Chapter 3

“Isn’t the music too loud? It’s ultrasonic!” I tried to shout to her hearing.

“If you have a problem with it, You can get the hell out of my car! You don’t dictate to me!! I do what I want whenever I want to!!!” She snapped.

“I’m so sorry...” I apologised and bowed my head in defeat.

Kaylle rolled her eyes and stopped the car abruptly.

“Out of my car!” Shouted Kaylle. 

“I’m really sorry, I promise not to utter a word again…” I pleaded as tears gathered my sad eyes.

“I don’t want to repeat my words bitch! Now get out of my car before I do something you will regret!!” She spat.

“I’m Sorry princess kay…” I panicked with her favourite nick-name. She’s always pleased whenever anyone calls her princess because she believes she’s royal. 

“Get the hell in, I have no time to waste!” She commanded.

I sighed and quickly got in. I closed the car door and she drove off. I calmed down and dried my tears.

Half way through the drive, she looked at me with a wicked smile on her face. How I so want to wipe the smile out of her face. Nothing good ever comes out of that smile.

She rolled her eyes at my foolishness and asked wickedly. 

“Did you do my History homework?” 

She knows I usually have no time with all the chores she and her mum slowly kills me with. She’s hoping I haven’t done it so she could punish me by giving me more to do.

“Hmm… Yes, I’ve completed it.” I said and handed the paper work to her. Her smile dropped but she quickly in disappointment wondering how I managed to complete her whole lot of paper work. But she quickly covered it up with a smirk, probably thinking of giving me another work to do. 

Kaylle looked down at the homework, her name written boldly in capital letters 'KAYLLE ANDREWS'. She glanced through the scripts and nodded in satisfaction. 

“I lose one mark, and I swear to make your life more miserable than it already is…got it?” She said wickedly. 

I swallowed hard and mumbled an “Okay”. The rest of the ride to school was silent afterwards.

Finally, we got to school and she parked her car on her spot in the school parking lot. It was already thirty minutes past eight and the first class starts by eight. It’s almost time to end the Biology class.

"Oh shit! I’m late already, All thanks to the deadbeat stepsister of mine."

If you haven’t noticed, I don’t like being late. I’ve never been on detention before.

I have biology first class today. I like the subject but I don’t like the teacher, Mr. Rios Rios. 

“Who bears that! Such a rear name that sounds so much like Riot Riot. No wonder, students call him Mr. Riot Square… He’s so strict and always serious especially with his marking scheme.” I thought as I finally got to the door of my class. Room 205.

I opened the door gently and walked in with my head bowed. I don’t want to look at any of my classmates. 

“Good morning sir…” I greeted.

“Hey! Miss Anabella, glad to see you decided to join the class.” He said sarcastically.

“I..i’m sorry sir, I promise it wouldn’t happen again…” I managed to reply.  

“Oh! I thought you were nursing your babies and also, how is your husband doing?” Mr. Rios asked as other students burst into laughter. 

I was so embarrassed and felt disappointed. Mr. Riot Square really caused double trouble for me. I kept silent, lowered my gaze and stared at the floor, hoping it would just divide into two and swallow me. My heart thumbing really loud in my chest as my hands became sweaty.

“You’ll have to answer this question to my satisfaction or you get detention…” He said smugly.

“Ok sir,” I replied.

“What do you understand by the word REPRODUCTION?” He asked pointing to the topic on the whiteboard.

“Err… Uh....Reproduction is the process whereby a male inserts his penis, which needs to be erect, into the female’s virgina, and then either partner initiates rhythmic pelvic therust until the male ejaculates semen, which contain sperm into the virginal canal. Sir, this process is also known as “coitus”, “mating”, having sex or euphemically, making love." I swallowed and continue, hoping I gave the right definition.

"We animals generally reproduce sexually while most plants reproduce asexually.” I answered blushing furiously. My face must have turned tomatoe. 

That asshole, he intentionally asked me the question to humiliate me more in front of the whole class.

Most of the student snickered and giggled while others roared with an annoying laughter.

I smirked and waited for Mr. Riot’s reply.

“Wow, what a brave student! I’ll annex you additional ten marks to your exams and you're now my favourite student, so learn to come earlier to school, understood?!”

“Yes, Mr. Rios.” 

“Take your seat.”

I happily went to my seat.

What made me happy was the fact that I wasn’t disgraced.

Just then, a voice sounded from my head saying…

‘Don’t be too exultant, coward! Other students will surely notice you!…'

As Mr. Riot teaches, I turned around and noticed that other students were touching at me and glancing at me irritably.

I tried to concentrate and took some notes.

“Bye, Miss Anabella Andrews.” Mr. Rios said cheerfully and left the class.

I jinxed in astonishment “Not again!…”
