First Conversion in vain

Xenith POV Conti...

I reached Emily's room and knocked it, after receiving "Yes" as a reply I entered as the door was not locked and got chilling sensation with the cold air blowing through the open balcony and the girl in front of me was immersed in some work, god knows what....sitting on the floor with a laptop on her lap and a book on the side table but was looking damn cute with those reading glasses on her beautiful hazel eyes and was wearing a baggy shirt that reached till her knees with sweatpants underneath them and her hair in a loose bun with few strands coming on her face due to the blowing wind, I would like to see how long those silky hair are... 

For a moment I forgot the reason, why I was here and was lost admiring her until she looked up at me and unintentionally we made an eye contact that makes me come out of my trance. 

"Ohh... Sorry, I didn't realize it's you, I thought it's Lucy" Emily spoke getting startled seeing me. 

Clearing my throat I replied "I am here to talk out the things, hoping you are free now" with that I took a sit in front of her on the bed when she nodded approvingly, adjusting her things on the table.

Third Person POV

Before Xenith could speak anything, Emily started, "Yup... Right, I was going to find you after getting this done. So why did you marry me, what is the reason and what sort of deal you did with my family or vice versa because without any interest you don't seem to do such a big show along with me... I mean I have my reasons that I can't stop the marriage and it was really difficult for me to get away with it but for you, it was not that impossible right... You could have stopped it, then why you married me" Looking at him smiling she got confused and continued, "What? Why are you looking at me like this? Isn't you are here to give me the appropriate and reasonable reason..." Emily asked him everything in a go, which amused Xenith to the core. 

"What are you..by any chance have you met Zain before or did he make you go nuts in just a day," Xenith getting intrigued asked her with a little smile on his face remembering how Zain also starts to ask things in a way when he doesn't get any answers for his own crazy thought or he is messed up. 

"Who's Zain and what are you smiling at," Emily inquired rolling her eyes. 

"My friend......Alright, let's get to the point, yes I was also forced to marry you by my father because he had given his words to your father for this marriage. I don't know how much it is true and really don't know about any sort of deal that you are talking about. Ya, I could have back out from the marriage but my father blackmailed and threatened me to disown me from my own company and handing it to my stepbrother, which I can't afford to. So I have to do that show" Xenith informed her half-heartedly, as he doesn't like to share his life with anyone except Zain. 

"YOU MARRIED ME JUST FOR A COMPANY," she questioned him with a shocked expression. 

"IT'S NOT JUST A COMPANY" he got angry because he has given up on everything to get this sinking company on the top and won't bear to listen from people like he got things that easily. 

Emily got scared seeing him angry but composing herself, she inquired further, "why you need to marry me... I have never seen your father or met him nor I know who is he till now, also why he would promise my father anything like that as my father is working in a small firm and you all are businessmen..right, so that doesn't make sense and I don't think that they could be that close or are getting along that well to give such a promise. Are you sure that you don't know anything about the truth behind it or are you hiding it as to not reveal it to me"

Xenith was now on the edge of his frustration by her questions that show how she don't believe him and her accusing glares makes him feel like a liar, "ohh...so princess why don't you go to your lovely dad and ask him the truth, If you don't believe me...you know what it's my mistake that I came to talk to you but now let's end this here" saying this he gets up and walked away. 

"When are we getting divorced?" she asked on the verge of crying after hearing him saying her daddy's princess before he leaves the room. 

"Wow, Daddy's princess has so many questions to ask and accusations to make right" Xenith gets annoyed and left without answering her banging the door shut. 

"It would have been great if I would be a daddy's princess" muttering to herself, Emily's tears started to bream out as she continued crying into muffled sobs. 

After crying up to her heart's content Emily freshen up and call Steven, "Hey...Finally, someone remembers to give me a call" to which she asks "Any information on Jamie" after a pause Steven replied, "No.. I have my men working on it....you say how are you doing" with a heavy shy she answered "Let me know once you find her" and with that, she cut the call without replying and immersed herself again into her work.
