Chapter 353 Asia’s King of Jealousy

It was at dawn the next morning. The plane had landed and they arrived at the South City. Yandel came over and knocked on their door but there was no reply.

Yandel could only ask the air stewardess to open the door. Once the door was open, he saw the two girls hugging each other.

The air stewardess probably thought they looked a bit lesbian, she could not help but to laugh, “These two ladies are surely very close to each other.”

Yandel sensed something wrong. His face darkened as he frowned.

Yale came over and ran into the scene as well. He was suddenly reminded of a trending news related to gay relationships that he read recently. Suddenly, coldness washed over him. After all, he was a pure, straight man.

Verian and Xylean still stuck close to each other even after getting off the plane. They walked arms in arms ahead of Yandel and Yale, completely ignoring their presence.

Yale touched his nose and glanced at the two ladies walking in front of him. Then, he asked Yandel in a low voice, “Second young master, do you think…Ms. Xylean and Ms. Verian…did they…”

Yale put his thumbs together, trying to imply something.

Yandel’s frown deepened, “Since you’re so imaginative, why not you resign to become a novel author?”

Yale scratched the back of his head. He wanted to slap himself in the face.

They reached the car and naturally, Yale was the driver. Xylean pulled Verian and immediately, they entered the backseat. That meant that Yandel had to sit in the passenger seat.

However, Yandel opened the door on Verian’s side. Then, he spoke in a gentle voice, “Rainie, I have something to tell Leanie. Can you take the passenger seat?”

Of course, Verian did not want to become their light bulb. Sensibly, she moved to the passenger seat in front.

The black Bentley was moving smoothly along the way. Verian looked at the scenery outside the window. She visited South City once when she was young. Similar to North City, it was a developed and prosperous city. There was quite some distance between the South City and the North City. It took a little bit more than two hours for one to arrive at the South City.

Yale looked at Verian, who was silent. Then, he asked, “Ms. Verian, are you nervous because you’ll be meeting madam soon?”

“Hmm, I am a bit nervous. After all, I’ve never met her before. Assistant Yale, can you tell me more about Madam Gaunt?”

Yale smiled and said, “Madam Gaunt has a very nice personality and she’s very easygoing. So, you don’t have to be all tensed up, Ms. Verian. Moreover, madam always wanted a daughter. She’s very happy to meet you. You don’t have to worry about how to get along well with madam. Just be yourself and I believe madam will like you a lot. You’re her biological daughter; she will for sure dote on you.”

“No, I mean…Madam Gaunt…and her…ex-husband.”

Yandel said that Yannis, her biological mother, had divorced Eric, her biological father. She wanted to know the reason why they got divorced. She also wanted to find out what kind of person her biological father was.

“Well, madam and Eric…Oh, Eric is the second young master and your biological father. Eric betrayed madam, basically, the Gaunt family and second young master never kept in touch with Eric. They are more like rivals in the current state. However, if you want to know more about Eric, it’s better for you to ask the second young master or Madam Gaunt.”

Verian nodded her head and stopped asking him questions, “So are we heading back to the Gaunt family right now?”

There was only dead silence in the meeting room. The atmosphere was freezing cold.

BOSS had been acting really weird recently. He was always lost in his thoughts during meetings.

Kush pushed open the door and entered the room. Then, he whispered to Xavier, “I found the wedding ring.”

Verian thought she could meet Madam Gaunt immediately right after she arrived at the Gaunt family. However, there was no one else in the house except for the maids.

Yandel spoke, “Mother is in the hospital. You and Leanie must be tired. Go get some rest. I’ll bring you to visit mother at the hospital tomorrow.”

“The hospital? Is Madam Gaunt sick?”

Although Verian was not close to her biological mother, Madam Gaunt was blood-related to her after all. She was somehow worried.

Yandel’s eyes darkened. He only nodded his head once and did not speak any further. Then, he asked the maid, “Aunt Yen, is the room ready?”

Aunt Yen smiled sweetly and said, “Ms. Xylean’s room was always kept nicely. You’ve ordered us to tidy it up regularly and we did not touch any of the furnishings inside the room. However, Ms. Verian’s bedroom is not ready yet. You’ve ordered us to prepare the room meticulously. Since it’s a bit rushing, her room is not done yet, but she can move in tomorrow. Second young master, why not let Ms. Verian live with Ms. Xylean for one night?”

Xylean was fine with the idea, “Alright, Verian, you can sleep with me tonight.”

Xylean wanted to move out badly. She was waiting for the day to come. She felt awkward living under the same roof with Yandel, let alone staying in one room.

Yandel’s eyes darkened after listening to what Xylean said. The image of the both of them hugging each other to sleep on the airplane came to his mind. Then, he said coldly, “Rainie just came back. You like to throw your blanket off when you sleep. If you catch a cold, Rainie will get sick too. You sleep with me tonight and let Rainie sleep in your room.”

Xylean said, “Since when did I have the habit of throwing my blanket off when I sleep? Why didn’t I know that?”

“I know and that’s more than enough.”

Yandel pulled Xylean, who was standing next to Verian, to his side.

Xylean was left speechless, “…”

Verian’s lips twitched as she thought, “Is my brother jealous?”

However…she was not a man.

It seemed like Xylean was correct about how this man was very overbearing. He got jealous easily, even more than Heaton. He was totally the King of Jealousy in Asia.
