Chapter 12- Followed
Auteur: Klara BethAs he stood behind the shelf across the library, he could see that “wolf boy,” seemed to be interested in a human female. He couldn’t help thinking to himself in disgust: Yeah, we may have to move the attack up if Alpha Treyvon's son is interested in a human. It would be a tragedy if we waited and they went as far as to reproduce. Eww..Just the idea turns my stomach.
Most of the hunters didn’t mind killing adults, but they were not keen on killing children. If they didn’t want to kill children, they certainly wouldn’t want to kill a pregnant human or an infant. Yeah, it would be better to do it sooner rather than later.
As he watched the pair, Travis smelled her neck, talked a bit, handed her an envelope, touched her hair, talked some more, and then left the library. He couldn’t help but wonder what was in that envelope. Oh well. Time would probably tell since they had been surveilling Travis for a week already and he seemed to have no clue he was being followed. What the hell kind of wolf, especially a future Alpha, doesn’t know he is being followed? Disappointing.
Part of being a hunter was the challenge, the hunt, trying not to be discovered when gathering evidence and proof ‘they’ are actually werewolves. No one wanted to kill innocent humans, so proof that the pack was a wolf pack and not just some religious cult that liked to live an out of the ordinary life style, was of the utmost importance. He continued to watch Travis until he returned to the fraternity for the night, but knew he would not be returning home to the wolf pack, until likely Friday night or Saturday morning after the football game. Travis was of course a starting, senior, wide receiver. How would this college feel if they know Travis was a werewolf and not really a human at all? No wonder he had superior skills. Like it was fair, to compare a human and a werewolf. Pffft, yeah right. He had always wondered what would happen if somehow an athlete like Travis would be injured enough to bleed substantially and a teammate somehow ingested it, would that be enough to cause them to become furry at least once a month, or would it actually take a bite? There is absolutely venom in the blood inside the werewolf's human body, but is it enough without the actual bite to transform a human? Of course not everyone who is bitten survives the transformation either. So for Travis and others like him to play sports with humans was taking a huge risk and putting those poor unsuspecting humans at risk of becoming animals as well. Xavion knew he was opinionated, but his best friend had been killed by one of those monsters. It was his life’s work to exterminate the entire werewolf race. Of course it sweetened the pot that he was paid for every life he took by his best friend’s father. Joshua Ventura may be dead, but his memory would never be forgotten. In fact, everytime Xavier killed a werewolf, he felt he was that much closer to avenging his best friend’s death, by exterminating the whole damn race of those monsters!
Xavier went home to his makeshift apartment and would be back at the surveilling of ‘Travis, the future Alpha,' tomorrow morning at 7:30 AM, since his first class was at 8AM. The boy really was easy to follow because his life consisted of college and football. Other than that, he rarely went home to his pack other than on weekends, and spent every night at the fraternity. Travis gave the term “wild animal,” a very tame definition. Thank goodness he was not the norm, or Xavier may actually feel bad about hunting these abominations.

Susan arrived home after class to help with supper preparation; she received numerous congratulations from the ladies and men in the kitchen, on her engagement. Alpha Gannon said, “congratulations little sister,” and enveloped her in a huge hug. She hadn't really studied her new engagement ring until she was sitting in class and admired the ½ carat, pear shaped solitaire diamond with a gold band that sat proudly on her ring finger. Smiling at the memory of Travis’s proposal, Susan ran to take a shower before supper.

Susan’s 8AM class ended and she headed for the cafeteria for their between class study group. Brad walked up behind her and linked arms with her, before saying, “hey girl! How ya think you did on the quiz?” Susan put her hand out and made a waffling motion in front of her. “Yeah, there were a couple questions I wasn’t sure about. I’ve really missed our study sessions lately,” Brad whined while sticking his bottom lip out in a pout for effect.
Hidden In Plain Sight (wolves) Chapter 52- Making A Plan
Travis had been excused from classes and football due to his father’s death; upon his return, he was trying hard to get caught up. Susan had been scarce at home due to classes and work, and Travis wanted to do something special to surprise her. Today, Travis was in the library working. After almost an hour, Brad walked through the door of the library and took a seat at one of the larger tables. Travis continued to watch, in hopes that if her best friend was here, so would Susan be. Brad appeared to start working on his work when a young, energetic, female with a high pitched voice sat down next to him. Brad looked up from his computer and said, “h
