Chapter 4

"What did you just say?" Tara asks, making sure that what she heard was right.

"I-I'm pregnant," Amelia says, looking down on her hands.

A few seconds after Amelia's confession, Tara laughs.

"HAHAHAHAHA Amelia I didn't know you were such a good joker," Tara says while laughing with tears in her eyes.

"I'M NOT JOKING!" Amelia shouts. She pulled something from her pocket and gave it to Tara.

Tara looks at the PT with shock. There two visible lines on it and she knows what it meant.

"A-are you sure? Maybe this is wrong"

Amelia pulls 5 pregnancy test from her pocket and showed them all to Tara. All of them have 2 visible lines.

"What? Don't tell me it was because of the one night stand?"

Amelia didn't say anything and kept her head down. She was silently weeping and her hands were trembling.

"Didn't you tell me that he used a condom?" Tara asks.

"I-I don't know. I-I don't remember" Amelia says, stuttering. She was sniffing and wiping her tears that kept falling like a waterfall down to her flushed cheeks.

Tara fell silent. For a few seconds, only the sound of Amelia's crying was heard.

"Lia" Tara calls out her friend's name as she grips her hand. Tara felt guilty as she thinks that it was her fault.

"You might not like what I'm about to suggest but...do you want to get an abortion?" Tara asks.

Amelia stops crying and looks at her friend in the eyes.

"Just think about it. My auntie's an OB, she will help you" Tara says with eyes full of sincerity, pity, and guilt for her friend.

"I..." Amelia thinks for a second. If she does get an abortion, will everything be ok? Will everything go back to normal?

Amelia nods her head without thinking about her decision.

"Ok. I'm going to call her. I'll book you an appointment for tomorrow" Tara says.

"Do your parents know yet?"

Amelia shakes her head and grips her fingers.

"Are you planning to tell them?" Tara asks.

"I don't know yet"

"Ok then, we're not going to tell them," Tara says and held Amelia's hand.

Tara opens the TV to brighten up the tense atmosphere of the room.

"By the way, do you remember the man you slept with?" Tara asks.

"I remember. He has blond hair, green eyes and..." Amelia stops as she recalls how Damian stared at her with his emerald green eyes as he devours her entirety. She still remembers everything as if it was yesterday. She can still feel his warm lips that kissed everything, his hands that caressed her gently, and his eyes that stared at her entire being full of nothing but lust. But remembering it at her current situation only made her feel regret and sadness.

"Lia?"

"Uh. His name is Damian" Amelia says as she snaps back to reality.

Her head turns to the TV that was playing the news. It was about the top 10 CEOs of the year. Amelia's eyes widened as the top 1 CEO was shown. It was him, with his forest eyes that seem to be able to see through anything. It was her first. It was Damian.

"Lia? What is it?" Tara asks and looks at the direction of Amelia's eyes.

"It's him," Amelia says.

"What? Who is he?" Tara asks again.

"He's the one I slept with"
