Chapter 10 Something Wrong?

Li Tingxiao clicked on the file and began to read in.

The man’s bottomless pupils shone with a mysterious light, and after he finished reading it, he casually deleted the file as well.

The reporter recognized him as the CEO of the Heaven’s Entertainment Group, and his protests died in his throat.

Su Jianxi watched coldly as Shen Siming publicly defended Su Huanran, but her heart felt as though it was being stabbed by a thousand needles.

A chill penetrated her bones, starting from the bottom of her feet and spreading to the rest of her body. She clenched her hands into tight fists.

The more Shen Siming tried to defend Su Huanran, the more she wanted to send them both to hell.

Su Jianxi took her seat next to Su Huanran, and the more streetwise reporters all moved their microphones to face Su Jianxi instead.

“Excuse me, Su Jianxi, did you really beg Su Huanran to let you act, asking her to do you a favor as your close friend?”

“Su Jianxi, you know that Su Huanran has to act this role herself, so did you use your relationship to blackmail her so you could destroy her reputation?”

After the press conference ended, Su Huanran finally broke her long silence, saying gratefully, “Thank you, Jianxi.”

Su Jianxi found Su Huanran’s fake pretense utterly despicable, so she said coldly, “This is my last time taking the blame for you.”

Su Huanran watched Su Jianxi as she left, wondering, ‘Why did it feel like Su Jianxi had changed completely after returning from overseas?’

The report caused waves throughout the internet in no time at all.

Many people read that title and then saw what Su Jianxi had said during the press conference. She immediately came off as an obstinate and unreasonable heiress, whereas Su Huanran was the victim who succumbed to her pressure, a sweet princess who could sacrifice everything for her friend.

Su Jianxi flipped through a few pages of the reports around this incident, a small smile forever plastered on the corners of her lips.

There was a term in showbiz called ‘to kill with flattery’. The higher you tried to bring someone up, the worse it would be when they fell.

Su Jianxi put away her phone and left Heaven’s Entertainment Group.

When she reached the entrance, she instantly saw Li Tingxiao standing at the most conspicuous spot, looking right at her.

Su Jianxi approached Li Tingxiao without delay, asking him in a quiet voice, “What are you doing here?”

“I told you I would come find you. Besides, I’m just here to see my woman. Something wrong with that?” Li Tingxiao looked at the woman before him and asked with a raised brow.
