[ Chapter 9: Apology ]

Leah ran away from their classroom. She trembled from head to toe. Of course, her heart beats faster.

: How can I face him now! Why did I do that! I'm really stupid! I already said that fiction is not true! How can he? A character came into life?

: Isn't he?

Leah asked her mind.

: Ah!

Leah stomped her right foot.

Leah kept blaming herself that it was her fault. She was annoyed that it was her mistake. So good so far, she has no face to face him.

: Leah!

Someone called her.

Then Leah looked at where the voice came from.

: Big sister Ji, Gu, Ole and Nami!

Leah muttered in a shaky voice. She feared that her friend will yell at her.

When the group came to her they huffed from running. They wanted to know why.

: Huff... Huff...

The four girls gasped for air when they reached her.

: Why are you following me?

Leah asked.

: Idiot!

Nami shouted at her.

: Dumbed!

Ole said to her.

The two yelled at her. Ji and Gu didn’t know what to say also. They just stood there without knowing why.

: He he... I'm so sorry. I didn't think about it. I’m going to die now!

Leah said while smiling silly.  However, she wore a fear within her smiles.

: Trouble!

The four girls thought.

: This trouble maker.

Gu sighed and stood in front of her.

: Please let me know what really happened.

Gu asked her.

: Say it, Leah!

Nami demanded to her.

Leah looked at them with a troubled face. She wanted to say it but she bore an embarrassing past with Jin Park.

: Sigh, okay, okay. But first promise me! Swear not to Laugh!

Leah asked them to. She wanted to warn them first.

: Bla, bla, bla, just say it Leah!

Nami said again.

: Stop it Nami!

Ji reproached her to stop speaking about Leah.

: Stop it guys!

Gu shouted with a loud voice. She gave off a serious vibe.

: Okay...

Both of the girls shut their mouths.

Then Gu looked at her with a smile.

: Say it now Leah, I won’t laugh.

Gu said to her. She meant it was okay.

Then Leah looked at them one by one with a nervous feeling. As she nodded, she started to speak.

: Actually, I mean that student, Jin!

: I--

Leah stopped halfway without continuing her words.

: Say it!

This time all the four girls shouted.

: I will say it!

Leah yelled at them.

Then Leah looked at them but she is very nervous.

: I mean, I met him on the bus, at home and that happened...

: I-I- killed his dog, because I-I- stopped him. . .

Leah said. However it was all broke, she can’t speak properly because she was thinking about the dog.

: Tell us! My God! Tell me clearly Leah!

: Make it more dramatic!

Gu shouted at her. Her tone was fierce and it was enough to kill her. Gu did not speak as always but if wore an annoying face she will burst into anger.

However, Leah is prone to mental damage. She won’t mind their yell because it was her friends.

: I'm not an actor! I'm not as talented as you! I'm not a diva! I'm not a singer, especially not a dancer! I'm an idiot! Huff, Huff...

Leah spoke her grave feelings to Gu.

However, it didn’t stun the girls especially Gu and Ji.

: Ha ha ha ha ha!

However, the rest of the girls laughed at her. Even her big sister Ji couldn’t help but chuckled after Nami and Ole giggled too much.

: Shut up you three! 

Leah and Gu shouted.

: Yes...

The trio replied at the same time. They keep their mouths shut until they speak.

: So what now?

Leah asked. She doesn’t want to continue her story anymore. It was due to their laughs and funny faces.

: Tell us.

Gu said. She wanted to uncover this, especially it was still a “why” to her. She doesn’t want any mystery to be left unsolved.

: Okay.

Leah answered.

: Okay, if you laugh again then –

Leah gave a warning.

: Bla bla bla! Just say it!

Gu stopped her.

Then Leah at them that it was okay.

: Okay... this happened.

Leah told all of it. The day she met Jin and the scenes.

: Is that all?

Gu said if there was a thing which Leah left untold. She wanted to know all of the details.

: Yes, he said I killed his dog because I prevented him from saving his dog. That time I was saved because of him. It was my mistake. Sorry girls.

Leah apologized.

: Leah is as honest as always, but her honesty and purity is what the bid problem.

Gu concluded in her mind. She looked at her then wore a soothing face.

: It was not your mistake Leah. What if you fall? Didn’t he save you because he meant it? Don’t worry just apologized to him after this.

Gu said to her.

Of course, Ji will look at her like nothing.

: Gu is right Leah.

Ji said to her.  She wanted to encourage her to be strong.

Then Leah looked at them with a thankful smile.

: Thank you, girls.

Leah said to them.

Then the five girls walked away. They are going back to their classroom.

In front of the door, Leah stopped.

Ji and Ole looked at her.

: You can do it, Leah.

Both of these girls cheered her up.

: Okay.

Leah said.

Leah looked at her friends with uneasiness.

: Then what if Jin Park would not accept my apology? Will he kill me?

Leah asked.

: I don't think he will.

Gu pondered.

: Let's find out first. If he doesn't kill you, that means you're alive. If he really kills you, we'll save you. Okay?

Gu said. She thinks fastly about it and solved her worries.

That was her solution to Leah's problem.

: You said so because you're not going to help me! You're telling me to die!

Leah refused to believe. Leah still bore those resentments before. Jin shouted at her.

: Always stupid! He really won't kill you! This is a campus! We are a student and we know that? We are protected by the government!

Gu explained to her.

: Hmm…. hmm….

The rest of the girls nodded.

: Gu is correct. This place is not a place that you can do that Leah.

Ji said to her.

: Okay.

Leah said with a gloomy face.

: Then let's go!

Nami and Ole quickly suggested. These two is excited to know what will Leah gets.

: These girls are excited to see me die! Am I really out of luck? Why me again! As always! What can I do? Never mind! Will I face him?

Leah asked her mind. She wanted to do it but not. Her thoughts of getting yelled again are lingering in her mind. She doesn’t mind if it was her friends but, it was their new classmates. Leah didn’t know if he was good or not.
