04.

     XARA. 

   I looked down at his lips before averting my gaze back to his eyes which watched me keenly. 

   Gawd ! What was I about to do? 

    "Where do you learn everything in such a minute? I thought you said you don't understand the human language"

  He muttered and his whole breath covered my face. 

   "I figured it out "

  I muttered slowly before he moved away from me. 

    "Okay. "

   he muttered and walked away. 

   What was that for? 

     I sighed and sit on the bed. What's up with me? 

   Why will I look at his lips? 

   Something is definitely wrong with me. 

    My stomach grumbled and I looked down at it. Now, I'm hungry. 

          RED. 

    That girl is really weird. The fuck, I hate her. 

   I walked downstairs and Anna walked up to me. 

     "He left. Said you should make it his house next time."

   I nodded and grabbed a blunt and a lighter. 

    "Hey man. "

   Pierce uttered walking in and I turned to him, smoke puffing out of my nostrils. 

    "What are you still doing here, Anna? Is your job done? "

    I raised my brows at her and she bowed before walking away intentionally shaking her ass. 

   Dumb ass bitch ! Buddy has been hitting on me since she got the job. 

  She's so stupid though if she thinks I'm gonna have sex with my own employee? 

    I can fuck any lady but not someone I pay. I would have fired the bitch if she wasn't so good at her job. 

    "How was the deal with Simon? "

   Pierce uttered lighting a cigarette and seating across from me. 

     "Dude wants me to sell myself out for a deal worth 80 mil, promised to give me 30 but I told him to make it 35,45"

   I muttered, my eyes going upstairs. 

     How do I handle that mermaid girl? 

    'I think you can start by knowing her name '

   My subconscious pricked me. 

     "Red, are you even listening to me? "

   Pierce jotted me out of my thoughts and I turned to him. 

    "What was your last words? "

    I muttered dropping the cigarette and grabbing the wine. 

    "About your engagement with that tiny model, Jeanette "

    I rolled my eyes and dropped the wine. 

     "You know my fuckin father won't let me rest so I'm just gonna get engaged to her and break it off before the wedding after the deal is done. You know I hate commitment. "

   I scoffed and he chuckled. 

    "Here comes your girl.. "

  He winked and I turned back to see Jeanette walk in with her two guards beside her. 

    "Hey babe. "

   She coos and tried to hug me but my glares made her stopped immediately. 

     "What are you doing here, Jeanette? "

   I asked and stuck my hands in my front pocket. 

    "I missed you, I called and you weren't picking my call. What's better than to visit you? "

   She shrugged and I sighed, breathing out. 

  "You know Jeanette,  just because you're forcing yourself to get engaged to me doesn't mean you have to act like you're my everything "

   I smirked and watched his face fall. 

    "I'm not forcing myself to get engaged to you. Your father agreed to it "

   She crossed her arms and it's crazy she looked ugly. 

   "Yes cause your father forced him to. Cause we messed around one time doesn't mean you should act like you know me "

   I rolled my eyes and she scoffed. 

     "Oh, so it's cause of her you're acting weird Now? "

   I followed her gaze and it landed on the mermaid girl. 

   I watched her as she walked downstairs. She's wearing one of my shirts which stopped at her mid thighs. Why would she wear my shirt? 

   It's crazy she looked beautiful in it though. 

    "Another whore, red? "

   Jeanette scoffed. 

    "I don't remember needing your permission before I bring a girl to my house "

   I glared at her as the girl walked to us. 

    "Sorry, I was hungry "

   She muttered and smiled. She has dimples. 

   I didn't know mermaids eat or do they? I didn't even know they fucking exist. 

    "Yes whore, how about you pack your stinking ass and walk out of here butch! "

   Jeanette growled. She has no idea what or who she just messed with. The girl is crazy. 

    "I'm just gonna pretend I didn't hear that "

   The girl muttered and Jeanette face turned red. Yes, that shit hurts like hell. 

    "The room is by the left"

   I uttered to the mermaid girl and she nodded before walking away. 

    "Red you can't just bring girls here. We're getting married in a month "

   Jeanette uttered and I rolled my eyes. 

    "I don't remember you telling me what to do "

   "Fine, do what you want. I'm just gonna break this stupid thing off "

   She yelled and I smirked moving closer to her. 

   "I can't wait for you to do that, glad you finally come back to your senses "

   I smiled and she fumed before walking away with her guards. Stupid bitch! 

    "That was rude but truly, who's the bitch? I've never seen her here. "

   Pierce muttered and I turned my gaze to him. I can't just tell him she's a mermaid. 

"She's gonna be here for fifteen days. And don't ask any questions man "

  I groaned and he grinned. 

   "She's got a nice ass, though "

    I shook my head and head upstairs to my room.

   "Sure, I'll be there right away "

  I dropped my phone in my pocket and grabbed my car keys. 

   I walked downstairs and meet the mermaid girl eating and staring at the television. 

   I sighed and looked around for Pierce. I think he left. 

   I walked to the mermaid girl. 

  "Hey, I'll be out for some minutes. If you need anything. Just tell one of the guards. Okay? "

   I proceed to walk away but she ran in front of me. 

    "Why are you in my shirt anyways? "

  I asked, raising my brows and she looked down at herself before looking up to meet my gaze. 

    "I was uncomfortable in the ones you gave me "

   She shrugged and I nodded before walking away. 

   "But you can't go red. "

   I raised my brows at her and smirked. How did she figured out my name?

   "Who told you my name? "

  I uttered and she smiled. 

   "I figured it out. Though I don't know why you're Red. I mean it's not like you've red hair or red eyes. There isn't even Red anywhere here in your house so why are you named red and by the way my name is xara. Mother told me that it is the name of one of the greatest mermaid. She said princess xara was... "

   Damn, she take too fucking much. 

    "Just shut it. "

   I groaned and she shut up immediately. I proceeded to walk away but she beat me to it again. 

   "But you can't go "

  She pouted. Where did she learn to pout? Do mermaids pout? She's so full of surprises. 

   "And why is that? "

   I asked, crossing my arms. 

   "Cause I'm afraid of the rain. "

   She shrieked and I chuckled. She's afraid of the rain? 

   "It's not funny. I'm afraid of the thunder that comes with the rain . You can't just leave me here "

   She uttered, about to cry. 

She can't cry here. If her tears turned to pearls like it did earlier, my guards will figure out she's not human. 

    "You'll be fine. I'll be back soon "

   I muttered but she proceed to hug me. What the..? 

    "Please.. "

   She muttered and I rolled my eyes. Now she's breaking my number one rule. 

    "I told you not to touch me. "

  I yelled, turning back but she hugged me tighter when the thunder roared. 

    I sighed and text Pierce to meet with the Russian guy to make the deal since xara won't obviously let me go. 

    "Fine. Go to your room. I'm staying "

   I groaned and she pulled away and smiled at me. 

    "Please sleep with me in my room "
