Lucy the manager

Daniel came back from his memory land as his pager was ringing. He headed to Sera's room as she was the one that paged. He was surprised as she wasn't the only one in the room. His best friend was with her. 

" I am guessing this pager is something unrelated to medicine. I am also guessing it's related to me personally." Daniel sighed as he new Dennis too well.

" You are right on. Look I was just bored and Dennis came and we started talking about your family as you are pretty famous. " Sera told him with a smile.

" Says the singer " Daniel said in a sarcastic tone. He didn't know why he was paged or how his topic was brought up and since when was Dennis a fan of her.  

" Hey , I didn't mean to pry into your life but actually I kind of respect you. I kind of knew you before Meeting you. My family is also in the business circle. My father always wanted to meet one of your family as you are one of the top richest families. The way your grandpa made dancers and theatres under his control is genius. What's more is you. You defied your family to pursue being a doctor and look at you now. I am also indebted to you for saving me " Sera talked quickly like some kind of fan. She always respected hard working people. After what Dennis told her about Daniel and how his family disowned him. She knew he had her full respect. 

Daniel didn't know what to say. No one has ever told him that face to face. He knew that he earned the respect of many people but no one bothered to say it out loud. He felt embarrassed.

" Thank you. But you also did the same. Your family didn't agree with you being a singer but now look at you. You were even able to meet ':the shadow' and earn his approval " Daniel also respected Sera not because of her being a singer but for her to meet 'the shadow' . The shadow is the  one who founded the largest series of companies. They specialized in technology, shopping districts , clothes , medicine , entertainment agencies and airlines. It is rumored that the shadow isn't an only person. They say they are three people. They are the masterminds of everything. They are also the richest people. Even his family couldn't compare to them as his family was ranked the second richest. Only certain people can meet one of the ' shadows". She was one of them.

" Well, my family hated me so no matter what I chose they would have opposed me" Sera said with a sad tone that made Daniel ashamed of telling her that. He fixed his mistake by changing the topic.

" Just so you know Dennis here is some kind of genius.  Not only his skills as a neurosurgeon. He also founded one of his family's companies that are specialized in medical machines." Dennis's family also specialized in medicine and medical machines so most of his family are Doctors but he took the title of the best.

" Oh you are making me blush " Dennis said with a smile that reached his eyes. He was glad his friend didn't mind him telling Sera about his life.

" I can see your handy work on my brain. " Sera pointed at her bandaged head. She knew that Dennis also operated on her and he was one of the people who saved her life.

Someone opened the door the door while the three people were becoming friends. The person was a familiar face to everyone in the room.

" Seraaaaaa, oh God you are alright. I was worried sick. Everyone at the agency is worried about you."

Tears dropped from her amber sparkling eyes. The girl was average looking but she looked like a pure and cute person. She was a bit chubby and short which made her look cute. She looked like she came from an average family. Everyone knew her as Sera's manager , the one who payed for her. 

" Lucy, I am so sorry for troubling you and everyone but it looks like I will need to take a leave. " Sera said while looking at her manager. She was happy that someone was worried about her well-being.

" Of course , I already made everyone sign the papers for your one year vacation. I also took care of the news. They weren't all subdued but you will manage them as soon as you get out. For now take care of yourself. And take as much time as you need to heal." Lucy told Sera while holding her hands and crying. 

" Thank you for everything. I am glad I have someone like you in my life. I could have never asked for a better manager." Sera said with grateful eyes. 

Lucy looked towards the doctors in the room and bowed to them 

" Thanks again for taking care of her and healing her. I am really grateful. We are both indebted to you".

" It was nothing. You shouldn't thank us. We did what we were supposed to do." Daniel said and Dennis took over.    " we are doctors we save lives and we take pride in it " his smile reached his eyes. Dennis is an easy-going person. His best part about being a doctor is saving a life and being thanked for it. Even though he chose neurosurgery where the percentage isn't in his favour. It made him appreciate it more and made it his drive to find ways to save more lives. They would always say that neurosurgeons were arrogant but this wasn't the case for Dennis. He appreciated himself but knew his limits and that made him a better doctor.

Daniel and Dennis took excused themselves to give the guest some privacy.

Sera and her manager talked about what had happened at the agency and she delivered surprising news.

"Your sister's debut as a singer is after six months" Lucy said while knowing how it will affect Sera but She had to tell her herself as this was her job. She cursed herself as soon as she saw Sera's reaction.

Sera looked as if she was betrayed. Sera expected what she heard but she never realized it would hurt this much.

Lucy said goodbye and told her that the others will visit her soon.
