Nova

We stood in my office staring at each other like it was a staring contest, I could not help but admire what an handsome man he had become, not that he was not handsome back then but the matured look made him even more handsome.

"Mr Jordan Myers" I said not breaking eye contact.

"Miss Nova Lionel" he replied still holding my gaze, this was stupid I thought as I averted my eyes from his or maybe I just could not bear the emotions flooding through me.

"I knew you will give up eventually" he told me laughing, I know how crazy he can be but I am also the same girl I used to be, even better!

"That is because I don't have time to waste, now may I ask you, why do you want to work for us" I replied in an overly professional tone, he faked a serious look replied.

"Because my only one love works here and point of correction, I am here not to work for you but with you".

"I will pretend you never said any of that, so to begin with, you will need a photoshoot with us and also an interview because we will be giving these to Vogue! You are our new face" I told him and then gave him a printed series of questions. He only collected it and dropped it on the table without checking it out.

"Take your time to read that and pen down your responses, when you are done, return it to me..... That should be it for now, any question?" I added and waited for his question because I knew he would have.

"Would you like to have dinner with me?" He asked.

"Any official question?" I asked in reply getting a frustrated sigh from him.

"Are you really going to be like this? Look I know I did you wrong but......".

"But nothing, look Jordan I have a whole lot of work on my hands so please, excuse me!".

I gulped the juice in my mouth and replied her "You must be insane, I don't even know why I bothered to tell you" it was annoying, most especially because a part of me also thought she was right, but everytime I think about what he did to me, whatever it was I had left disappears.

Miley left her seat and came beside me, putting her hand over mine "I know he hurt you in the past but I think he was just young and stupid, tell me, do you plan on continuing your life this way?" I took my hands out of hers immediately.

"You just spilled bullshit, you know what? I think you should leave, go home!" I half-yelled, why does it seem to me as if she was supporting him? He treated me like he loved me, he made me fall deep in love with him and hurt me bad.

Miley stared at me like I grew horns "You don't mean it"

"I'm serious, get out".

It wasn't exactly an exciting day, one of the crazy teachers we have here pissed me off. I got detention for the first time in years because of that douche.

I was quietly in class paying attention when a crumbled paper landed in front of me, I had no idea where it came from, so I opened it curiously.

I turned around to see if there will be any sign of the writer, only to find a stupid smile on Jordan's face. He sent this shit? I frowned my face at him and signaled to him that I was going to to cut off his throat. That was when Miss. Whatever she is called thought it was nice to look towards me.

"Can you please tell me why you two have decided to turn my class into your love central?" For a moment I did not know she was talking to me until I felt everyone's eyes on me.

"What? Me?" I asked pointing at myself.

"No, me! Stupid... You two just earned yourself a detention, maybe it will give you even more time to play 'love'" She announced and continued her teaching.

Detention was not my thing, it was something that other people got but not me, it is just like a condition that you only hear people have but never actually did experience but thanks to this idiot that just appeared into my life, things are starting to happen.

The rest of the class went slowly with me orchestrating how to kill this Jordan boy, it is cool that he is the new boy gaining all the girl's attention, makes me wonder why of all these girls, he chose to bother me.

I thought he was a student in this school before, he spent more time with sports that necessary, now that the girls get to see him up close in class, they won't stop drooling.

He was just laughing like the stupid idiot he is, I hate him, I hate him with every bit of me!

In no time we were both in the library, after doing a little cleaning in there which was not meant to be a part of our punishment and must I add that I did it all alone. We had to sit in here for another one hour before we are free to leave this hell hole.

It wouldn't have been an hell hole if this jerk was not in here but newsflash, he is!

"So you are Nova, more like novice!" He laughed stupidly, probably hoping to gain my attention but I gave him none.

"I have a party Friday, I want you to be there" he tried again.

"No" was my short but direct response which I was hoping would hurt his feelings and get him to leave me alone.

"Party is not your scene uhn? Lunch Saturday? Dinner? I could come around to....."

"Would you please stop? You are an ass, and I don't like you for anything so no! I don't want to be at your party, neither do I want to torture myself by spending time with you, so if you don't mind please leave me be! You got us in here afterall" Damn, I can't believe I said all that in less than thirty seconds but that should be enough to get him to leave me.

He had a stupid smirk on his face but somehow I liked it, what I did not like was the way he was staring at me in amusement.

"You are a tough one ain't you? I love the tough ones" he said, I was praying for the strength to ignore him when the principal walked in.

"You two can leave now, your detention is over" he told us, without thinking, I picked my bag and walked out immediately before he changed his mind.

Jordan picked his bag as well rushing after me which made me increase my pace, I don't want another moment with his annoying face.
