At City Eastland Cafe...

“Why did you want to see me?” Summer said coldly. She held her belly as she sat across Victoria.

“Wow, your stomach has grown so much,” Victoria said sarcastically while she had sunglasses propped on her nose.

“Why are you wearing sunglasses when it’s cloudy outside? Are you pretending to be blind?” Summer’s ability to mock people was pretty good. She was no longer the little fool with amnesia.

“Summer, how long will you be able to remain arrogant?” Victoria chuckled as she took off her sunglasses.

Her face was bruised. Even though she tried to cover up the corner of her eyes with a thick layer of foundation, it was still pretty obvious that she had been beaten.

“Hah, you and Rupert are made for each other. What a perfect match,” Summer said sarcastically. She gave Victoria a wary look.

Victoria glared at Summer angrily as she clenched her fists tightly. “I’m impressed that you dared come over by yourself. I thought you had no other talents beside complaining to Jasper.”

Summer ignored Victoria. She only stared at her warily.

“These are our childhood photos. I brought them to you.” Victoria pushed a photo album towards Summer. “Jasper and I grew up together. You will never understand Jasper as I do. You knew how in love Jasper was with me. Do you think a man would fall out of love in such a short time?”

“Why are you being so shameless? There is no one in the world who will not experience a poor lapse in judgement in their lives. My heart ached for Jasper when he went through it. How could you still have such a sore lack of judgement in your mind?” Summer thought about the art of speaking Ben taught her. He said that when she scolded a person, she should not include any swearing. She should scold a person with elegance and culture.

Victoria’s finger became numb for a moment. She clenched her fists. “Summer, do you think that I’m scared of you? You think you’re so great just because you’re the daughter of the Plath family? Look through these photos carefully, and you might understand why one day, Jasper might fall back in love with me once he opens his eyes again.”

“No, thank you. He was never in love with you.” Summer nodded after looking at the photos. “He was such a handsome boy even when he was young. So, there’s nothing wrong with his genes. I can now give birth to the baby at ease.”

“You!” Victoria almost fainted due to anger because of Summer. She pushed down her anger and sat down once again. “You should know Lydia. Besides me, she was the first girlfriend that Jasper announced to the public.”

“Oh,” Summer replied calmly.

“What?” Victoria was flustered. ‘What’s with Summer’s reaction?’

Behind them, Ben hid under the table with a recording pen while he stifled his giggles. He looked at the time. He texted Summer to remind her not to waste any more time.

“I won't believe anything you say, Victoria. You took part in kidnapping me in Country M and tried to harm me by using Julia. You've killed so many people. Don't think I'll let you off easily.” Summer looked at her phone, recalled how she was to speak, and looked at Victoria fiercely.

Victoria was shocked by Summer's gaze. She felt strangely alarmed. “It doesn’t matter even if you know, and it doesn’t matter even if you remember. The Plath family is in a mess. Your father is missing, and Jasper is no longer in the game. I'd like to see who can protect you now and how you’ll keep being so arrogant.”

“Victoria, do you think you have a shield now that you have a relationship with the Trump family? If you continuously do bad things, you’ll end up being doomed. I’d advise you to be kinder.” Summer took the pictures as she sneered. “I’m taking these pictures with me. After all, these are pictures of my husband when he was young.”

Summer moved her finger to deliberately make Victoria upset.

“Summer!” Victoria glared at Summer in a dumbfound manner and stood up abruptly. “Summer, you won’t be able to remain arrogant for much longer. You should know that meeting Jasper when you were kidnapped was part of the plan too. Everything has been planned since a long time ago! Why are you being so arrogant? You’re just a piece in the game.”

Victoria was really angry now. She began to speak recklessly.

Summer was stunned. The photos in her hand fell to the floor slowly.
