Fuck! I ignored her again!!(13)

Now it was one of those lucky days for Aaron ,when he can be in Grace's presence.

And it all thanks to his little baby.

They were right now sitting on the living room couch, watching a Disney movie as per their son's wish, or ordering to watch a movie together as a family.

The little  indeed prefers his daddy more, but he also loves his mommy so much, but his mama always is so serious, never smiling at him. She never played with him. Never praise him. Never cuddle him. So the little mind of a child thought that she doesn't like him. So he always subtly tried to spend time with his mommy. Who doesn't talk unless it's much needed? But at least he's in his Mom's presence, that's all the baby wants.

He never dares to disturb his mama, scared that his mama will get mad at him.

So that's why he forced his daddy to see the family movie so he could be with his both parents.

Right now, little Asher is sitting on his daddy's lap leaning onto his chest, which was sitting at the couch. And Grace is sitting at the other end of the couch eyes on t.v and to say Aaron is disappointed is an understatement.

He didn't like the distance Grace had created between them; he hated it. He wants Grace to be close with him and cuddle with her like their baby was doing. He's feeling restless, he needs to talk to Grace, or he doesn't know what he will do.

So he took a deep breath and looked to his side at his mate Grace.

"Grace" he called.

He looked at him, confused when Grace grabbed the blanket and gave it to him.

"love, I don't want this" he spoke to her and again got more confused with what Grace did next.

"Oh sorry" she reached for the bowl full with popcorn and gave it to him. "Here" and all the while her eyes never leave the t.v in front of him.

"grace?" She looked at him this time. She hummed.

"Why are you giving me all of these?" He asked confusedly at her behaviour.

"You called me, that's why and you always call me when you want something." she said casually, without any emotions on her face.

"But I didn't call for you to give me these"

"Ok. Then what do you want?"

Aaron feels hurt. Did she think he calls for her only when he wants something?

"I don't want anything Grace," he softly said. He looked at Grace furrowed eyebrows trying to say 'then why call for me' he sigh.

"I just want to talk to you," he gently said. Grace's eyes widened slightly, and she pointed the finger at herself. "Me?" Asked in disbelief that Aaron even feels like talking to her.

"Yes love there's no one except you here, so I am talking to you" he sees the little, a tiny, tiny spark in Grace's eyes that he almost lost to know after he finished speaking.

"W-What do you want to talk to m-me?" she asked voice cold, face usual the poker one but eyes still holding that almost invisible tiny spark.

"I was wondering if you－" he couldn't finish his sentence when his baby diverts his attention to himself, telling him about his favourite Disney character that popped up on the screen and just like that his all attention went to his baby who enthausiungly talked with his broke baby language about his favourite character.

In all of that Aaron forgot to notice his mate who got up from the couch and disappeared from there like a thin air without their knowledge too busy on their world, her eyes again back to dull, cold and emotionless no side of any tiny spark that once seen in her eyes.

"Daddy 'am sleepy" his baby yawned eyes cutely shutting on its own out of tiredness. Aaron nodded and looked to his side for Grace.

"love let's got－."

"Grace?" His confused eyes darted here and there to find the petite looking girl that was once sitting with them but no site of hers to be seen.

When did she go? He cursed under his breath.

Fuck! I ignored her again, didn't I? He sighs and rubs his face frustratingly when he realized his mistake. Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Why does this always happen to him?! Finally, he got the chance to talk to Grace and convince her to go for dinner with him, but he ruined it by his stupidity.

After so long, he saw the emotion in her  eyes, although it was a tiny bit of spark. Still, there was something like hope, but he crushed it......again.

He looked at his sleepy baby and put him in his room, tucked safely in his warm blanket, kissing his forehead as he walked out of there and in his place.

Hopefully, Grace may be awake, and he could talk to her again without any disturbance. He opens the door of their room and walks inside to see no one was there, and he knocks on the bathroom, thinking maybe she's there.

"love? Are you there?"

*Silence.*

He opened the door; there was no one. He gets worried.

"Where's Grace?"

He checked his house, every corner, but there's no one. No sight of Grace and the worst thing is......

He can't even smell her scent to find her.
