I shouldn't have fallen for you

"His BP is dropping." The nurse looked at Crystal worriedly.

Crystal didn't look at the nurse. "Get some blood. Quick." She ordered. She put her hand up in front of the other nurse. "Give me the scalpel." She set the scalpel on the patient's hand and then she looked up at Dr. Rose. "Here?"

Dr. Rose was looking in the monitor, he checked it again before nodding. "Did you find it?" She asked.

Crystal cut the wound bigger before nodding and, extending her hand to the nurse. "Retractor."

The nurse gave her the retractor and after using it to separate the edges of the wound, Crystal glanced at Dr. Rose.

Dr. Rose sat on her seat as she stood up, she needed to pull the veins to tie it with others. "Tell me if you can feel." She glanced at the patient.

After finishing the surgery successfully they came out of the operation room. Crystal came to her office. It's time for her to check the new patients. She took the first report.

In the meantime, someone came inside her office without knocking. Crystal who was so busy reading the report looked up at the patient, her jaw almost dropped in shock when she saw the patient who was smiling at her.

Crystal blinked her eyes and shook her head, hoping she was seeing things.

"Suprise." He sneered.

Crystal clenched her hands into fists and forced herself to control her anger. "Why are you here? I have appointments. Leave before I call..."

"First of all, they'll not dare to touch me. Secondly, they'll not kick out a patient." Rayan said calmly.

Crystal narrowed her eyes. "Who is the patient?"

Rayan let out a soft sigh. "Of course. Me."

Crystal's face softened now. That's right, he got hit by a bullet in his stomach. Is he in pain still now? She felt anxious. "Does your stomach hurt?" She asked softly.

Rayan shook his head. "My back hurts."

"Where?" Crystal raised her brows.

Rayan sighed again. "How can I show you where?"

Crystal stood up and came in front of his chair. Rayan's breathing became heavier when she leaned and put her one hand on his back. He missed this touch, damn so much. He missed her addictive scent. He missed her eyes which were only fond of him.

"Are you really getting married to Alex?" He asked while swallowing.

Crystal was very sure now that he was fine. He just came here to ask her questions. She sighed deeply. "You lied, didn't you?" She looked at him, expressionless.

Rayan's heart almost dropped to his stomach when he saw the coldness in her eyes. Is everything end? Nothing is left between them?

"Leave," Crystal said sharply and started to go back to her chair. But before she could take a step, Rayan wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his head on her chest so that he could hear her heart pounding.

Crystal tried to pull away but her strength wasn't as strong as his. "What.. are you doing? Let me... go. It's my office.." She continued trying.

Rayan wrapped his arm more tightly, ignoring her resistance. When he felt her heavy heart pounding against his ear, a soft smile spread across his face. "It's pounding fast. That's mean.."

"Our heartbeat increased when we're nervous,  happy, excited, even when we're angry." Crystal corrected him with a sharp tone.

Rayan didn't want to believe what he heard. He shook his head. "Tell me it still beats for me." He pleaded. He wants to believe it, she still belongs to him.

Crystal bit her lip, trying hard to control her tears which were threatening to fall from her eyes. "It beats for another one." She muttered. It beats for Anne. My daughter. Our daughter.

Rayan swallowed hard, trying to gulp away the pain he was in now. "If it's not for me, it's not for Alex either." He said confidently, still hugging her tightly.

Crystal felt his trembling arms and a drop of warm water on her blouse. "Why? You used to..."

"I used to be jealous of him. And you know why! Don't try to change the topic. Tell me who is it. Who captured your heart?" Rayan asked.

Crystal sighed sharply. "Who are you? Who are you to ask me personal questions?" As she said that, she felt his arms around her waist loosened. She used her strength and set herself free from his hug.

But before she could make a safe distance between them, Rayan already stood up and pinned her against the wall hard, he held her hands tightly so that she can't move or push him.

"Rayan. I'll shout if you keep doing this." Crystal struggled. She knew what he was trying to do, but she'll not let him kiss her lips. She doesn't dare to look into his eyes. He was close. Their bodies were almost pressing with each other. Both of them were hearing their own heart pounding.

Rayan gulped and leaned closer to her. Crystal bit her lips and closed her tightly. She knew he was using his pervert teasing skill to melt her down. But no, she'll not.

He knew she'll not meltdown, but still, he wants to try. He felt his heart will bust out soon when his lips touched her neck. It's like a heart attack for him. Crystal wasn't struggling anymore, her knees went weak but he was gripping tightly on her hands. She hates herself for being so weak in front of this man.

Rayan ran his nose on her neck, planting sof, warm touches on the whole of her neck, sending her shivers. Their breath was becoming heavier in every minute. Rayan almost loses his control when Crystal's warm breath fell on his skin.

The moment he kissed tenderly on her neck with his warm lips, Crystal felt her heart went crazier. Now her body was trembling as his lips traveled to her ear. His breath was fanning against her skin, crazily!

When Crystal let out a soft moan, Rayan stopped kissing her neck, waited for the air to fill his lungs.

