CHAPTER IX PROTECTING THE DEMON

ANGELA.

"Goodmorning Lucifer ^____^. Are you feeling better now? I've been looking for you yesterday but they told me that you already left." I said as soon as Lucifer entered the library.

I made sure to come here early so that I could clean the mess immediately.

Lucifer sank down on the couch and stared at his phone. 

It feels so good seeing him like this again. I'm so glad that he's fine now.

"Angelaaaaaaaaaaa!!!­!" 

I suddenly saw Miss Courtney entered the library. She hurriedly ran towards me and started scanning my whole body.

"Uh.. Good Morning, Miss Courtneyy??"

"Oh my fucking gosh, Angela! I'm so glad you're still alive sweetheart! I thought I already lost the only normal student here in Chasung High!" she exclaimed while squeezing me in her arms.

"Huh?"

"I heard about you, being trapped inside the elevator."

"Oh.."

She suddenly lean towards me then whispered,

"Do you know that the prince has claustrophobia?"

"Uh.. y-yes.."

Her eyes dilated upon hearing my response.

"How did you know?" she asked while looking at me dubiously.

I took a small step back, trying to avoid her gaze.

"My bestfriend used to tell me some things about him. She's a fan of him so.."

“Wait, I have something to ask you.”

The tone of her voice while she’s saying me that sounded like a judge trying to make her witness confess about something heinous.

“W-What is it, Miss Courtney?”

“What happened inside the elevator? Did the Prince panic? What did he do? Did he drool? Did he act like a total moron? Did he do something embarrassing? Come on Angela, tell me!”

“N-No.. He did panic but he didn’t do anything embarrassing ..” I answered.

She let out a problematic sigh, looking so disappointed.

“Why did you ask, Miss Courtney?”

“You know, that cold-blooded prince has been getting all the attention of our students ever since the day he transferred here. Whenever I step inside the entrance gate, all I can hear is, Prince Lucifer, Have you heard about Lucifer?, He’s so handsome today!” She narrated while mimicking the tone of a usual cooing girl. “Students has been patronizing him as if he’s the one to give them their grades! That’s why I have to show them the most embarrassing moment of the Prince so that they would stop looking at him like a Perfect God!” She uttered loudly, probably not aware enough that Lucifer is just a meter away from where we are standing.

Both Miss Courtney and I shifted our gaze to the glass door when we heard that someone opened it.

“M-Miss Santos and P-Prince Lucifer?” said a guy wearing glasses.

I raised my hand to say that I’m Miss Santos.

“What do you want from them, Cloud?” asked Miss Courtney.

The guy named Cloud, according to Miss Courtney, fixed his glasses first before responding.

“Dean wants to see them.”

D-DEAN?

But why? Did I do something foolish again?

“That shithole. What a pain in the ass.” Miss Courtney murmured.

“Please be seated.” Dean said, pertaining only to me since Lucifer is already sitting promptly on one of the couches.

Just being here again makes me feel like I was about to get punished. I just hope that it’s not about kicking me out from Chasung High..

“Yesterday, two Chasung High students were trapped inside the elevator.” Dean started speaking. “And it wasn’t an accident, because based on the investigations, none of you went inside the elevator during that time and P-Prince Lucifer is Claustrophobic so there’s no way that he would ride it.”

I glanced at Lucifer who’s currently glaring at Dean with his arms crossed.

“Can you still recall what exactly happened, Miss Santos?” Dean asked me.

I straightened my back and cleared my throat.

My hands are shaking for no particular reason.

“All that I can remember is that, someone made me unconscious by letting me smell a handkerchief that has a weird scent and then the next thing I know, I was already inside the elevator with Lucifer..”

Dean nodded then looked at Lucifer.

“H-How about you, Mr. Moden?”

Lucifer narrowed his eyes with irritation.

“Are you fucking kidding me? Bring those assholes to me now and stop wasting my time before I break that fucking neck of yours.”

Dean just shrugged and fixed his tie.

“A-Alright, Chasung High immediately held an investigation regarding the incident. We gathered some information and looked for witnesses. After further inquiries and analysis, we found out that a group of students has been planning on how to take revenge on our P-Prince.”

R-Revenge? On Lucifer? But, why?

“It turned out that the Gang Leader of the group BLOODY GANG, commanded his members to take revenge for him.”

“B-BLOODY GANG?”

“The one I’m pertaining to is Mr.

Joseph. He recently had a fight with Prince Lucifer.”

“THAT FUCKING COWARD!!”

“But I thought he’s been in a comatose?” I asked Dean.

“Fortunately, He was able to gain his consciousness again.”

“I’M GONNA KILL THAT DAMN BASTARD!” Lucifer suddenly growled, clenching his fist.

“C-Calm down Prince Lucifer.. He has not fully recovered yet..” Dean said, trying to calm him down but Lucifer was furious. 

He grabbed Dean by his collar.

“Lucifer!”

“P-Prince Lucifer!”

“I DON’T FUCKING CARE. I’LL KILL THAT BASTARD!” He shouted then released Dean.

Dean was gasping. The other school staffs are trying to help him but he just beckoned them to stop and just let Lucifer do what he wants.

