Natalia walked towards the waiter, tapping his shoulder, he turned around.

"A-I -Hi." He stuttered.

She didn't bother responding, reaching over for two glasses of wine, she turned around.

Only she didn't know there was a handsome stranger behind her, until she bumped into him, causing some of the wine to go on his black shirt.

She looked up slowly, meeting the eyes of the person she bumped into to.

His dark brown eyes were sharp, his face was well defined, he had a faint smirk on his pink lips, shook her head snapping out of the trance she was in.

She licked her dry lips and cleared her throat.

"You should watch where you're going." She said, ready to move pass him but he stopped her.

Everyone was now watching the scene in front of them.

"But you bumped into me." His voice sent shivers down her spine.

"You were behind me, I don't have eyes at the back of my head, you know." He chuckled.

"Could you at least help me wash this out."

"If you apologize." He didn't say anything.

"Didn't think so." She drank her wine, well what was left of them.

"Here." She shoved the glasses to his chest, he held them quickly before they could fall, She walked away.

Walking back to her family, who were now sitting. She herself took a seat.

"What was that?" Anton asked his daughter.

"What was what?"

"That wa-"

"Anton! how have you been?" They turned and saw Alexia, who was an old family friend waving as she walked over with her family.

"I've been great couldn't be better, how are you, Alexia?" Anton said as he got up, kissing her cheek. Nicole crossed her arms, Natalia saw the whole scene, she shook her head chuckling softly.

'Mafia woman' She thought, shaking her, thinking she could never be like that.

"I'm fine, h-" Nicole got up, putting on a fake smile.

"Alexia, I heard you and Luis spilt." punctation

'Shots fired!' Natalia thought as she watched the scene in front of her.

"We did, but we're still working together, we try and put our differences aside, for our mafia and kids."

Alexia's two children stood beside her, her first daughter Alexandra and her son Alexander.

"How are you guys?" Nicole asked.

"We're fine, how are you?" Alexander responded.

"I'm ok." Before anyone could say another word the host, Jake, spoke.

"Please be seated." They all complied.

"I want to thank you all for coming, this is the one day we all come together, in peace and harmony, for now." A round of laughter came with the joke.

Natalia shook her head thinking. 'It wasn't even that funny'

"Now, let's enjoy the feast, the music and the dances."

Everyone clapped before continuing their conversation. After a few minutes dinner was served. The Petrov family ate in noise, much to Natalia's dismay, she just watched as everyone started a conversation on a different topic.

She felt a familiar gaze that had goosebumps popping up all over her body, the gaze that had her shivering with delight. She took in a breath, deciding to meet the eyes of the person.

She looked to her far-right, seeing a familiar face. It was the stranger from before, even though she had caught his stare he didn't shy away, he kept staring at her, it was like he was seeing straight through her like he saw something everyone missed.

"Are you going to, Natalia?" Natalia was oblivious to the fact, her father was talking to her.

"Natalia?" Andrey shook her. She blinked a few times before turning to them.

"Um, what were you saying?" They eyed her suspiciously before Anton spoke up again.

"I was asking if you would be able to take over training tomorrow?"

"Sure"

"Great, Andr-" She blocked out the rest of the conversation knowing it did not concern her.

She looked back over to the stranger, he was still looking at her, honestly, it didn't make her feel uncomfortable, it made her feel safe. He had a smirk on his lips, probably saw what had happened.

With all her strength, she tore her eyes away from his. Suddenly music started playing, couples got up going to the ball floor, Natalia's parents got up too. A few minutes later, Andrey sighed before offered Alexandra a hand, which she gladly accepted.

It was now Natalia, Alexander and Alexia sitting around their assigned table. After a few minutes of silence, Alexander spoke up.

"Natalia do-" Natalia immediately interrupts him.

"No, I don't want to dance." Silence took over the table once again.

Natalia couldn't help but let her eyes wandered over to the stranger's table, he was now talking to a woman that had dark brown that could be black, she continued watching them, as they talked.

After a while the stranger got up taking the woman's hand into his, they walked to the ball floor, his hand went around her waist pulling her close to his chest, she rested her head against him.

He whispered something to her, her eyes immediately met Natalia's, but she quickly diverted her eyes. Natalia's eyebrow raised.
