01 First Meeting

"And now, for the finale of tonight's Blood Bath, the one who we have been waiting for...

Who remains as the strongest for maintaining the rank one spot in a decade! No one has ever seen her face but now under the new moon, we are again given the chance to take off the mask and see the face who ruled the underground for years? Let us all welcome, the undefeated queen of underground... Moon Empress!"

A girl with a black hood stood at the dark side of the arena, watching all of them wearing an excitement face to witness another blood battle. Some are supporting and shouting the name, Moon Empress. But most of them are greedily wishing to finally see the face behind the mask.

But unfortunately for them, their wish would not be granted.

Minutes passed, loud shouts and cheers gradually died down but still, no one showed up at the center stage of the arena. The guy who is supposed to be fighting the Moon Empress is now burning with anger as he felt like he was looked down.

"She was just so scared to not show up huh!!" shouted by the guy which caused for the people inside the arena to shout their anger to Moon Empress. Just as he was about to walk out from the stage, he felt a sudden pain at his leg and when he looked down, he saw a small knife stabbed at his leg with blood down the ground.

"You shouldn't expect your enemy to show up at your desired time and place. A battlefield can be anywhere at any time, it comes unexpectedly. That is why you shouldn't bring down your guard anytime"

A cold voice was heard loud enough to make the arena dead silent. A girl with a black hood slowly walking out to the dark side with her heels making an eerie sound every step she took. When she arrived at the center stage, everyone gasped as the light shined through her mask.

"You cheated!" shouted by the guy who is now facing the girl with so much anger, "Oh honey. No one is a cheater inside a battlefield" said by the hooded girl with a hint of sarcasm. Her comment made the guy more irritated.

"You're a wolf." it is not a question, it is a statement said by the girl with so much certainty in her voice. The guy did not even have a time to talk back since the hooded girl continue with her words, "You should shift now, before you run out of blood".

Right after the girl said this, the guy shifted to his wolf but no one is surprise to see a mythical creature after all this underground arena is open to everyone, teens, criminals, wolf, everyone.

Not a second passed and the wolf pounced at the girl which she quickly dodged but still somehow managed to scratch her that earns a low growl. 

Their fight continues like that, the wolf attacking with blood in his eyes while the girl just defending. But if you look closely, the wolf is actually full of scratches and is heavenly panting which indicated that he is already tired while the girl looks like she just came, still looking fresh. Clearly means that the girl is toying the guy.

Just before the moon fully darken, the Moon Empress always finishes her fights and would never show up again not unless a new moon is visible at the night sky.

"Your time is up" suddenly said by the girl before dashing straight to the wolf who can't move by the sudden turn of atmosphere.

In a blink of an eye everyone gasped as they saw a wolf bathing in his own blood at the center stage, ALONE. No hoodie girl with the mask, or the presence of the so called Moon Empress. No one just the dying wolf with no less than an hour to live.

Right after this scene, a man who radiates a deadly aura silently walk out of the arena together with his group of friends. 

Just as they were about to enter the dark forest beside the arena, the man who they claimed to be their leader suddenly halt. Which makes his group of friends to be confused and when they are about to question him, they heard a shriek of a girl who seems like she stumbled in a pile of rock lying on the ground.

All of them stood and watch the girl with their alert eyes, ready to fight whoever this suspicious girl is. However their alertness suddenly vanished when the girl looks at them with a smile on her face. For a moment everyone was mesmerized by her dark brown eyes which shined brightly in the dark atmosphere of the night.

"Lavender and Vanilla. Mate" the guy leading the group of friends, quietly said this which confuses everyone as he said it out of the blue. "Uhm, sorry if I interrupted you guys, it's just my clumsy self. Anyway, you can continue what you are doing hehe" said by the girl with a hint of embarrassment.

Hearing this, the group of friends are now ready to go back but their leader is still not moving an inch, still staring at the girl. The girl seemed to not noticed it because she turned around her back, ready to go opposite of their direction.

"You're coming with us"

Not a question but a command. This made the girl stop and look at him with arched eyebrow. The girl stared at him for a long time waiting for him to say he's just joking, but minutes passed and still no response.

"You are actually serious?!" The girl exclaimed in which the guy answered with, "Do I look like I'm joking to you?"

The girl is baffled by what she heard. Who wouldn't if some stranger would suddenly claimed you as what he called, Mate and expecting you to come with them without a proper explanation?

They both stared at each other for a long time and when the girl noticed that the guy wont back down, she sighed defeated. She's already used up her energy earlier and didn't want to put up a fight again.

And so she chose to go with them.
