Days went on and Mr. Mávros' pleasant attitude towards me continued. Even Angie and Coleen were both curious as to why the devil haven't unleashed hell for about two weeks now. That's a record, a milestone for me I guess.

Jeremy, the assistant manager of the finance department had been constantly bugging me since I came back with coffee and lunches. He even asked me out to dinner once or twice now but I still haven't gone out with him. I don't see a future with him in a relationship but still, my sister told me to give it a try.

So here I am now, in Amélie with Jeremy. Dressed in this cocktail pink dress Cali told me to wear while Jeremy was in his smart casual attire. We just finished our dinner and we are now having light drinks for the night. Jeremy had been really attentive to my needs for our first date and I never knew that a guy should be this sweet. Max had never been this way with me and I wonder if he really adored me like he said or was it just words.

''How is the Milan project going?'' Jeremy asked me as soon as the bartender handed our coronas.

''It's going well, we've been pretty busy since I came back'' I tilted the beer in my mouth. The alcohol touched my soul and I can feel my body tingly with each sip.

''Is the boss still treating you like crap?'' he asked in a very concerned tone.

I shake my head ''he's actually nice to me now. I think, me leaving the office kind of helped my situation a little.''

Jeremy shakes his head ''I see the way he looks at you, Ren. Just be always on guard with him.''

''What? What do you mean look?'' I asked curiously.

He finished his first bottle of beer and probably the last too. He can't drink too much because he'll be driving me back to my place and his. ''Just be careful with him, Ren. He is not a good guy.''

I giggled lightly ''do you think he's interested in me? I'm not his type, Jer.''

He chuckled lightly ''don't underestimate yourself, Ren. You are pretty and smart, beautiful inside out and any man would be lucky to have you. I included, but I know you see me as your friend and nothing more so I'd settle for that but please don't fall for Mr. Mávros' charm.''

''You know what? I think your drunk, Jer. Let's go home okay? I still have work to do tomorrow'' I stood up and Jeremy was on my heel.

He drove me home and when we were at my apartment door, I kissed him on the cheek after thanking him for a wonderful night. What he said bugged me, I was far from Mr. Mávros' type but I can't help but like the way he has changed his attitude. He's becoming the person I've always admired from afar since I was in college but him, like me? That's just crazy.

I was in my office the next day, preparing all the papers needed for the board meeting at ten. This will be the final meeting before the Milan Hotel start the construction. The partner construction company is a close friend of Mr. Mávros. His best friend Mr. Evan Carter is the CEO of the Crater Buildings and it was not rocket science to know that they'll be partnering up for this project.

One by one, the board members arrived and so did Ms. Garcia, or Eve for short with Coleen on her heels.

''Looking good, Ren'' Ms. Garcia greeted me with a hug which I gladly returned. ''Single life is good on you.'

''Thank you, Eve'' I replied sheepishly as Coleen pulled me for a hug too.

''Are you going with us to Milan?'' Eve asked me as soon as she takes her seat at the conference table.

''She is'' Mr. Mávros replied before I could and I looked at him for the first time in the day. He was wearing his dark blue Armani suit today which looks good on him, as always.

''Sir?'' I asked questioningly as he takes his seat.

''You are going with me to Milan, Ms. Green'' he said nonchalantly and I gulped the growing lump in my throat. I asked him alright but I never expected him to act on his words so soon.

''Yes, Sir, thank you'' I knew my cheeks were as red as tomatoes and Coleen nudge my side while winking. I swatted her arms gently as Ms. Garcia gave me an inquisitive glance.

''Who is this lovely lady beside you, Dev'' Mr. Carter asked as soon as he takes the seat across from Mr. Mávros. He gave me a quick sweep from my face to my dress and I can feel my heart pumping out of my chest. I had this secret crush on Evan Carter since I started working for the company. He drops by from time to time to visit my boss but this is the first time he is giving me this attention. His beautiful brown eyes were giving me chills everywhere he lands his gaze on my body. His plump lips curled into a grin and his blond hair was still disheveled which looks so sexy on him.

When Mr. Mávros didn't respond, he asked again. ''Is she your P.A. Ms. Green?''

''Stop staring at my P.A., Evan'' Mr. Mávros spoke sternly as Mr. Carter just laughed it off.

''Someone's grumpy'' Mr. Carter replied as his gaze never leaving me. It doesn't help that Coleen was continuously nudging my side like a hormonal teenager. We are in a meeting for goodness sakes.

The meeting commenced and Mr. Carter presented their plan for the hotel. I took the minutes of the meeting like always and his continuous winking at me didn't help my flushing cheeks. Mr. Mávros is now asking him questions about the blueprint he presented but his gaze was still fixed on me. What is his game? Does he know that I have a crush on him?
