Chapter 04

"All this is for my protection David, and I think you should respect them and calm down man... Have you forgotten that I am blind?" I said and he puts me more in his arms and Giggles a bit that he noticed but ignored.

"I am taking you to the beach next tomorrow but I don't know when I should come to carry you without your mum knowing," he said to me and I smiled.

"You should just ask my mum first, cause i might not follow you anywhere," I said to him and I tried to picture the kind of face he was putting on because of what I said.

"Did I hear going out?" My mum says from the dining as she walks towards where I and David sat speedily.

"Don't say a word!" David whispers as she walks closer towards where I and him were.

"Well, i was just telling Oliver how it would have been so nice for I and her to go out and she was like no... I'm not allowed to because of my condition" David says and silence followed as I kept chill.

"Well, it is not like i do not trust you, it is just that her condition makes her vulnerable to the darkness out there... If you get what I mean" she says and David tightens my hand in his.

"But i am giving you full permission to take her out but not to the beach because that's where you know... All this all started.

I squeezed his palm in return and he didn't say a word afterward.

"I think it is time you tell your mum what you have always told me was your biggest wish," he says out loud and my heart starts to beat as my wish was not just a wish but a top-secret of mine.

"Please I don't want to talk about it," I said out and David laughed a bit.

"Oh... I see she wishes I would never stop buying her medication so she'd see one day" Christiania_my mum says seating at my right-hand side.

She hugs me and tears follow as I feel it over my shoulders.

My illness has made such a hardworking woman cry for so long.

"I'm sorry I let a thief steal my purse," she says, holding me tightly to herself.

"Mum!" I said annoyed... Actually tired of the fact that my illness has been making her sad and has destabilized her badly. I feel guilty of it as well, but I hope she gets better soon.

"You lost your purse that had her medicines?" David asked and the next thing that was happening was out of my sight.

"Thank you so much, David, you have been of serious help to me and Oliver, God bless you," my mum says crying badly.

"Stop crying! I'd be okay, at least I have the best mother on planet earth and a friend that shows me love" I said holding David's hand.

"But mum! I need to free my guilt, it kills me every day to tell you what happened to dad and you categorize my stories as fantasy" I said as I began to cry as well.

"Christiania daddy is the ocean and a white shark brought me to the shores, I need to see my daddy so you either follow me to the beach with David or you let David take me there," I said to her and she slides down from the chair to the floor.

"Oliver, the doctor told me to never take you to the ocean because it may affect you mentally, you have to follow the doctor's order sweetie"

"I don't want to lose the only thing that gives me a future to live for please" she begs holding my knees.

"Mum! People take a risk to survive, don't you see that we have been following the doctor's orders for so long now?" I asked her in tears.

"I have made up my mind mum, please take me or let me go where I want to go," I said to her and she lays her head over my labs.

"You are as stubborn as your father Oliver!" She says loudly as she stands up and the next words that escaped out of her lips stunned the shit out of me that I felt like it was unreal.

"Alright, I would take you there with David of course and we have something personal to talk about concerning your father," she says pecking me and leaving.

"See! Imagine if you followed what I told you three years ago, maybe with the persuasion that you just used now your mum would have voluntarily taken you there" David says putting his hand over my shoulders.

"Thanks so much for pushing me to finally tell her what i have always wanted to let her know about," I said to him and he pecks me as well.

"But why David? Why do you care about me? I mean why have you always cared about me?" I asked so many questions at once and leaned in with his hot breath pouring over my ears.

"You are so beautiful and that is one, you have a mad curvy waist with a huge butt.

"Your eyes are brownish with a light green ring, not to forget that your lips are soft and really pink"

"I love you more for the fact that your hair feels so curly when I touch it and I have always loved you so much my amazing looking Nigerian lady and yeah! I love you for being unique" he says and I am about to melt from the chair that I was seating on.

"Oh my god, David! God really made your mouth with all the flavors of milkshake!" I said to him and it reminded me that he had bought a milkshake for me as well.

"So where is the milkshake?" I said searching for it just to feel what made me almost stand up and run.

"Damn Oliver, you should have just asked me to give it to you," he says shifting away.

"I didn't mean to grab your reproductive organ boy, that felt horribly wrong," I said and he laughed and I searched for a pillow to throw at him wherever he was.
