Chapter 4

🚩 Aiden's POV🚩

I woke up on the sound of the alarm. "Ohh, is it morning already?", I said and checked the time. It was 7:00. I have to dress for school. I got up, took my bath and was ready for school. I went downstairs for breakfast and saw my parents.

"Good morning Mum, Good morning Dad", I said and kissed my Mum on her cheeks.

"Good morning", they replied.

"Why are you still at home? You should be at the company by now, right?"

"It's nothing we just want to go a little bit later."

"Okay", I said shrugging."Where is Adrie? Is she still sleeping?"

"I don't know", Mum said.

"I'll go call her", I offered.

"No. Let me go", mum said and stood up.

I remained silent and began eating my food and Dad was just reading the newspaper.

Some minutes later, mum came running downstairs and said, "Tom, Adrie is gone."

"What do you mean she is gone?", Dad enquired.

"She is not in her room and I've searched the whole house. She is nowhere to be found."

"What?", I said almost shouting and ran quickly to Adrian's room but she wasn't there just as Mum said.

🚩 Adrian's POV🚩

I woke up that morning with a fever and headache. I remembered yesterday's event and held my cheek but it was no longer hot. I checked the time; 6:00 am. I walked to the mirror and I looked really bad. My hair was messy and my eyes were swollen. I didn't even change out of my yesterday's cloth and I remembered I slept off in Aiden's arms. My brother is just the best. 

I quickly took my bath, brushed my teeth and walked to the closet to choose what to wear. I checked through my cloth and decided to wear Karen's favorite color; red. I added a little bit of makeup to cover my swollen eyes. I noticed I wasn't done unpacking. My bags which contains all my paintings  was still lying on the floor and I decided I will check that later. I packed my hair in a ponytail just the way I like it and put on my black sandals.

 I checked myself one last time in the mirror and I knew I was good to go. I took my phone and carried my bag. I walked down the he stairs and made sure I didn't make a sound. 

 When I was downstairs, I saw a maid dusting the sitting room and said to her, "If anyone ask of me, tell them you haven't seen me this morning, okay?"

"Okay, Ma'am", she replied and I walked to the garage. I took one of the cars which mum had given me the key before and drove out. I need the day to myself. I stopped at a flower shop and bought some red roses and drove to the cemetery. I got there about 10 minutes later and packed the car. I got down from the car, took the flowers and walked towards her grave. I got to the place and stared at the tombstone.

             Karen Bayler(2001-2007)

     Died on the 5th day of March, 2007

 I cleaned the tears that have started to form in my eyes and placed the Flowers on her grave.

"I'm here Karen. I'm sorry I haven't been here in a long time but I just want you to know I'm back in New York. I want to make things right but it's hard. My Mum probably hates me now and I don't just know what to do. Karen, I wish you were here because you would know exactly what to say in this situation. You would have said, 'Don't think about it Adrie, think about me and you will be happy.' You are just like that Karen", I said smiling and crying at the same time. "I miss you so much Karen. I promise to visit you more often."

I sat close to Karen's grave for some minutes or maybe an hour. "I would be going now Karen. I would visit you soon", I said and got up to leave. I was crying and walking at the same time and bumped into someone. I looked up and saw a very cute guy. His hair is golden, he has deep blue eyes and he looked so good.

"I'm sorry", he said and then I realized I have been staring at him.

"Um... it's my fault", I quickly responded.

 He reached into his pocket and pulled out his handkerchief. He gave it to me and I just stood there staring at him.

"Why are you staring at me that way. Have you seen me before?", he said smiling.

"You just look like someone I know", I lied.

"Ohh", he said and took my hands and placed the handkerchief in it.

"Why are you giving me this?", I asked confused.

"Let's just say I don't like seeing pretty girls cry", he said smiling.

 I took the handkerchief and wiped my tears.

"You live around?", he asked.

"Yes", I replied.

"I'll see you later then. Bye."

"Bye", I said and he walked away. Then I realized his handkerchief is still with me and turned but he is not there again. I didn't even ask for his name. I shrugged and walked to my car.

"That's weird", I said still staring at the handkerchief. I don't even know his name and I never bothered asking. I was just staring at him but truth be told, the guy is really cute. I dropped the handkerchief in my bag and checked my phone. 65 missed calls from Mum and Aid.

"What the heck? Why are they calling me?", I said and I called Aiden. "Hello", I said as soon as he picked the call.

"Adrian, where have you been? We've searched all over for you" , he said almost shouting.

"I just had to take care of something. Why?"

"That's a relief. I thought you ran off", he said and I laughed.

"Why would you think I ran off, silly?"

"I thought you ran off because of what Mum did yesterday."

"Okay. I didn't run off. I just went to the cemetery to visit Karen."

"Ohh. Thank goodness."

"Why are you not in school?", I asked him really confused.

"I had to look for you of course but I'm leaving now. I will see you when I'm back. Okay?"

"Okay. Have a nice day."

"You too, kiddo", he said and the call got disconnected.

🚩Third person's POV🚩

Location: 2 blocks to McGregory high school.

A boy stood by his car waiting for his friends. He has golden hair and blue eyes (Anthony).

"Where in the world are these two. I'm tired of waiting for them", Anthony said really angry. Some minutes later, Aiden came running.

"I'm sorry for keeping you waiting. Had a little problem to deal with", he explained.

"Okay but you have to tell me the problem later for now let's wait for Adam", Anthony said. 

"Oh, there he is", Aiden said pointing to Adam's car.

"At last", Anthony said feeling irritated.   

Adam got down from the car and walked closer to his friends.

"I'm sorry guys. I got stuck in traffic", he explained.

"That's just great. Aiden got a problem to deal with and you got stuck in traffic. Totally great", Anthony said.

"Will you just let's go and stop nagging like a girl", Aiden said and they all laughed.

"Okay fine. Let's go."

The 3 of them got in their cars and drove off to school. They got down from their various cars on getting to the school.

"Prepare for your usual morning drama", Anthony said and they laughed.

As they entered the school, everyone turned to look at their direction.

"Ohh! The 3 great As are here", a girl shouted and all the students rushed to the direction of the boys.

"Ohh, they really look cute this morning."

"Yes, especially Anthony."

"No, Aiden is cuter."

"Adam is the cutest."

The students were arguing among themselves.

The boys are the richest, cutest and most popular in MacGregory High School. The school is owned by their parents and they even have their own private classroom. The boys are the basketball gods in the school and every girl in the school would do anything just to date one of them. Each boy has a different characteristics from the rest.

Adam Sussman: Has golden hair and deep blue eyes. He is the Casanova among the 3. He changes his girlfriend almost every week.

Aiden Kendall: Has black hair and blue eyes. The funniest among them. He cheers the remaining 2 up when they aren't happy and he is always happy.

Anthony Armstrong: Has golden and blue eyes. The most arrogant among them. He is only nice to his friends and his younger sister.