“Mr. Joseph’s members are here .. It has been confirmed that they were the ones who locked the two of you inside the elevator. They paid the school utility staffs and other people inside to tell the students that the elevator in that building was under maintenance and can only be used after two and a half hours.”

I was left slack-jawed upon hearing that from Dean.

So, that’s the reason why nobody attempted to help us out.

“Please come in..”

Three red-headed boys stepped inside the Dean’s Office.

I stood up as soon as I saw their faces.

They look familiar .. I think I already saw them before..

“YOU FUCKING BASTARDDDDSSS!!!!”

In a blink of an eye, Lucifer was able to punch them on their faces.

“Mr. Moden please calm down!”

“Lucifer, stop it!”

I tried to stop Lucifer but he just pushed me away.

He keeps on beating the three men until six bulky security men hold his arms behind. He had no choice but to sit back on his seat.

“You know I won’t allow anyone to do any violent activities here inside my school even if you’re a prince!” Dean said.

Those three poor red-headed guys are already filled with bumps and bruises on their faces because of what Lucifer have done to them.

Wait, I think I remember them now.

“The three of you already went to the library before, right?” I asked them, but none of them responded.

“Perhaps, they already did. They’ve been plotting a vengeance ever since Mr. Joseph was hospitalized.” Dean clarified. “Good thing that we were able to find some CCTV footages of them entering the building and putting the two of you inside the elevator.”

“HUH! AND DO YOU THINK YOU COULD KILL ME, HUH?!!” Lucifer snarled.

“Why did you do that to us?” I calmly asked.

The guy in the middle let out a fake laugh and looked at me.

“Are you kidding me? Didn’t you just heard that, THAT EVIL knocked our Lord down?” he sarcastically said while glaring at Lucifer.

Lucifer attempted to punch him again but the school security men were able to stop him.

“Just because of that?” 

“JUST because of that?!! ARE YOU DUMB?! THAT CRIMINAL-BLOODED PRINCE OF YOURS ALMOST KILLED OUR LORD!!” said the other guy to me.

“And that’s why you planned to take revenge by trapping him inside the elevator knowing that he has claustrophobia?”

“HE’S TOO FORTUNATE THAT HE DIDN’T DIE. WE’VE GOT MORE BACK UP PLANS, YOU KNOW.” The last guy said.

“Acting like a pro-killer but acts like a fucking baby inside the elevator HAHAHA—

‘BOGSH!’

“Miss Santos!”

I wasn’t able to hold my anger any longer that’s why I punched him.

“YOU WITCH! YOU REALLY ARE THAT BASTARD’S WIFE! YOU FUCKING—

“Cowards. Don’t you think that makes you any different from him? You attacked him when he can’t even fight for himself and you still think that makes you any braver? YOU ARE ALL COWARDS. You don’t know how to fight fair.”

“You’re talking about fighting fair?! That bastard was never fair! He’s only brave because he got more wealth and more men to fight for him!”

“Lucifer has no friends!” I shouted.

Silence captivated the whole room.

“All that you think about is how you can put yourselves above anyone here. You never think about your parents who works hard just to be able to pay your tuition fees and allowances!”

“Hey you bitch, stop talking nonsense if you don’t want to get involved here. You don’t give a fuck about our parents and we can pay any amount of money!” replied the guy in the middle.

“You’re so lucky that you still have parents to provide your needs. You still have someone to run into in case you got no other place to go. But when they’re no longer there, maybe that’s the time you’ll fully realize their worth. Kids nowadays are too excited to grow up without noticing that their parents are growing older too. Do you think they can be proud of having children like you?”

“SHUT THE FUCK UP!!”

The other one of them was about to slap me but then Lucifer suddenly appeared in front of me and started beating them again.

"Say sorry to Lucifer and promise not to do it again." I stated.

"WHAT?! And Why would I do that?!" the guy at the middle said.

"You heard her, just apologize you fucking moron before I kill you right here and right now." Lucifer said while grabbing the guy on his collar.

"NO!!!"

"I'm Sorry, Prince Lucifer.. We promise not to do it again." the other two started saying.

"What the hell are you two doing?! Do you want Lord Joseph to kill us?!"

"You moron, your fucking Lord would probably die soon so if I were you, I'll start pleading for my life now." Lucifer threatened him.

"NO WA--ARRG!"

Lucifer forcefully punched him on his stomach.

"Lucifer, don't hurt him." I said.

"What now?! Will you do it or not?! You're just wasting my time!!" Lucifer shouted, ignoring what I just said.

"FINE! I'M SORRY!" the red-headed guy in the middle finally gave up.

"What?! I can't hear you!" Lucifer said, trying to insult the guy.

"I'm sorry Prince Lucifer..."

After few minutes, Dean already allowed us to leave.

I still can’t believe I said all of that. I even punched one of them. Does that makes me one of them too? T___T

“Angelaaaa! You’re such a retard!” I mumbled to myself.

I was surprised when Lucifer suddenly appeared in front of me.

“L-Lucifer..”

“What the fuck? Talking to yourself?” he said, looking at me like I'm a total mentally-illed woman.

“Uh…”

“Great speech, retard.” He said then patted me on my head before walking away.

W-Wait, did he just c-complimented me?!