Tears started to pool in their eyes. Crystal released her lip which she was biting hard and opened her eyes. "Do you think that you can buy me with money now?" She said while looking at him.

Rayan felt a sharp knife stabbed in his heart seeing her coldness again. "Crystal. I'm sorry."

Tears started to roll down to her cheeks. "I know it's not your fault to appear in front of me again. But this time, you came willingly. Do you forget what I requested you last time? I requested you not to appear in front of me. You never listen to me." Crystal sobbed.

"Even if I forgive you. Nothing will be okay. Nothing will change. Can you change anything now?" Crystal asked.

Rayan froze. Can he change anything now? Can he? He doesn't know, because he didn't try to change anything and gave up on changing things a long time ago! His tears started to roll down as his grip on her hands loosened slowly.

Crystal laughed at herself sadly as more tears fall from her eyes. "You can't. . Don't force me to forgive you. Don't come back to me. Don't ask me if I still love you or not. Don't ask me if I love someone or not. Because I can't afford to think about anything now." She cried out.

Rayan pulled away from her, not looking at her. He was mute, fully mute.

Crystal looked at him painfully. " let me go. Live your life. Enjoy it. Enjoy with girls. You can have everything you want. But don't do this to me. I don't have the strength."

Rayan controlled his tears and looked at her. "I can't promise you anything. But I can promise I'll melt your frozen heart. You're telling me to enjoy with girls, right? Fine, I'll continue doing that. I'll let every girl have me. But you're mine. No one can have you. Even if we don't have an ending. Even if I end up marrying someone else, still I'll not let someone, have you. I've given you so much time to get married and have a family. You lost your chance to push this jerk away." He paused.

Crystal held her gaze. "Why? Why are you wasting time on me? You know there is no end of this."

Averting his gaze from her, he walked to the door and held the doorknob. "Someone told me once. If you are a boat that wants to sail in windy weather, you must be more stubborn than the waves! And about ending! If there is no end, then does that mean I'm wasting my time? It's the opposite. You have no idea Crystal how every day can shine because there is an end. People wished to promise forever because it can't last forever." He opened the door and left without giving her any chance to talk.

Crystal almost fell on the floor after he left, she quickly held the table as a support, sobbing silently. Her whole world was spinning around her like hell. What should I do? What can I do? Why are you doing this? I don't have any strength. Why did we meet on that day? I shouldn't have to meet with you, I shouldn't have fallen in love with you.

10 years ago...

The school bell rang. It's 4.30 pm. The students came out of their classes. The school is over for today. Rayan and Nick were walking together to the playground to play basketball with Daniel following them from behind. He'll just sit on the bleachers and cheered for his friends. He has no interest in basketball. John left fast today because of his father's bad health.

"I'm going to kill her. How dare she?" Rayan said through his gritted teeth.

Nick sighed. "Yea. Be cool. We're here to play basketball not to kill that girl."

"I'll be waiting here with water bottles and towels." Daniel said while going to sit on the bleachers.

Nick looked at Daniel who already passed them. "Don't sleep." He shouted, reminding him.

Daniel didn't look back at them, he put the bottle up and shook it. "I'll not."

Rayan looked at the bleachers and saw someone who caused his breath ragged. Crystal. She was waving at someone. Rayan looked at where she was looking at. She was waving at Alex, the heir of the LG group. He is the player in their opponent team.

Rayan turned to Nick. "I'll not play today. I have something important to do." He said before leaving. Nick saw he was going to the bleachers where Crystal was sitting. He wanted to follow him, but he can't leave. He looked at Daniel. Daniel blinked, signaling him that he was here.

Rayan came in front of Crystal and held her hand, he ignored the students who were looking at them. "Come with me." He pulled her up.

"Who are you?" Crystal widened her eyes shockingly and tried to jerk his hand away. But her strength was no match with his. He pulled her to the backside of the school and let go of her hand.

"Do you have amnesia? We met twice and I told you who am I. Still, you're asking." Rayan said as he glared at her.

Crystal rubbed her hand and glanced at his student id. She remembered she saw him in the canteen. "Ah! You're Rayan Parker. . That uncle."

Rayan glared at her murderously. "Do I look like an uncle to you?" He shouted angrily.

Crystal shook her head. "I didn't see your face in that club. That was a mistake. Is that matter anyway?"

Rayan let out a soft sigh. "You don't know who I am, right?"

"I know I know. You're the heir of.. the empire group." Crystal narrowed her gaze.

Rayan crossed his arms on his chest. "Tell me sorry."

Crystal raised her brows. "For what?"

Rayan clenched his jaw. "For your rude behavior in the canteen."

Crystal pressed her lips together and shook her head fiercely. "I'll not. Do you want me to put your money inside the charity box instead?" She asked with a smile before leaving.

Rayan's lips parted. He was so serious, how can she smile and leave this simply? Where is his hot temperature? Why is his anger melting? This is crazy! "Who is she?" He muttered.

Daniel came beside him and put his elbow on Rayan's shoulder, looking at Crystal who was leaving. "She is interesting, isn't she?"

Rayan turned his face to him and moved his elbow from his shoulder, expressionless. "NO! Not at all."
