stepped out of the house.

“Haha, great. The first step is successful.” Susan stood up straight and was beaming with joy.

“Mom, are you alright?” Rosalyn was stunned. After such a commotion, she was just pretending to be ill?

“I’m fine, it’s all an act for your sister.” Susan was extremely proud of herself.

“Mom, isn’t it too much? My brother-in-law is useless, but you can’t do this either,” said Rosalyn.

“What’s wrong with it? Hmph, your sister is young and beautiful. Why shouldn’t she look for a rich one instead? Just looking at that useless Tyler makes me mad!” Susan huffed in fury before heading back to her room.

Tyler returned ten minutes later.

He had no idea that Ramona had been forced to go on a date with Philip.

As he stepped into the living room, he saw Rosalyn on the sofa scrolling through TikTok videos.

Rosalyn stared at Tyler for a while when she saw he was home before saying, “Ty, there’s something green on your forehead.”

“What?” Tyler was taken aback and quickly looked into the mirror.

“Stop looking at yourself and find my sister quickly, or else you’ll be cuckolded,” snorted Rosalyn disdainfully.

Though she looked down on Tyler, she had been living with him for the past three or four years after all.

Besides, Rosalyn did not have good impressions of a rich second-generation like Philip.

In comparison, Rosalyn would rather take Tyler’s side than to accept Philip.

Therefore, she decided to help Tyler.

“Where did your sister go?” Tyler vaguely felt that something was amiss.

“She was picked up by Philip in his car. I called and asked her just now and she’s at Starplanet Restaurant,” replied Rosalyn.

“Thank you.” Tyler quickly headed out after expressing his thanks.

As a man, he could never accept his wife going on a date with another man.

It was a sure sign of being cuckolded.

When he got downstairs, Tyler quickly got into the car and headed for Starplanet Restaurant.

This very high-class restaurant was located in a prosperous area of the city where the ordinary working-class could never afford it.

Tyler parked his old BYD at the restaurant’s entrance and hurried in.

The restaurant was divided into two floors. The ground floor was the main dining hall and a few couples were dining here now. Each table had a dedicated waiter serving them.

Tyler looked around but could not find any sign of Ramona.

“Sir, are you here for a meal?” A man with spectacles approached Tyler at this moment.

His words were courteous, but his tone was cold and unfriendly.

The bespectacled man was the supervisor of Starplanet Restaurant. He saw Tyler driving a BYD earlier, so he did not think Tyler could afford to be here.

The minimum consumption here was more than a thousand bucks. How could someone driving a BYD afford it?

The bespectacled man silently mocked.

“I’m looking for someone. Are there any guests on the second floor?” Tyler asked anxiously.

His expression immediately became stern when the bespectacled man heard that.

“The second floor has been reserved by Young Master Kingsley. He’s dining with his female companion. I don’t think the person you’re looking for is here. You should leave now.” The bespectacled man waved his hands at Tyler as if he was chasing a beggar.

Tyler was not in the mood to argue with the bespectacled man. Tyler rushed upstairs worried that Ramona might be in trouble.

“Hey, hey. What’s wrong with you?” The bespectacled man quickly grabbed hold of Tyler.

“Get lost, I’m looking for Young Master Kingsley!” Tyler shouted.

“Why don’t you take a good look at yourself? How would Young Master Kingsley know someone like you?” The bespectacled man pursed his lips and scrutinized Tyler’s attire from top to bottom.

Tyler could not be bothered, pushed him aside, and walked upstairs.

“Security! Hurry, grab hold of him!” The bespectacled man was furious and beckoned to the restaurant’s guards.

Three guards rushed up and grabbed hold of Tyler with two of them grabbing his arms and another one by his clothes.

The bespectacled man glared with his triangular eyes while his finger pointed at Tyler’s nose before saying, “Damn it, is this a place where you can come and go as you please? Can you afford to disturb Young Master Kingsley having his meal?”

Tyler hated when someone pointed at him, but was caught in an awkward situation as he was unable to move his arm.

“Oh, found your way here, did you?” Philip walked downstairs with his hands in his pockets at this moment when he heard the commotion outside.

Philip was elated at the sight of Tyler being blocked by the guards.

It was the perfect opportunity for Ramona to see the pathetic sight of her useless husband, haha!

Ramona also walked down at this time and as she was forced to go out for dinner with Philip, every minute felt like torture to her.

However, she did not have any choice as Susan was already ill because of this…

She was surprised that Tyler found his way here.

She was just about to ask the guards to let go of Tyler when the bespectacled man spoke.

“Young Master Kingsley, this person said he was looking for you. May I ask if you know him?”

Philip sneered at that, “Of course, but he’s here to cause me trouble. Please kick him out.”

The bespectacled man instructed those three guards upon hearing that, “Throw this fellow out. Find a secluded place and take good care of him!”

Ramona was rattled. They were going to beat Tyler up!

“Philip Kingsley, you’re too much!” Ramona said anxiously.

Philip smiled, “Mona, I only asked them to kick him out so that he doesn’t disturb us.

How is that too much?”

After saying that, Philip walked up to Tyler and quietly mocked, “Trash, you can’t beat me.”

“Philip Kingsley, I’ll take care of you sooner or later. Mark my words,” said Tyler.

He had taken this grudge into account.

“Haha, what a joke. Let me tell you a secret. This guy who’s being supported by his wife said he’s going to take care of me. Don’t you think that’s hilarious?” Philip laughed happily as he turned towards the bespectacled man and those three guards.

“Haha…”

“He’s nothing but a leech, hehe.”

“Okay, that's enough. Drag him out and teach him a lesson already. Let him know what it’s like to offend Young Master Kingsley,” instructed the bespectacled man sternly towards those guards. He was certainly trying his best to get into Philip’s good books.

“Philip, hurry up and tell them to release him!” Ramona was flabbergasted.

“It’s okay, Mona. He won’t die. Let’s get back to our meal,” Philip grinned as he pulled Ramona’s arm and headed upstairs again.

Tyler could not take it anymore upon seeing Philip tugging Ramona’s arm.

A man’s explosive power was amazing under duress. He broke free of those three guards’ restraint and rushed up to Philip.

Bang!

Philip landed on the ground with just one kick.

He fell flat on his face.

Philip saw that it was Tyler who kicked him when he turned around. He got furious and shouted at the bespectacled man, “Bash him up!”

“Sure, Young Master Kingsley!” The bespectacled man rolled up his sleeves and rushed up to Tyler.

However, before he could swing his fists, the bespectacled man’s collar was grabbed from behind.

When the bespectacled man turned his head around, the person behind him had swung his arms and two tight slaps landed on his chubby face!

Pah, pah!

The two slaps were so hard that his spectacles had been knocked away.

The whole restaurant became quiet as soon as this man appeared.

Those three guards currently stood in an orderly fashion at one side, not even daring to breathe loudly.

Tyler was startled when he saw that man.

It was him?
