Chapter 004

Felicity Young ran mindlessly. She did not know where she was headed. She only wished to find a corner to hide so that her mother would not find her.

While turning at a section, she accidentally bumped into someone, and Felicity tumbled to the ground. Tears were poured as she was in pain.

Clark Xavier paused in his tracks and lowered his head to see the little girl sitting on the ground.

Felicity was in so much pain that she could not stand up. She was afraid that her mother would find her. This thought triggered her tears to roll down her cheeks relentlessly.

Clark heard her crying and frowned. “What are you crying for? Stop crying.”

He never liked crying children. In fact, his son had rarely cried, so he thought that all the children in the world were as strong-willed.

Harrison Tucker, his secretary, glanced at Felicity. His eyes widened as he let out an incredulous gasp.

“Oh, my goodness! This little girl looks exactly like Little Master…”

Clark was stunned upon hearing his words. He lowered his head to take a good look at Felicity.

The little girl had a doll-like appearance with beautiful and exquisite features. She was doe-eyed and had long curled lashes under her bangs. Her face was pale due to her sickness. She had dewy eyes, still red from her crying. Anyone’s anger would dissipate at the sight of her.

Those eyebrows did indeed look shockingly similar to his son’s. The only difference between them was that Ollie had never expressed himself this way.

Felicity continued to cry. Her tears were flooding her dewy eyes.

Clark’s heart softened when he thought about his son. His voice hesitantly turned gentle. “There, there, stop crying now. Are you hurt? What’s your name?”

“M-My name’s Felicity Young. You’re bad, Uncle. It’s so painful. That bump was painful. Sobs…”

“What can I do for you to stop crying? What do you want? Uncle will compensate you, how about that?”

Perhaps because the little girl looked almost identical to his son, Clark’s words had considerably become gentler.

Felicity stopped crying and sniffed. She stretched out her arm and grasped onto Clark’s pants.

“Is that true, Uncle? You will give me anything that I want?”

“Of course, I will give you anything that you want.”

Clark thought that children of this age would surely just want sweets and toys.

Who would have thought that Felicity would stare at him with eyes filled with eagerness? Her face carried an air of maturity. “Uncle, can you give Mommy a job?”

Clark did not expect that she would come up with this request. His cold face turned back into one that was filled with irritation.

“Mommy just could not find any jobs. Sobs. It’s all Felice’s fault. I made Mommy tired. Uncle, can you please help her. Sobs…”

Felicity’s eyes were bloodshot from all the crying. She was like a little rabbit anxiously looking at this handsome, noble man. If her mother had a job, then she could be properly treated. She would not need to leave her mother anymore.

Clark knelt before her; his line of sight met hers on an equal level. He pulled out his private business card from his pocket and stuffed it into Felicity’s hands. “Ask your Mommy to apply here. This is uncle’s compensation for you.”

Felicity’s eyes sparkled like a cluster of stars. She clutched onto the name card and broke into tears. She then hugged his arm and gave him a big kiss on his cheek.

“Thanks, Uncle!”

Clark was left surprised.

He had never allowed anyone of the opposite sex to touch him. Aside from his son, he had never had such an intimate moment with anyone else.

He touched his face after a moment. He could still feel the little girl’s wet saliva on his cheek.

Harrison Tucker was shocked himself.

President… had just been won over? Won over by a little girl at that?

“Bye, Uncle! I’m going to look for Mommy!”

Felicity skipped away after she had said her byes.

From a distance, Clark saw the little girl throw herself into a lady’s embrace, shouting ‘Mommy’.

Clark’s eyes narrowed as he looked at the woman whose back was facing him.

A delicate figure with long black mane. Yet, he could not see her face.

Soon after, she left carrying her child.

Clark came back to his senses. He felt that the silhouette looked quite familiar. He suppressed the awkward idea in his heart and left the hospital in a rush.

“Felice, where did you go? You scared me to death!”

“Mommy, look, look!”

Felicity took out the business card and waved it around in great enthusiasm. She was waiting for her mother to shower her with praise.

Regina looked at the name card.

“Soaring Dragon Corporation, Clark Xavier.”
